PC Box교량의 화재에 대한 열응력해석 (The Fire induced Thermal Stress Analysis of PC Box Bridge)

  • In this study the fire, due to overturning of oil tanker on the bridge induced heat transfer analysis and thermal stress analysis are carried out. The results of analysis for fire history of 1 hour present very large thermal gradient near the surface. However, the temperature increase of tendon & rebar that is the main resistant member of bridge is not sufficient to change material properties. The Von-Mises yield criteria is used to calculate the depth of delamination, The depth of delamination is about 4cm at center of fire and this value is close to measured value.

  • Net present value (NPV) and return on investment (ROI) are commonly used to evaluate investment in new technologies. Sometimes, however, measuring the value of investment in new IT becomes very difficult due to its wide scope of application coupled with embedded options in its adoption. Therefore, comprehensive but easily understandable methodologies are needed to solve the complicated problems resulting from the complexity of new technologies. This paper employs a real option analysis to evaluate RFID adoption in the supply chain. Real options analysis should be a better way to evaluate a disruptive technology like RFID.

  • We consider a filling process problem on a production line. Up to present this problem have examined by 100% inspection. Thus a target value is determined which takes into account the regular selling prices, the reprocess cost, the excess quality cost and the process variability and so on. However, in this paper we propose a solution under specified sampling plan when the inspection is nondestructive.

  • We consider the Cauchy problem for Laplacian. Using the single layer representation, we obtain an equivalent system of boundary integral equations. We show the singular values of the ill-posed Cauchy operator decay exponentially, which means that a small error is exponentially amplified in the solution of the Cauchy problem. We show the decaying rate is dependent on the geometry of he domain, which provides the information on the choice of numerically meaningful modes. We suggest a pseudo-inverse regularization method based on singular value decomposition and present various numerical simulations.

We present criterions using the independence of some suitable functions of lower records in a sequence of independent identically distributed random variables $\{X_n,\;n{\geq}1\}$.

In this paper, we examine the implications of social ethics and public value of advertising under 4 perspectives of advertising, present the direction of future medical advertising, and suggest the meaning and expected effect of the preliminary medical advertising review system.

탄천 이용자의 인식조사를 통한 생태계서비스의 트레이드오프 관계 고찰 (A Study of Ecosystem Services Trade-off based on user Perception in Tancheon)

  • Since the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment Report was published in 2005, the conflict between development and the preservation of the ecological environment has turned to paying attention to value assessments in rational decision-making. In recent years, the concept of ecosystem services has been recognized as a viable one for making significant decisions. However, a trade-off between increase and decrease occurs between the ecosystem services sub-categories (cultural service, regulating service, supporting service, and provisioning service), for which research centering on target sites is needed. To this end, the present study aims to investigate the trade-off relationship between service categories to search for reasonable decision-making strategies. As the research method, a survey was conducted using the translated version of SoIVES(Social Value for Ecosystem Services) 3.0 questionnaire of the United States Geological Survey. The research findings demonstrate the economic value, based on the derived monetary value of each service category, the economic value of the target site was compared among landscape aesthetic value 8,050,000 won, recreation value 6,750,000 won, biodiversity value 4,610,000 won, healing value 3,970,000 won, life-sustaining value 2,090,000 won, and productive value 220,000 won. And then the primarily recognized value criteria of the Tancheon ecosystem services illustrate landscape aesthetic and recreation value. Besides, this study illustrates visualized trade-off relationships based on user perception, and the derived relations illustrate the trade-off relationship between the cultural service, regulating service, supporting service, and provisioning service, as well as relationships between the components of the sub-categories.

A Study on the Type of Clothing Consumption Values and the Development of Scales

  • The purpose of this study was to present basic materials that can be utilized for better understanding of consumers behavior and the formation of marketing strategies through development of scales on the basis of recognition of the type clothing consumption value. The subjects selected for the final analysis were 654 females and 618 males. Re data were collected using a questionnaire after a focus group interview, and analyzed through factor analysis. The result of this study were as follows; 1. A total of 63 questions were selected for males and 68 questions for females and Cornbach's α was 0.97 for both males and females. 2. Males clothing consumption values were comprised of outward attractiveness, situational-social, psychological, functional, epistemic, and fashion values, while females were comprised fashion, psychological, outward attractiveness, functional, situational, personality expression, and social values, which showed clothing consumption values differ between males and females. 3. Re clothing consumption value regarded as the most important by undergraduates was that associated with outward attractiveness, such as expression of an attractive and ideal image, suitability for ones outward appearance, and outward appearance to members of the other sex.

소셜 커머스 지속 사용의도에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Continuous Use Intention of Social Commerce)

  • In this paper, we identified the factors influencing on the continuous use intention of social commerce and analyzed the proposed model empirically using structural equation model, which was developed by considering hedonic and utilitarian shopping value, trust, satisfaction, familiarity, social influence, and perceived price. We collected data for this study by surveying the consumers who had an experience of purchasing through social commerce. An analysis of 212 respondents indicated that utilitarian and hedonic shopping value influenced on satisfaction as both of shopping value are significant statistically. Social commerce gives more attraction their consumers by reducing the price to half, whereas they are expected to present playfulness of shopping. Familiarity, social influence, and perceived price are influential factors in a purchase of social commerce sites. We discuss the implications of our findings for both theory and practice.

Eigen Value 기반의 영상검색 기법 (Eigen Value Based Image Retrieval Technique)

  • Digital image and video libraries require new algorithms for the automated extraction and indexing of salient image features. Eigen values of an image provide one important cue for the discrimination of image content. In this paper we propose a new approach for automated content extraction that allows efficient database searching using eigen values. The algorithm automatically extracts eigen values from the image matrix represented by the covariance matrix for the image. We demonstrate that the eigen values representing shape information and the skewness of its distribution representing complexity provide good performance in image query response time while providing effective discriminability. We present the eigen value extraction and indexing techniques. We test the proposed algorithm of searching by eigen value and its skewness on a database of 100 images.
