The purpose of this study was to investigate lifestyle of male college students and their preference of casual wear style. A questionnaire consisted of 60 lifestyle items, 1 casual wear style-preference question and demographic variables was developed. Data were collected from questionnaires distributed to male college students of 7 universities located in the Daegu${\cdot}$Gyeongbuk area during August 2003. After eliminating incomplete questionnaires, 303 were analyzed by descriptive statistics, factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, and $x^2-test$. As a result of factor analysis on lifestyle items, 8 factors were determined: consumption and fashion orientation, future preparation, social concern, a wide range of thought and experience, health orientation, independent spirit, masculinity, and family orientation. 4 groups were identified on the basis of these 8 factors and named as active pragmatic group, liberal empirical group, prospective self-supporting group, and social accommodative group. Their component ratio were $30.2\%,\;33.2\%,\;19.6\%,\;and\;16.9\%$ respectively. The most preferred casual wear style by male college students was determined as basic casual wear, followed by adult casual wear, fashionable casual wear, and sporty casual wear. Other than the most preferred style, basic casual wear, by every group, the preference of casual wear styles differed among 4 lifestyle groups.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine learning styles and preferred learning methods of undergraduate nursing students in Korea. Method: Data was collected from 724 nursing students at five universities in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, and Gwangju. Kolb's Learning Style Inventory, a self-report questionnaire was completed. Result: Learning styles of nursing students were diverger 43.5%, accommodator 36.7%, assimilator 10.8%, or converger 9.0% Learning styles were significantly different related to preferred future clinical practice area and grade. Furthermore, active experimentation(AE) learning mode was significantly different by grade. Concrete experience(CE), conceptualization(AC), and active experimentation(AE) learning modes were significantly different preferred future clinical practice area. preferred learning methods were lecture 40.7%, clinical practice 37.2%, self-directed learning 8.7%, laboratory practice 8.0%, and group discussion 5.4%. Preferred learning methods were significantly different by learning styles and grade. Lecture was preferred in diverger and assimilator. Clinical practice was preferred in accommodator and converger. Styles Conclusion: This study suggested that nursing education should be applied to nursing students after examining learning styles and preferred learning methods. In conclusion, nursing educators should help to develop various learning modes for student's balanced learning capabilities.

This study purposed to analyze the preference suit design of spring and summer for elderly women who become weak in physical, physiological and psychological aspects. Accordingly, a questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze clothes elderly women prefer and present design. As a result, the following conclusions were obtained : First, The style of outfit that elderly women preferred when they went out was a tailored collar jacket and a straight slacks suit. On the assumption that they buy a jacket, however, they preferred a peter pan collar jacket, while they did not like a tailored collar jacket. Second, They liked light and bright pink and yellow colors as color of clothes for spring season, but they preferred grey color most in buying suit actually. For autumn season, they preferred beige, brown or grey colors most. With regard to materials for suit, they liked wool solid fabrics with stretch. As for a blouse, they preferred a single color most. There were significant difference between preference suit design and Assumption of buying suit design.

본 논문은 사이버 학습체제의 확산으로 학교와 가정에서 인터넷 학습에 많은 시간을 할애하게 되는 초, 중등 학습자들이 인터넷 학습 시 어떤 유형의 학습양식을 선호하고 있으며, 이는 교수자들의 인식과 어떻게 다른지를 분석하여 이를 바탕으로 향후 인터넷 학습에서 고려할 시사점을 도출하는데 목적이 있다. 본 논문은 전국의 초등학생 386명, 중학생 627명, 사이버 교사 130명을 대상으로 학생들과 교사들의 인식차이 분석을 하였다. t-검증 결과, 초등학생과 중학생들은 인터넷 학습 환경에서 자기주도적 학습양식을 선호하였고, 교사들도 학생들이 자기주도적 학습양식을 선호한다고 판단하였다 하지만 교사들의 관점은 학생들 스스로가 자신들을 자기주도적, 의존형이라고 인식하고 있는 것에 비해 더욱 많이 학생들을 자기주도적, 의존형이라고 판단함으로서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다 이는 향후 초, 중등 학습자들을 위한 인터넷 학습의 설계와 개발 전략 수립에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 중요한 시사점을 제공한다. 결론으로 본 논문은 향후 초, 중등 인터넷 교육 콘텐츠에서 교수자와 학습자 양쪽의 학습양식에 대한 시각을 반영한 설계와 개발이 이루어져야 하며, 각 교과목별로도 특성화된 교수전략 및 학습전략을 수립하고, 사이버 교사들의 튜터링 전략에서도 차별화가 이루어져야함을 제안한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate foreigners' preferences in Korean foods as served in Korean restaurants. A questionnaire was constructed for this study and sent to foreigners residing in the Seoul area. The study showed that when they have a chance to choose a restaurant for eating out, the decision to choose a Korean-Style restaurant is made on the basis of the special flavor of Korean food as well as the desire to experience Korean traditional food culture. Korean style barbecue, mixed vegetables, and dumplings are preferred by most foreigners. Beef rib stew and pibimbab were also selected frequently. Muk, maeuntang, rice cakes, cold noodles and sea weeds were not preferred.

Presently, sleep disorders are rapidly increasing due to sudden social development and lifestyle diversification. Among the various factors contributing to comfortable sleep, bedclothes are a major factor that readily influence the sleeping conditions, as they directly come in contact with the human body. This study therefore researches use and purchasing status of bedclothes by consumers, as well as the subjective satisfaction. This would accordingly help us to understand the consumers' performance needs, and collect basic data to develop bedclothes that assist comfortable sleep. This study used multiple choice questions and a 5-point Likert scale in a survey-style research. The results of the study indicate that consumers prudently considered practicality and durability, as bedclothes are seldom purchased. The most preferred material was cotton, but the use of microfiber, a new material, has also increased. Further, consumers' preferred lightweight bedclothes that displayed excellent water absorption, thermal insulation, durability, detergency, and flexibility. Hence, bedclothes developed according to the results of this study are expected to aid comfortable sleep.

The study examined the preference and style of consumption of perilla leaves(Perilla frutescens var. japonica Hara), a popular food item in Korea, by consumers in the Daejeon area. Of the respondents 35.2% purchased perilla leaves in a large super-market limited to two to three bundles. Comsumer preferences were to consume the leaves raw or pickled with salt or soy sauce, or use as a fish soup ingredient. The majority of consumers aged 20~29-years-of age preferred to wrap sashimi with perilla leaves. As a side dish, regardless of age, consumers preferred to pan-fried perilla leaves with mincedmeat and perilla leaves.

한국과 미국의 사이클 선수들이 선호하는 사이클복에 대하여 조사하였으며 착용실태 파악을 위한 설문조사는 1997년 8월-10월 사이에 한국과 미국에서 동시에 실시하였고 총 145명 (한국인=79명, 미국인 =66명)의 설문결과가 데이터 분석에 이용되었다 설문내용은 인적사항 사이클복에 대한인식 및 계절에 따라 선호하는 스타일 등에 대해 35문항으로 구성되어 있으며 질문형식은 그림형과 서술형으로 나누어 작성하였다. 데이터는 빈도와 백분율로 비교하였고 {{{{ chi ^2 }} 와 Fisher's exact 방법을 이용하여 그 결과를 고찰하였다. 한국인 사이클 선수들의 Rohrer 지수는 한국 표준 체위조사의 같은 나이 집단의 수치와 거의 차이가 없으며미국인 남자 사이클 선수는 같은 나이 집단의 미국 군인들을 위한 체위조사 결과보다 낮은 수치를 나타냈다. 한국의 여자 사이클 선수들 중 79.6%가 사이클복이 시합이나 훈련중 기록향상에 영향을 미친다고 응답하였다. 대부분의 미국인 사ㅣ클 선수들은 그들이 착용한 사이클복에 만족하고 있으며 상하가 분리된 스타일을 선호하였다, 한국과 미국의 사이클 선수들은 jersey 의 경우 round neckline에 stand collar가 있는 스타일을 좋아하며 jersey 와 shorts 모두 몸에 꼭 맞는 스타일을 선호하였다.

Korea is quickly transforming into an aging society. As a reaction to the accelerated aging society in recent years, there is a growing need to introduce sustainable housing policies and strategies for aging society. The main purpose of this study is to explore where people want to live after retirement. Especially, this study focuses on the residential environment such as housing types, residential location, and living environment. The main findings are as follows. First, people preferred living in a sububan-style housing in the suburban or rural areas to living in a city-style housing in the urban areas. Second, people have a strong preference for the importance of convenience in using natural environment, medical service, and cultural facilities. Third, the family life style has been changed from children-oriented life style to couple-oriented life style by showing that people like to stay with a spouse rather than with their children after retirement.

The Purpose of this study was to investigate the preference of fashion style, the clothing attitude and the preferred fashion style based on sex-role attitude. Sample.; in this study were 305 white collar adult male in Seoul, Korea. The stimuli consisted of 16 color photographs made by identical manipulations of 4 independent variables (jacket, pants, vest, neck-tie) consisting of two levels each (classic and fashion style). For analyzing data, frequency analysis, percent, mean, standard deviation, ANOVA, $X^2$ test, Duncan test, and Cronbach's u were used The results are as follows. 1. According to the preference analysis of the fashion style, white collar adult male prefer to wear clothing style than fashion in all clothing style, except for rolled-up pants. 2. According to the fashion interest (I) based on the preference analysis of the fashion style, the fashion oriented group had high fashion interest (I) in jacket, pants, and neck-tie. 3. According to the clothing attitude based on the preference analysis of the fashion style; for jacket, the fashion oriented group had high fashion interest, but had no relation with status symbols consciousness, clothing conformity, individuality; for vest, the fashion oriented group had high fashion interest (II) and individuality, but had no relation with status symbols 4. According to the clothing attitude based on the sex-role attitude, the group of masculine and feminine had high score in fashion interest (II), status symbols consciousness, and individuality
