  • Precast Concrete apartments were main stream of domestic industrialized housing around 90's , and Steel Houses applying Steel Stud technique with light weighted steel have been dominant portion since 1995. On the other hand, various building techniques including Steel Stud method and highly prefabricated and industrialized Unit method are prevailing in developed countries like Japan. Steel Stud and Unit Box have their own merits and demerits, but the more crucial aspect is that the constant design standard should be applied in each design procedure. It entails the necessity of industrial housing development on the Open System basis. In this study, the design standard for Unit house will be established coping with the established preparing standard for design specifications defined by Architectural Law and Promotion Law of Housing Construction. That is for design standard of industrialized private housing on the Open System basis.

  • The Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVDs) method is one of the most widely used techniques to accelerate the consolidation process in-situ and hence increase its bearing capacity. In this paper, the degree of consolidation incorporated with PVDs was evaluated in O construction work site which composed with dredged soil. O Program PVD(Version 2.3) which developed by Asian Institute of Technology was used. The purpose of this analysis is efficiently to estimate the degree of consolidation by analyzing the surface settlement with time, and drainage at initial stage and final stage by using design-parameter which based on the in-situ tests and laboratory tests. This result can be compared with analysis of the degree of consolidation using Program PVD(Version 2.3) and the field observed data in the future studies.

  • Pre-tension Girder using Precast Concrete bed System have advantage of simplifying construction process, reducing prestress-loss and cost compared with post-tension Girder. That is because it is possible to produce pre-tension Girder by prefabricated concrete bed in site not factory. This paper present pre-tension girder method using precast concrete bed system and field application.

  • Total suspendid solid (TSS) of non point source pollutants in construction site are in higher concentration than others (BOD, COD etc). Also, the TSS concentration is very sensitive to the rainfall intensity in early stage of construction. There are two methods for treatment of non point source pollutants, which are temporary treatment facility and filtering one. But they have disadvantages. Temporary facility system has very low efficiency and filtering system consumes high energy and takes up large footprint. This study shows how prefabricated flocculation/coagulation system is developped to cover the above weakness and evaluation of the system performance in construction site. The prefabricated flocculation/coagulation system has very high treatment efficiency comparing with temporary and filtering system and takes small footprint. Therefore, it expects that the system leads to prevention of pollution near construction site and reduction of public grievance. Proper coagulant dosage and sludge circulation facility application, controlling the height of sludge interfacial are necessary to maximize the system efficiency.

Soil Improvement Effect of Waste Lime Sludge Using Prefabricated Vertical Drains (연직배수재를 이용한 폐석회 슬러지의 지반개량 효과)

  • The disposal problem of waste lime which is a residual product of lime industry have caused a lots of arguments in the past few years. Further more, waste lime contains a high moisture content which causes the disposal of waste lime is a great difficulty. The purpose of this study is to investigate for the effective dewatering solutions by placing various prefabricated vertical drains. The moisture content and degree of consolidation, pore water pressure, changes of settlement, bearing capacity with various vertical drains in waste lime were analyzed. The laboratory test results indicate that PBD is 2 times higher than circular drain in coefficient of consolidation. Based on the laboratory test results, settlement, pore water pressure, and dewatering measurements are shown in similar tendency. It is considered that PBD can drain primitive pore water much efficiently. The picture of SEM shows that circular drain filter has a serious clogging problem in comparison with PBD. In conclusion, PBD holds a superiority in waste lime's ground improvement and dewatering pore water pressure from the waste lime sludge. Also, circular drain is desired for some modification in its filtering system.

  • In order to manufacture functional and esthetic prostheses, it is essential to accurately transmit information about the patient's occlusal plane. In particular, in the case of a completely edentulous patient, the occlusal plane is very important to correctly support the soft tissue, to achieve aesthetic harmony with the facial appearance, and to properly pronounce it, and to form a balanced occlusal relationship for stable mastication. In the conventional method, various facebow systems were used to transmit patient's information from the clinic to the laboratory, but there were several limitations in the process of transferring them to CAD. To simplify this process, a prefabricated POP (PNUD Occlusal Plane) Bow system was recently developed. In this case, a CAD-CAM (Computer-aided design-computer-aided manufacturing) treatment dentures reflecting the patient's occlusal plane information was manufactured using the POP Bow system during the treatment of a completely edentulous patient, and aesthetic and functional satisfaction was obtained.

  • External prestressing method is the most papular method to strengthen concrete structures. The key parts of external prestressing method is an anchoring device which holds the prestressing cables. The most popular anchoring devices is an end bearing type, which has to be welded at site to assamble the anchor. The welding at site has a significant Quality problem. In this paper, new anchoring system has been developed, which needs no site welding. A design method for the new anchor has been proposed and developed to optimize the anchoring system. The developed anchors are very efficient, small, and compact, which have two types, one for abutment section and the other one for pier section. The anchors are expected to be used very widely, because of its convinience.

  • In nowdays many dental CAD/CAM system were developed. Among those only Cerec and Celay were used globally as clinical application. Celay is a machinable ceramic system that is capable of milling inlays, onlays, and veneers from prefabricated industrial ceramic blocks(Vita Celay Blanks). The advatages of Celay are to simplify the manufactures and to save the processing time. For esthetics In-Ceram Alumina bridges were introduced into maxillary anterior restoration. They have a high strength, a high translucency and an excellent marginal adapation. But the laboratory processes are very difficult and complicated. So the construction of In-Ceram Alumina bridge combined with celay system was desgined. The patient is a 28 year old age male. The chief complain is missing of maxillary left central incisor. He wants to restore anterior bridge for esthetically. The Alumina bridge framework was constructed easily by celay system. Glass ilfiltration was occurred. After that, vitadura-${\alpha}$porcelain build up was occurred by conventional method. The translucency of In-Ceram Alumina 3 unit bridge revealed to be superior to that of porcelain fused to metal bridge. So we report it with clincal case and literature reviews.

This study attempts to propose the design automation, with the method of unit construction of which the rate of pre-fabrication is the biggest, that can cope with the demand of user on the basis of open-system. Ticky-tacky is the biggest technical problem in suppling industrialization housing. Therefore, we will suggest a basic plan for design automation of unit modular housing which can raise the productivity of industrialization housing by applying open system, utilized by DB of component and unit, and solve the problem concerned about ticky-tacky.

Cloud monitoring system for assembled beam bridge based on index of dynamic strain correlation coefficient

  • The hinge joint is the key to the overall cooperative working performance of the assembled beam bridge, and it is also the weakest part during the service period. This paper proposes a method for monitoring and evaluating the lateral cooperative working performance of fabricated beam bridges based on dynamic strain correlation coefficient indicator. This method is suitable for monitoring and evaluation of hinge joints status between prefabricated girders and overall cooperative working performance of bridge, without interruption of traffic and easy implementation. The remote cloud monitoring and diagnosis system was designed and implemented on a real assembled beam bridge. The algorithms of data preprocessing, online indicator extraction and status diagnosis were given, and the corresponding software platform and scientific computing environment for cloud operation were developed. Through the analysis of real bridge monitoring data, the effectiveness and accuracy of the method are proved and it can be used in the health monitoring system of such bridges.
