  • The amendment to the Higher Education Act enforced on February 20, 2024, abolishing the traditional 2-year pre-med and 4-year medical school programs, marks a significant shift in medical education in Korea. The academic system reform is expected to be a driving force for large-scale curriculum revision, presenting an opportunity to introduce new educational innovations not only in curriculum but also in student assessment and support systems. Addressing these challenges requires collaborative efforts among educators, students, and communities to navigate the evolving landscape of medical education effectively. In this regard, I will illustrate the recruitment and development of educators to implement the reform and the collaboration between communities and medical schools to innovate medical education.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine how the pre-test performed before training affects the results of CPR performance. In the case of the pre-test group(PTG), a pre-evaluation was performed for 1 minute before training, and the group that did not perform the pre-test(NPTG) performed only regular education. In both groups, skill test was performed for 1 minute after training. As a result of comparing the pre and post-test of PTG, there were statistically significant changes in chest compression depth, rate, and compression recoil. There was a statistically significant difference only in the chest compression rate in the chest compression performance results of the two groups after training. There was a statistically significant difference in the results of confidence after training in both groups. It is judged that the pre-test conducted before training has a good influence not only on the results of chest compression, but also on confidence improvement. Therefore, it is judged that it is necessary to develop additional programs such as pre-education test in order to increase the concentration of CPR education for the general population.

  • Distance Learning Education has been adopted as an alternative educational method to actively face the changing educational field. Fashion design education essentially requires not only a theoretical but also a practical process in which feedback comes through personal interactions between an instructor and a student. Hence, the existing WBI system exemplifies its limitations by applying only a one-way methodology that limit interactions based only on the theoretical texts. The objective of this study was to reveal the effects of an originally designed Distance Education program factoring in a teaching-learning methodology that addresses the practical demands of a fashion design program. So It analyzed the pre-existing conditions through a questionnaire survey of 472 students and 60 fashion design instructors to determine how the traditional fashion design education is different from other programs and which method is being applied. then, It designed and applied an original web-based distance educational system specifically incorporating the needs of the fashion design curriculum based on the data collected from the survey questionnaire.

The sample consisted of 205 Korean female college students, ranging in age from 20 to 25 years old. In this study, a self-administered questionnaire included 6 pages with close-ended multiple-choice questions, and included a cover page with 15 questions on demographic characteristics and personal experiences related to breastfeeding. Data analysis was done utilizing inferential statistics using SPSS 12.0 computer program. The findings indicated that breastfeeding education programs should focus on the practical aspect of attitudes toward. breastfeeding, and that educational information design should focus on the practical aspects of breastfeeding for all. levels of students' education by nurses. Therefore, education for female college students seems to be an effective intervention to increase breastfeeding rate. This study is useful for descriptions of educational activities to help female students develop positive attitudes to breastfeed, to help these students have confidence toward breast-feeding in future by providing correct information and practical techniques on breastfeeding.
