This article discusses the issue of optimizing controller design issues, in which the artificial intelligence (AI) evolutionary bat (EB) optimization algorithm is combined with the fuzzy controller in the practical application of the building. The controller of the system design includes different sub-parts such as system initial condition parameters, EB optimal algorithm, fuzzy controller, stability analysis and sensor actuator. The advantage of the design is that for continuous systems with polytypic uncertainties, the integrated H2/H∞ robust output strategy with modified criterion is derived by asymptotically adjusting design parameters. Numerical verification of the time domain and the frequency domain shows that the novel system design provides precise prediction and control of the structural displacement response, which is necessary for the active control structure in the fuzzy model. Due to genetic algorithm (GA), we use a hierarchical conditions of the Hurwitz matrix test technique and the limits of average performance, Hierarchical Fitness Function Structure (HFFS). The dynamic fuzzy controller proposed in this paper is used to find the optimal control force required for active nonlinear control of building structures. This method has achieved successful results in closed system design from the example.
In this study, control technique of two types of automatic snowplow was experimentally investigated. One is a remote-controlled snowplow used for removing snow around houses, and the other is an autonomous snowplow for use in wide, open spaces such as a parking lot of a large-scale retail store. A commercially available snowplow was modified to enable remote control by the use of a personal handy-phone system. The autonomous controller utilizes a vision sensor that consists of a CCD video camera and a computer for image processing. In addition, design of a practical landmark was examined.
In recent years, an increasing number of experimental studies have shown that the practical application of mature active control systems requires consideration of robustness criteria in the design process, including the reduction of tracking errors, operational resistance to external disturbances, and measurement noise, as well as robustness and stability. Good uncertainty prediction is thus proposed to solve problems caused by poor parameter selection and to remove the effects of dynamic coupling between degrees of freedom (DOF) in nonlinear systems. To overcome the stability problem, this study develops an advanced adaptive predictive fuzzy controller, which not only solves the programming problem of determining system stability but also uses the law of linear matrix inequality (LMI) to modify the fuzzy problem. The following parameters are used to manipulate the fuzzy controller of the robotic system to improve its control performance. The simulations for system uncertainty in the controller design emphasized the use of acceleration feedback for practical reasons. The simulation results also show that the proposed H∞ controller has excellent performance and reliability, and the effectiveness of the LMI-based method is also recognized. Therefore, this dynamic control method is suitable for seismic protection of civil buildings. The objectives of this document are access to adequate, safe, and affordable housing and basic services, promotion of inclusive and sustainable urbanization, implementation of sustainable disaster-resilient construction, sustainable planning, and sustainable management of human settlements. Simulation results of linear and non-linear structures demonstrate the ability of this method to identify structures and their changes due to damage. Therefore, with the continuous development of artificial intelligence and fuzzy theory, it seems that this goal will be achieved in the near future.
In this paper, the model-matching control in the longitudinal autonomous driving system is investigated by vehicle dynamics simulation, which contains nonlinear subcomponents and simplified subcomponents. The design of the robust model-matching controller is performed by the characteristics of the 2 degrees of freedom controller, which is composed of the feedforward compensator and the feedback compensator. It makes the characteristics of tractive and brake force to be equivalent to the specific transfer function, which is suggested as the reference model. Mathematical models of vehicle dynamic analysis including the model-matching control are constructed for computer simulation. Then, simple examples on open-loop simulation without any controller and closed loop simulation with the model-matching controller are applied to check the validity of the robust controller. As the practical example, the autonomous driving system in the longitudinal direction is adopted. It is proved that the model-matching control is effective and adequate to the disturbances and the perturbations, which are shown in the responses of the change of a vehicle mass and a road gradient.

Nonlinear optimal control problems lead to Hamilton-Tacobi equations which are not analytically solvable for most practical problems. This difficulty has led to the development of suboptimal nonlinear design techniques such as controller design based on feedback linearization(FL). In this paper, we present some simple examples where the optimal answer can be found for the optimal controller, FL controller and linear controller and determine its relative performance. As a result, we get the condition of a nonlinear system for the FL controller to an optimal design.
The CCDs are widely used in astronomical observations either in direct imaging use or spectroscopic mode. However, the areas of available sensors are too small for large imaging format. One possibility to obtain large detection area is to assemble mosaics of CCD, and drive them simultaneously. Parallel driving of many CCDs together rules out the possibility of individual tuning; however, such optimisation is very important, when the ultimate low light level performance is required, particularly for new, or mixed devices. In this work, a new concept is explored for an entirely novel approach, where the drive waveforms are multiplexed and interleaved. This simultaneously reduces the number of leadout connections and permits individual optimisation efficiently. The digital controller can be designed within a single EPLD (Erasable Programmable Logic Device) chip produced by a CAD software package, where most of the digital controller circuits are integrated. This method can minimise the component. count., and improve the system efficiency greatly, based on earlier works by Han et a1. (1996, 1994). The system software has an open architecture to permit convenient modification by the user, to fit their specific purposes. Some variable system control parameters can be selected by a user with a wider range of choice. The digital controller design concept allows great flexibility of system parameters by the software, specifically for the compatibility to deal with any number of mixed CCDs, and in any format, within the practical limit.

An industrial robot, installed real manufacturing processes an element of the system autmation, can be considered as an uncertain system due to dynamic uncertainties in inertial parameters and varying payloads. Most difficuties in controlling a robot manipulator are caused by the fact that the dynamic equations describing the motions of the manipulator are inherently nonlinear and heavily coupled effects between joints and associated links. Existing robot conrol systems have constant predefined gains and do not cover the complex dynamic interactions between manipulator joints. As a result, the manipulator is severly limited in range of application, speed of operation and variation of payload. The proposed controller is operated by adjusting its gains based on the response of the manipulator in such a way that the manipulator closely matches the reference model trajectories defined by the desinger. The proposed manipulator studied has two loops, an inner loop of model reference adaptive controller and an outer loop of state feedback controller with integral action to guarantee the stability of the adaptive scheme. This adaptation algorithm is based on the hyperstailiy approach with an improved Lyapunov function. The coupling among joints and the nonlinearity in the dynamic equation are explicitly considered. The designed manipulator controller shows good tracking performance in practical working environment, various load variations and parameter uncertainties.

In this paper, we attempt to control induction motors with high power efficiency as well as high dynamic performance by utilizing the recently developed theories : singular perturbation technique and noninteracting feedback control. Our controller consists of three subcontrollers` a saturation current controller, a decoupling controller, and a well-known flux simulator. The decoupling controller decouples rotor speed (or motor torque) and rotor flux linearly. Our controller does not need the rotor resistance that varies widely with the machine temperature. To illuminate the practical significance of our results, we present simulation and experimental results as well as mathematical performance analysis.
Luenberger observer (LO)-based sensorless multi-loop control of a converter requires an iterative trial-and-error design process, considering that many parameters should be determined, and loop gains are indirectly related to the closed-loop characteristics. Robust H∞ control adopts a compact sensorless controller. The algebraic Riccati equation (ARE)-based and linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based H∞ approaches need an exhaustive procedure, particularly for a low-order controller. Therefore, in this study, a novel robust H∞ synthesis approach is proposed to design a low-order sensorless controller for boost converters, which need not solve any ARE or LMI, and to parameterize the controller by an adjustable parameter behaving like a "knob" on the closed-loop characteristics. Simulation results show the straightforward closed-loop characteristics evaluation and better dynamic performance by the proposed H∞ approach, compared with the LO-based sensorless multi-loop control. Practical experiments on a digital processor confirmed the simulation results.

In the two-mass servo system driving a load through a flexible shaft, a shaft torsional vibration is often generated. PI controller has been generally used is speed control of such system because of the simplicity of structure and related theory. This paper presents the inertia ratio of the PI servo control system which can be designed by using optimal pole assignment method is fixed. Therefore, it's difficult to obtain the desired control characteristics for different systems only by PI control algorithm. To solve this problems the two-mass speed control system with PID controller is designed by using pole assignment method and an optimum PID parameters are derived by evaluating ITAE(Integral of time multiplied by the absolute error) performance index. But this design method has some problems due to a trade-off between the fast command following property and the attenuation of disturbances and vibrations. In this paper, 2-DOF PID control method which satisfies the command following property, the reduction of overshoot and the property of disturbance rejection at the same time is proposed. This is a practical speed controller using the desired value filter and the feedforward gain. From several simulations, it's clarified that the proposed 2-DOF PID controller is useful for the two-mass system, in comparison with the conventional PID controller.
