공장 전기 설치를 위한 휴대용 전력품질 모니터링 시스템 (Hand-Held Power Quality Monitoring System for Factory Electrical Installation)

  • 본 연구에서는 휴대용 계측기기를 이용한 공장 수용가 전력품질 분석시스템을 제시한다. 기존의 전력품질 분석시스템은 주로 대규모 공장 수용가에서 상시 연결 되어, 공장 전력 데이터를 연속적으로 취득, 저장한 후 분석까지 수행하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 시스템의 문제점은 데이터 취득을 위해 설치된 미터에서 수집된 Raw 데이터를 이용하여 공장 수용가의 전체적인 전력 품질을 감시 할 수는 있으나, 비선형 부하의 조합으로 인한 전력품질 저하 발생 시에는 그러한 상황에 대한 구체적인 원인을 파악하는 것은 불가능하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공장의 전력품질 저하가 발생되는 경우 의심되는 여러 부하의 전압, 전류를 직접 측정하여 그 원인이 되는 지점을 쉽게 찾아내고 그에 상응하는 조치가 가능하도록, 휴대용 계측기기 기반 공장 수용가 전력품질 분석시스템을 제시함으로써 보다 안정적인 공장 전력 부하 운영이 가능하도록 한다.

차단기 트립코일 이상감지 장치 (A Trip Coil Fault Detection of Circuit Breaker)

  • The circuit breaker of power distribution board is essential part for the protection of electrical disaster from load short, trouble of power system. For the normal operation of circuit breaker, trip coil of the circuit breaker can cut the mechanical contact of circuit breaker from the detection of power system troubles. This paper presents a design and experimental results of trip coil fault detection system for the real time monitoring of the circuit breaker. The designed system is consisted by the trip coil fault detector which is connected to the each circuit breaker and remote monitoring unit. The trip coil fault detector can detect the impedance and operating voltage of the trip coil, and the detected values are compared with the normal state. And the remote monitoring unit can be connected to the 32 channels of trip coil fault detectors by serial communication. From the designed system, the fault and normal states of the trip coil can be remotely monitored in real time. The designed system is verified by the practical circuit breaker of power distribution board. And the results shows the effectiveness of the designed system.

안드로이드 앱과 MCU를 이용한 저가형 원격 전원품질이상 감시 시스템 (Low-Cost Remote Power-Quality-Failure Monitoring System using Android APP and MCU)

  • 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 앱과 TI 320F28335 MCU를 활용한 마이크로그리드용 저가형 원격 전원품질이상 감시 시스템(Remote Power-quality-failure Monitoring System : RPMS)을 제안한다. 설계한 RPMS 테스트 베드는 스마트 노드와 서버 그리고 안드로이드 앱으로 구성된다. 특별히 RPMS 스마트 노드는 기존 감시 시스템과는 달리 C2000 계열 MCU를 이용한 저가형으로 설계되며 전력신호처리를 위한 신호처리 기능과 함께 전원품질 모니터링 정보 전송을 위한 데이터 전송 기능을 포함한다. 전력신호처리 기능은 순시전압강하, 순시전압상승 혹은 순시정전에 대한 웨이브렛 기반 검출 알고리즘과 고조파에 대한 FFT 기반 검출 알고리즘을 구현하며, 이를 이용 신뢰성 있는 실시간 전원품질 감시를 가능하게 한다. 데이터 전송 기능은 전원품질 원격 감시를 위한 저 복잡도의 전용 전송 프로토콜 알고리즘을 구현하며, 품질이상 검출 메시지 전송을 위한 간단한 데이터 포맷 (msg_Diag)을 정의 사용한다. 스마트 노드 측정 결과는 서버는 물론 WiFi (혹은 WAN) 망에 연동되는 안드로이드 폰으로 전송되어 실시간 원격 모니터링을 가능하게 한다. RPMS 테스트 베드의 서버와 노드 간 통신에는 RS-232 혹은 블루투스의 유 무선통신을 이용하며, 노드에 구현된 전원품질이상 검출 알고리즘은 CCS (Code Composer Studio) 3.3 환경하에 C 언어로 구현한다.

Zigbee통신을 이용한 전력변환기기의 DC Bus 커패시터의 온라인 원격 고장진단 시스템 (On-line Remote Diagnosis System for DC Bus Capacitor of Power Converters Using Zigbee Communication)

  • DC bus electrolytic capacitors are used in variety of equipments as smoothing element of the power converters because it has high capacitance for its size and low price. It is responsible for frequent breakdowns of many static converters and inverter drive systems. Therefore it is important to diagnosis monitoring the condition of an electrolytic capacitor in real-time to predict the failure of power converter. In this paper, the on-line remote diagnosis monitoring system for DC BUS electrolytic capacitors of power converter using low-cost type Zigbee communication modules is developed. To estimate the health status of the capacitor, the equivalent series resistor(ESR) of the component has to be determined. The capacitor ESR is estimated by using RMS computation using AC coupling method of DC link ripple voltage/current. The Zigbee communication-based experimental results show that the proposed remote DC capacitor diagnosis monitoring system can be applied to DC/DC converter and UPS successfully.

무선센서를 이용한 지하전력구의 케이블 접속함 표면온도감시시스템 개발 (A Development of Surface Temperature Monitoring System for Underground Tunnel Cable Joint using Wireless Sensor)

  • In the electric power industry, it is important that the supply of energy must be guaranteed. Many power utilities control and supervise the transmission line to avoid power failures. In case of underground tunnel, some troubles are reported in cable joint. To stabilize the power, it is needed to monitor the cable joint. Many researches of cable joint monitoring have been going on by partial discharge measurement and temperature measurement using optical cable. These methods need much cost to install and maintain, so it is only used in critical transmission line. In this research, we use wireless sensor technology, because of its low cost and easy installation. We develop the temperature monitoring system for cable joint. Temperature sensor is installed on the surface of cable joint and sends data to server through router node using wireless network. Generally Ad hoc routing is searched in wireless network. However, in this research, we design the static linear routing mechanism, which is suitable for electric power line monitoring and analyze the life time of the sensor node by measuring the amount of the battery consumption.

  • This paper presents a study on the Internet of Things based low-power wireless sensor networks for remote monitoring of wildlife ecosystem due to climate change. Especially, it is targeting the wild vegetation communities ecological monitoring. First, we performed a pre-test and analysis for selecting the appropriate frequency for the sensor network to collect and deliver information reliably in harsh propagation environment of the forest area, and selected for sensors for monitoring wild vegetation communities on the basis of considerations for selecting the best sensor. In addition, we have presented the platform concept and hierarchical function structures for effectively monitoring, analyzing and predicting of ecosystem changes, to apply the Internet of Things in the ecological monitoring area. Based on this, this paper presents the system architecture and design of the Internet of Things based low-power wireless sensor networks for monitoring the ecosystem of the wild vegetation communities. Finally, we constructed and operated the test-bed applied to real wild trees, using the developed prototype based on the design.

  • This paper presents monitoring system based on IEC61400-25 for 750kW-class DFIG wind power generation system. It is consists of wind turbine PLC, Local and Remote I/O Server, human machine interface, and Web-server. Proposed System has been demonstrated in Daegi-ri, Kangwon-do, which aims to test IEC61400-25 communication capability of monitoring system and evaluate the performance of 750kW-class WTS.

  • This article describes a design and implementation of low power consumption wireless sensor network platform for intelligent motorway monitoring. There are many dangerous situations on motorway, foggy weathers, rapidly changes of temperature, etc. We designed a system for monitoring motorway environment for report dangerous situation. We introduce this system and its lowpower consumption characteristics which important to battery based system.

  • A vibration monitoring system for a small size wind turbine (WIT) is established and operated. The monitoring system consists of monolithic integrated chip accelerometer for vibration monitoring, anemometers for wind data acquisition and auxiliary sensors for atmospheric data. Using the monitoring system, vibration response of a 6kW stand alone WIT generator is investigated. Acceleration data of the WIT tower under various operation condition is acquired in real time using LabVIEW and the data are remotely transferred from the test site to the laboratory in school by internet. Vibration response characteristics of the tower structure are diagnosed in the aspect of stability of W/T. Wind data and electrical power performance are also investigated with the stability problem.

  • PSD is automatically opened and closed when subway train arrive on the station. This system was designed to control electric automatic system. These doors will provide passenger safety, energy saving and a good environment in subway. The monitoring and control systems of PSD are configured so that they can be operated in automatic mode in connection with ATO through the composite control panel in the station control room. The objective of this paper is to obtain high reliability that is essential for monitoring and control systems of PSD. The power supply is based on protection circuit using DC power bridge from two UPS. Also, stable communication system consists of CAN communication line redundancy and RF cross protection algorithm. Monitoring state display results show the validity of the proposed high reliability monitoring and control systems of PSD.
