우수 선수와 준우수 여자 창던지기 선수들의 운동학적 특성 (Analysis of Kinematic Parameters between Skilled and Less Skilled Female Javelin Throwers)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 여자 창던지기 선수를 대상으로 지지발 착지와 릴리즈 국면 시 우수 집단과 준우수 집단 간의 운동학적 차이를 규명하는데 있다. 이를 위해 국내 여자선수 8명을 대상으로 측정 최고기록이 45m이상인 선수를 우수 집단으로, 45m이하를 준우수 집단으로 구분하였다. 창의 투사속도에 있어서 릴리즈 단계의 수직속도는 집단 간에 통계적인 차이를 보이지 않았지만, 수평속도는 집단 간에 유의한 차이(p<05)가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 릴리즈 순간의 투사각에 있어서 우수 집단은 평균 36.3도를 보였고, 준우수 집단은 평균 42.3도를 보이면서 집단 간에 유의한 차이(p<.05)가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 지지다리 무릎각에 있어서는 힘 발 착지(우수>준우수)와 지지발 착지(우수<준우수) 그리고 완전착지(우수<준우수)에서 집단 간에 유의한 차이(p<.05)가 있는 것으로 나타났지만, 릴리즈 순간에 있어서는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 어깨각에 있어서도 힘 발 착지에서만 유의한 차이(p<.05)를 보였고, 릴리즈 단계에 있어서는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다.

새롭게 개발된 겨울용 공기주입형 배플 패딩 재킷과 기존 방한 패딩 재킷들의 보온력 비교 평가 (Comparison and Evaluation of Clothing Insulation of Newly-Developed Air-Filled Baffle Jackets and Down Padded Jackets)

  • The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the thermal insulation of air-filled winter jackets according to the amount of air-filler using a thermal manikin. The insulation of these jackets' was compared to a down padded jacket with an identical design and size. The amounts of air-filler were 100% (26,219 cm3), 70% (18,645 cm3), 50% (13,110 cm3), and 0% (0 cm3). The results showed that a clothing insulation (Icl) of 0%, 50%, 70%, and 100% air, and 100% down jackets was 0.208, 0.243, 0.207, 0.176, and 0.315 clo, respectively. In addition, the down jacket with waisttaped had a clothing insulation of 0.369 clo. However, the highest value of clothing insulation per clothing weight was the 50% air-filled jacket in all conditions. In terms of regional power consumption of the thermal manikin, the down jacket consumed less power for the shoulder and chest than the air-filled jackets. In conclusion, in order to maximize the thermal insulation of air-filled jackets, an optimal amount of air-filler, that is, an amount which does not compromise (break) the layer of inner air between the surface of manikin and the lining of the jacket, should be explored. Further studies on lining materials, end-closed design, and changes in thermal insulation under the conditions of strong wind or heavy snow are recommended.

대기압 플라즈마를 이용한 TiO2 광촉매의 효율향상을 위한 표면 개질 연구 (Surface Modification of TiO2 by Atmospheric Pressure Plasma)

  • $TiO_2$의 표면의 친수성을 증가시키기 위하여 dielectric barrier discharge (DBD)에 의해 발생된 대기압 플라즈마 (atmospheric pressure plasma: APP)를 이용 RF power 50~200 W 범위에서 Ar과 $O_2$ 가스를 사용 대기압 플라즈마로 광촉매 표면을 개질하였다. Ar 가스 단독으로 처리한 시료의 접촉각은 20도에서 10도로 감소하였으며, $O_2$ 가스를 반응성 가스로 하여 처리한 경우에는 접촉각이 20도에서 1도 미만으로 감소하였다. 동일한 RF power에서 $O_2$ 플라즈마 처리 시 더 낮은 접촉각을 확인하였는데, 이는 $TiO_2$ 표면과 산소원자의 결합으로 인하여 표면의 polar force의 증가에 의한 것으로 판단되어 대기압 플라즈마로 처리된 시료의 X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS)의 스펙트럼 분석결과 OH 작용기의 증가로 표면의 친수성이 증가됨을 확인하였다. 대기압 플라즈마로 처리된 시료와 처리하지 않은 시료의 접촉각은 모두 시간이 지남에 따라 증가하지만 플라즈마 처리 된 시료의 접촉각 증가는 플라즈마 처리하지 않은 시료의 접촉각 보다 작은 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 페놀 분해 실험을 통하여 플라즈마 표면처리를 통하여 $TiO_2$ 광촉매의 분해 효율이 크게 향상되는 것을 확인하였다.

Biomechanical Evaluation of the Neck and Shoulder When Using Pillows with Various Inner Materials

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate of various material of pillows by using biomechanical variables such as the cervical stability, head pressure distribution, and muscle activity. Method: Eight subjects participated in the experiment. Three different materials such as polyester sponge, memory foam and the buckwheat shell used for Korean traditional pillow were tested. Electro-goniometer, six channels of electromyography(EMG), ten channels of the head pressure sensors were used to measure the biomechanical responses. Surface electrodes were attached to the right/left semispinals capitis(RSC, LSC), the right/left sternocleidomastoid(RSM, LSM), the right/left upper trapezius(RUT, LUT). The cervical stability was evaluated by the angle deviated from the standing neck position. The head pressure distribution was evaluated by the pressure per unit area recorded on the sensors and the intensity of peak pressure. Electromyography(EMG) data were analyzed by using root mean square(RMS) and mean power frequency(MPF). Results: The buckwheat shell material showed a higher stability in the cervical spine then the other pillows during spine position. In terms of head pressure distribution, the memory form indicated the lowest pressure at supine position, buckwheat shell material indicated the lowest pressure during lying down to side, and polyester cushion recorded the highest pressure at all postures. Conclusion: The buckwheat shell material has a biomechanical advantage to maintain a healthy neck angle and reduce the pressure on the head, which means the buckwheat shell is a potential material for ergonomic pillow design. The pillow with memory form showed second best biomechanical performance in this study. Application: The shape of the buckwheat shell pillow and the characteristics of materials can be used to design the pillow preventing neck pain and cervical disk problems.

슬안풍 환자의 십이경맥 전위측정 연구 (Differences in Electric Potential of Meridian System - Comparing Electric Potentials of Patients with Arthroncus of Knee -)

  • Objectives : Assuming that the characteristic of meridian system has been similar to this of electric potentials in human body and that measurements of electric potential at well(井穴) and sea(合穴) points in branches of the twelve meridians(WSBTM) will be representative of measurements of the twelve meridians, to measure the electric potentials of 13 patients with Arthroncus of Knee(슬안풍<膝眼風>, AK), to find out the characteristic of meridian system in patients with AK. Methods : Electric potentials of well and sea points in the meridians in twenty one patients with the pain in the lion diagnosed as AK were repeatedly measured by physiograph(PowerLab). Measurements of those electric potentials were analyzed by factor analysis. Results : Their electric potentials at the left and right side were factors which are different from each side. In the left side, Factor 1 included Small Intestine, Pericardium, Spleen, Kidney meridian, and Factor 2 included Heart, Tripple Energizer, Bladder, Liver meridian. Factor 3 included Large Intestine, Stomach, Gall bladder meridian, and Factor 4 included Lung meridian. In the right side, Factor 1 included Heart, Pericardium, Tripple Energizer, Spleen, Bladder meridian and Factor 2 included Lung, Liver, Gall bladder meridian. Factor 3 included Small Intestine, Stomach, Kidney meridian and Factor 4 included Large Intestine Meridian. Conclusions : The electric potentials of AK differ from those of normal bodies as well as of bodies with other diseases-shoulder lesions, waist lesions, Lumbago due to Strain and Contusion-. Thus electric potentials of well and sea points might be the representative meridian to show their characteristics.

인체모형의 효과적 활용을 위한 자세 함수의 개발 (Development of a Postural Evaluation Function for Effective Use of an Ergonomic Human Model)

  • The ergonomic human model can be considered as a tool for the evaluation of ergonomic factors in vehicle design process. The proper anthropometric data on driver's postures are needed in order to apply a human model to vehicle design. Although studies on driver's posture have been carried out for the last few decades, there are still some problems for the posture data to be applied directly to the human model due to the lack of fitness because such studies were not carried out under the conditions for the human model application. In the traditional researches, the joint angles were evaluated by the categorized data, which are not appropriate for the human model application because it is so extensive that it can not explain the posture evaluation data in detail. And the human models require whole-body posture evaluation data rather than joint evaluation data. In this study a postural evaluation function was developed not by category data but by the concept of the loss function in quality engineering. The loss was defined as the discomfort in driver's posture and measured by the magnitude estimation technique in the experiment using a seating buck. Four loss functions for the each joint - knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow were developed and a whole-body postural evaluation function was constructed by the regression analysis using these loss functions as independent factors. The developed postural evaluation function shows a good prediction power for the driver's posture discomfort in validation test. It is expected that the driver's postural evaluation function based on the loss function can be used in the human model application to the vehicle design process.

지방흡입술을 이용한 양성 대칭성 지방종의 치험례 (Treatment of Beign Multiple Symmetrical Lipomatosis with Liposuction)

  • Purpose: Benign symmetrical lipomatosis(Madelung's disease) is a disease of uncertain etiology that manifests as massive lipomatous deposits in specific area of the body. It is usually located on the neck, shoulder, proximal regions of the extremities and the abdomen. Madelung's disease is found many in middle-aged, Mediterranean man. Imaging using either computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging is often recommended. Dietary restriction provides no relief of disease. Abstinence with alcohol may delay further progression but does not regression tumor mass. The objective of this study is to prove effectiveness of liposuction for treatment of benign lipomatosis. Methods: We conducted liposuction as a treatment for benign lipomatosis. After general anesthesia, We conducted power assisted liposuction and amount of suctioned volume was about 2500 cc. After surgery, we did compressive dressing and then followed by pressure garment. Results: Six months after surgery, patient was examined for follow up at outpatient department. Recurred lipoma was not observated. Patient was satisfied with result.Conclusion: The only effective therapy for Madelung's disease is surgical removal but recurrence could be occurring. Also multiple surgical scars will be visible. We report a patient with multiple large lipomatosis successfully treated with liposuction.

현대 패션에 나타난 퍼프 슬리브의 패턴 특징에 관한 연구 (The features of pattern in the puff sleeve as observed in modern fashion)

  • This study investigated the annual frequency and clothing type by extracting puff sleeves designs from overseas fashion collections from S/S and F/W 2017 to S/S and F/W 2019. Specifically, it analyzed production characteristics and pattern methods by the type of puff sleeve design, and found the following: In terms of the percentage of puff sleeves by season, S/S 2019 was the highest. Since Newtro, with a 1990s sensitivity, was the mainstream trend during the S/S 2019, power puff sleeves, a signature of the Newtro style, accounted for the greatest portion of this design feature. In terms of the type of clothes with puff sleeves, 'dress' (54.3%) was the highest, followed by 'shirts/blouse' (27.5%), 'jacket/coat' (12.5%), and 'padded coat/jacket' (5.7%). Specifically, puff sleeve patterns were found mostly in the 'dress' category, more than 47% every season, while the figures were more than 23%, 9.3%, and 2.6% in 'shirts/blouse', 'jacket/coat' and 'padded coat/jacket', respectively. In other words, puff sleeve designs were more common in 'dress' or 'shirts/blouse' than in a 'padded coat/jacket'. In general, the shoulder length is reduced to prevent the shoulders from looking broader because of puffs. In contrast, recent puff-sleeve styles differ from those introduced by modern fashion designers in that they have drop shoulders with puffs attached. Furthermore, as constructive and over-exaggerated sleeve patterns appeared, puffs were applied to diverse sleeve styles including mutton leg and Mameluke styles. The analysis results of this study will contribute to the development of the fashion industry through small quantity batch production pursuing unique styles and serve as the basis for further studies on the configuration methods of puff sleeves. This study will be used in various ways, including as educational material on sleeve patterns. Through the analysis of sleeve patterns, this study tries to provide basic data for planning the design of puff sleeves and helping to diversify the ladies' apparel market in the future.

Formative Characteristics of Contemporary Men's and Women's Suits

  • This study provides references that can be applied to future suit design by analyzing the formative characteristics of modern men's and women's suits. Research on related literature and case studies were carried out simultaneously. A criterion for analyzing formative characteristics of suits was drawn up through an examination of past research. A total of 1,410 suit photographs that appeared in the U.S. edition of Vogue Magazine from 1985 to 2008 were analyzed in order to observe the formative characteristics of men's and women's suits. Research results showed that in the 1980s suits pursued a more comfortable and natural fit based on the original properties of simplicity, modernity, and practicality; in addition, women's suits had a tendency to use excessive shoulder pads due to the power-look influence. In the early 1990s exaggerated shoulders and boxy straight silhouettes were in fashion but towards the later years suit designs gradually started to fit the body and established a skinny versus slouch conflict. Women's suits gradually began to show more curvy body lines, and men's suits became more feminine on the surface in terms of color and material. In the 2000s suits have become more feminine and sensual than the 1990s, design focuses of both men's and women's suits moved to the waistline. Skinny and long styles became the ideal silhouette and differences between formative characteristics of the two genders decreased. Fashion elements of men's and women's suits are seen to have changed with a mutual intimate connection under the influence of a similar societal environment.

2011 대구세계육상선수권대회 Gilde Type 포환던지기 한국선수와 결승 1, 3위 선수와의 운동학적 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis from Perspective of Kinesiology between Korean Athletes and Gold and Bronze Medalists in Glide-Type Shot Put at Daegu World Athletic Championships in 2011)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze, in real time, the glide motion and release motion of domestic athletes and gold and bronze medalists employing the glide technique for the men's shot put at the Daegu World Athletic Championship in 2011. In the glide motion, the Korean athletes had a relatively high body center and shot put heights and lager stretching angles for their hips and knees. In the delivery phase, which shifts to the release phase, the Korean athletes showed slower vertical body center and shot put speeds, and they changed the phase, to the release phase by using a small body angle. In the release phase, the Korean athletes showed differences in their projection speeds and vertical body center speeds. The world-famous players showed high angle speeds, which refer to the composition of the rotation force at the moment of release (body, hip, and shoulder line). In the release phase, the Korean athletes did not have fully stretched hip and knee angles, which might have negatively influenced the vertical speed. Because the Korean athletes showed relatively low projection heights and projection angles. it was found that they need to enhance the muscular power of their, throwing arms and lower limbs.
