다목적댐군의 실제 연계운영 효과 평가 (Evaluation of Effects of Real Joint-Operation of Multi-purpose Dams)

  • 본 연구에서는 댐군을 연계운영할 경우 발생하는 효과를 이수측면에서 평가할 수 있는 방법을 개발하여 한강수계 댐군 운영 실적의 평가에 적용하였다. 개발된 평가방법에서는 용수공급과 유황개선 부분에서 연계운영의 효과를 평가하기 위하여 평가지점에서 필요수량에 대한 충족률과 유황안정도를 평가지표로 사용하였다 발전 부분에서 연계운영의 효과는 댐군에 의해 생산된 총발전량을 평가지표로 사용하였다. 실제 운영실적은 공칭공급량을 공급하는 단독운영과 최적화 모형에 의한 평가지표들과 비교하여 평가되었다. 한강수계의 2001년부터 2004년까지의 실제 연계운영 실적을 단독운영과 최적화 모형의 결과와 각 연도별로 비교해 보면, 용수공급 측면에서 필요수량 충족률은 단독운영은 $94.36{\sim}99.68%$, 실제운영은 $97.16{\sim}99.90%$, 최적화 모형은 4개년 모두 100.0 %를 나타냈다. 댐 운영 방법별로 하상계수와 유황계수를 사용하여 유황안정도를 평가해 보면, 유황이 단독운영 보다 실제운영과 최적화 모형이 더 안정적인 결과를 나타냈다. 실제 총발전량을 다른 운영방법의 결과와 비교해 보면, 최적화 모형은 실제 총발전량 보다 $-3.47{\sim}6.54%$ 증가된 결과를 나타냈으며, 단독운영은 실제 총발전량 보다 $12.68{\sim}38.94%$ 감소된 결과를 나타냈다.

  • The Citarum River Basin is the biggest river basin in West Java Province, Indonesia and it plays strategic roles in providing water for irrigation, domestic and industrial uses, and power generation, besides controlling the flood during rainy season. Flowing through seven major cities makes the river flow and water demand are vulnerable to land use change around the river. The present water resources management has involved the regulator, operator, and users in deciding an appropriate water management plan for the entire basin. The plan includes an operation plan for three reservoirs, construction or maintenance of the river channel, and water allocation for all users along the river. Following this plan, a smaller operation group will execute and evaluates the plan based on the actual flow condition. Recently, a deforestation, environment degradation, river sedimentation, a rapid growth of population and industry, also public health become new issues that should be considered in water basin planning. Facing these arising issues, a new development program named ICWRMIP was established to advance the existing management system. This program includes actions to strengthen institutional collaboration, do the restoration and conservation of the river environment, improve water quality and public health, also advance the water allocation system. At present, the water allocation plan is created annually based on a forecasted flow data and water usage prediction report. Sometimes this method causes a difficulty for the operator when the actual flow condition is not the same as the prediction. Improving existing system, a lot of water allocation studies, including a development of the database and water allocation simulation model have been placed to help stakeholders decide the suitable planning schemes. In the future, this study also tries to contribute in advancing water allocation planning by creating an optimization model which ease stakeholders discover a suitable water allocation plan for individual users.

풍력발전기가 설치된 고층빌딩에 대한 전산유체역학적 고찰 (CFD Analysis on a Tall Building Augmented Wind Turbine)

  • Renewable energy or green energy is a hot issue in theses days. Since wind resource can be endlessly supplied by nature, researchers and common people are interested in study how to use that resource at home or company. Especially, many architects have tried to integrate wind power generator for a part of building. So in this paper, three buildings installed wind power turbine are targed to CFD analysis and these buildings are Bahrain trade center, Discovery tower, and Pearl river tower. Bahrain trade center is the first building installed real wind turbine, Discovery tower is constructing at Texas, and Pearl river tower is designed and proved by china researchers. These buildings have very different type of wind power turbine and each turbine has different conditions f3r best power generation. Therefor this paper will focus on characteristic shape of buildings, wind power turbine type, and expected purpose of construction. Moreover, CFD analysis will show wind flow pattern and wind speed while wind is passing through wind turbine of three tall buildings. CFD analysis for three buildings make comparison the wind flow patterns with experimental result.

라오스 남능강 유역 다중 저수지 시스템의 최적 수력발전 운영규정 곡선 개발 (Development of Multi-Reservoir System Operation Rule Curves for Hydropower Maximization in the Nam Ngum River Basin of Lao PDR)

  • 라오스 정부는 증가할 것으로 예상되는 전기 수요량을 충족하기 위해, 남능강 유역 내에 기존 8개소의 발전소 외에도 발전소 댐을 지속적으로 개발하고 있거나 기존 발전소의 발전 설비용량을 증설하고 있다. 이에 따라 라오스 정부는 발전소를 효율적으로 운영하기 위해 기존 저수지 운영규정 곡선(reservoir operation rule curve)을 갱신할 필요성을 제기하였다. 본 연구는 이를 위해 범용적인 동적 계획법(Dynamic Programming:DP) 프로그램인 CSUDP를 활용하여 발전소에서 생산되는 연간 발전량을 극대화하기 위해 현재의 단독 운영체계 외에 연계 운영체계도 검토하였다. 이의 결과로부터 적절한 운영규정 곡선 형태(URC/LRC, MRC)를 추출하였고, 이를 HEC-ResSim 프로그램의 저수지 운영 세트의 운영기초 자료로 입력하여 연간 발전량을 모의하였다. 모의된 연간 발전량과 기존의 운영규정 곡선, 운영실적, 그리고 현장 운영자의 의견 등을 종합하여, 대상 발전소의 연간 발전량을 최대화하는 최적의 저수지 운영규정 곡선(reservoir operation rule curve)을 개발하였다. 이 경우, 저수지를 연계하여 운영하는 체계가 저수지 단독의 운영체계보다 연계에 따른 시너지 효과로 약 2.5 %의 발전량을 더 생산하는 것으로 모의 되었다.

다양한 농도 공급원의 조합을 통한 역전기투석 장치의 성능 평가 (Evaluation of Reverse Electrodialysis System with Various Compositions of Natural Resources)

  • 농도차발전은 전 세계적으로 높은 잠재적 에너지량으로 인하여 최근 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 양이온과 음이온의 선택적 분리를 통하여 전기를 생성하는 역전기투석을 이용하여 다양한 농도 공급원의 조합으로부터 성능을 평가하였다. 역전기투석 장치의 분극곡선은 전류가 증가할 때 전압이 선형적으로 감소하였고, 최대출력밀도는 내부저항과 외부저항이 일치하는 부분에서 얻어졌다. 내부 유로두께가 감소하고 공급유량이 증가할 때 역전기투석 장치에서 생성되는 출력이 증가하는 것을 발견하였고, 공급유체의 펌핑에 의해 발생되는 출력 손실을 고려한 정미출력은 공급유량이 22.5mL/min 에서 최대값을 가졌다. 최종적으로 담수화 브라인, 해수, 강물, 폐수, 기수를 조합하여 역전기투석 장치의 성능을 평가하였고 정삼투 과정에서 발생하는 브라인과 강물을 이용할 때 $1.75W/m^2$ 으로 최대값을 얻었다.

강우상태에 따른 소수력발전입지의 설계변수 특성 분석 (Analysis on Design Parameters of Small Hydropower Sites with Rainfall Conditions)

  • The correlation between hydrologic performance design parameters of small hydro power(SHP) sites and rainfall condition have been analyzed for major river systems. The model, which can predict flow duration characteristic of stream, was developed to estimate the inflow caused from rainfall. And another model to predict hydrologic performance for SHP plants is established. Based on the models developed in this study, the hydrologic performance characteristics for SHP sites have been analyzed. The results show that the hydrologic performance characteristics of SHP sites have some difference between the river systems. Especially, the specific design flowrate and specific output of SHP sites located on North Han river and Nakdong river systems have large difference compared with other river systems. It was found that the hydrologic performance design parameters such as specific design flowrate and specific output were affected by rainfall condition in basin area of SHP sites.

Species diversity, some biological aspects of fishes and water quality of Terie River, Beshilo Basin, Ethiopia

  • The study was conducted in the Terie River between January and April 2022. The objectives of the study were to assess the fish species composition, determine the length-weight relationship and condition factor and assess the water quality of the river using international water quality guideline for aquatic life. Gillnets with different mesh sizes, 4, 6, 8 and 10 cm were used to collect fish specimens in both dry and wet seasons. Immediately after capture, the total length (TL) and total weight (TW) of each individual were measured in centimeters and grams, respectively, and their relationship was determined using the power function. The physicochemical water quality parameters were analyzed using standard procedures and wagtech portable water quality Kits and Secchi Disk apparatus. A total of 667 fish specimens were collected from the Terie River, 410 and 257 in dry and wet seasons respectively. A total of six fish species, Oreochromis niloticus, Labeobarbus intermedius, Labeobarbus nedgia, Labeobarbus beso, Clarias gariepinus, and Ramius loti were recorded. For length-weight relationship and condition factor analysis, more abundant fish species (O. niloticus and L. intermedius) which were found in both seasons were selected. The length and weight relationship of L. intermedius were TW = 0.0073TL3.04 in dry and TW = 0.0337TL2.59 in we season indicated isometric and negative allometric growth respectively. While O. niloticus showed negative allometric growth, TW = 0.096TL2.44 and TW = 0.0335 TL2.76 in dry and wet seasons, respectively. The mean Fulton condition factor (FCF) of L. intermidus were 0.85 ± 0.03 and 0.94 ± 0.25 in dry and wet seasons, respectively. The FCF of O. niloticus was 1.70 ± 0.13 and 1.73 ± 0.12 in dry and wet seasons respectively. Except for ammonia, the physicochemical water quality parameters were with the permissible limit for aquatic life and are suitable for fishes Terie River. The river has commercially important fish specimens that could be used for food security and livelihood improvement. However, there is very limited fishing activity in the river due to less awareness on the value of fishes. Therefore, sustainable fishery development should be done in the river.
