Consideration of Exergy and Exergy Ratio on T-s Chart of Water (물의 T-s 선도 상에서 엑서지 및 엑서지율의 고찰)

  • Exergy is the amount of reversible work obtainable when some matter is brought to a state of thermodynamic equilibrium with ambient. This exergy is availability or useful work induced from carnot cycle, and this can calculate the irreversible loss work which occurs within any thermal or power cycle. The exergy ratio is the value of exergy divided by enthalpy of ambient reference, where the quality of energy or enthalpy in substances is evaluated by exergy ratio. Exergy is very important in optimal design method of thermal system or each component, and the value of exergy at given state is calculated by equation. Here, designer can easily understand and find the value of enthalpy because enthalpy is graphically drawn in chart, however exergy did not. In this paper, exergy and exergy ratio of air were drawn on temperature-entropy chart, and we wish to this chart is a help to design, analysis and education.

  • Several nuclear power plants in Korea have experienced wall thinning damage in the area around the impingement baffle-installed downstream of the high pressure turbine extraction stream line inside number 5A and 5B feedwater heaters. At that point, the extracted steam from the high pressure turbine is two phase fluid at high temperature, high pressure, and high speed. This paper describes operation of experience and numerical analysis composed similar condition with real high pressure feedwater heater. This study applied several impingement baffle plates to feedwater heater same as previous study. In addition, it shows difference of pressure distribution and value between single phase and two phase based on experience and numerical analysis.

  • The present study has been studied on a thermal and flow characteristic of the microchannel waterblock with pass variations in 8 samples. Results of a numerical analysis using the CFX-11 were compared with results of an experiment. Numerical analysis and experiment were conducted under an input power of 150 W, inlet temperature of $35^{\circ}C$ and mass flow rates of $0.7{\sim}2.0\;kg/min$. The numerical results showed reasonably good agreement with the experimental results within about $3{\sim}5%$. Also, the numerical results showed that the sample 2 types with the 2 pass gave better performance than the sample 1 types with the 1 pass from the viewpoints of heat transfer and pressure drop.

  • This paper deals with control design method having anticipation delay which is proposed for the discrete nonlinear engine where system dynamics is not accurate. Due to the induction-to-power delay in internal combustion(IC) engine having abrupt torque loss, underdamping and chattering in engine idle speed becomes a serious problem and it could make drivers uncomfortable. For this reason, Three types of the closed-loop controller are developed for the stable engine idle speed control. The inputs of the controllers are an engine idle speed and air conditioning signal. The output of the controllers is an duty cycle to operate the idle speed control valve(ISCV). The proposed controllers will be useful for improving actual vehicles since these shows good test

  • In this paper, transient voltage response of Polmer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) stack is analyzed and voltage dynamic characteristic is modeled for optimal design of power conditioning system (PCS). According that the load is changed, the corresponding operating voltage of fuel cell stack is also varied with a certain deep and rising time due to the chemical and mechanical responses. This transient behavior can affect on the operation with respect of PI gain in controller, duty ratio, capacitor of capacitor and so on. So in this paper the detailed theoretical analysis of transient voltage dynamics is explained and the methodology of dynamic modeling is introduced. In addition, the validity and feasibility of the proposed dynamic model is verified by experimental results under various load conditions.

  • 계통연계형 태양광발전 시스템을 구성하고 있는 전력변환 장치인 PCS(power conditioning system)은 성능, 효율, 가격, 그리고 보호 및 협조 문제에 따라 여러 가지 형태가 있다. 본 논문에서는 고주파 변압기를 이용한 컨버터에 대하여 제안한다. 이 시스템은 FB(full bridge) 컨버터, 고주파 변압기, 다이오드 정류기, DC link 필터, PWM 인버터 그리고 저역통과필터로 이루어져 있다. 고주파 변압기를 이용한 컨버터의 스위칭 주파수는 10kHz로 Uniploar PWM 방식을 이용하였고, 변압기의 2차단에 다이오드 정류기와 커패시터를 통하여 DC로 정류한다. 고주파 변압기를 이용한 컨버터의 제어는 전압형 전류제어로 MPPT 알고리즘에 의한 입력전류제어를 담당하고, DC link 전압의 제어는 Unipolar PWM 인버터에서 제어를 담당한다. 논문에서는 고주파 변압기를 이용한 FB Conveter의 제어 방법에 대하여 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는, 연료전지 시뮬레이터를 이용한 연료전지용 전력변환기 하드웨어 최적설계기법에 대하여 기술한다. 이를 위해 고분자 전해질 연료전지 모델링을 수행하여 시뮬레이터를 구성하고, 이상적인 직류 전압원과 연료전지 전원 인가에 따른 부스트 컨버터의 동작을 이론적으로 해석하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 이론의 타당성을 검증한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 일간 시간대별 에너지저장장치 (Energy Storage System, ESS) 최적 충 방전량 스케줄링을 이용하여 계통연계형 마이크로그리드 내에 설치되는 ESS의 용량을 산정한다. 대상 마이크로그리드의 과거 부하데이터를 이용하여 절감하고자 하는 양을 정하고, 이를 이용하여 전력변환장치(Power Conditioning System, PCS)의 정격출력량을 산정한다. ESS용량의 기준점을 정하여 이분법 적용구간을 설정하고, 반복연산을 통해 최적 ESS용량을 찾는 과정을 제시한다.

  • 본 논문은 이차전지 에너지저장장치(ESS)을 위한 충 방전용 5kW급 계통 연계형 PCS(Power Conditioning System) 구성 및 실험에 대하여 서술하였다. 양방향 계통 연계형 PCS는 4Phase 인터리브드 DC/DC컨버터, 단상 계통 연계형 인버터로 구성된다. 4Phase 인터리브드 DC/DC컨버터를 통해 배터리 리플전류를 감소시켰으며, 계통에 의해 DC_Link에 발생하는 리플전류를 저감할 수 있는 L-C공진회로를 설계하고 실험하였다.

  • In this paper, dynamics modeling of a PEMFC is performed by electro-chemical equations. The developed PEMFC simulation model is implemented using MATLAB Simulink in order to design an optimal PCS for fuel cell systems. In addition, by use of the developed model as an input source of PCS, the validity of the proposed dynamic characteristic model of the PEMFC is verified by various simulation and experimental results.
