고주파대역에서 기판으로 쓰이는 Glass/Ceramics Composite의 소결거동 (A sintering Behavior of Glass/Ceramic Composite used as substrate in High Frequency Range)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the sintering behavior, crystallization characteristic of glass-ceramic and optimal sintering condition on the glass/ceramic composite for fabricating substrate of LTCC. Glass/ceramic composite was made from alumina powder and glass frit, which was composed of SiO2-TiO2-RO-PbO/(R: Ba, Sr, Ca), and was sintered for 0, 30, 60minutes in the temperature range from 700$^{\circ}C$ to 1000$^{\circ}C$. Properties of frit and glass/ceramic compsoite were analyzed by DTA, XRD, SEM and Network Analyzer and so on. Main sintering mechanism was densification occurred above 730$^{\circ}C$ by viscous flow and crystallization starting about 780$^{\circ}C$ affected sintering also. So viscous flow was affected by sintering temperature, duration time, and creation of crystallization phase etc. From this study, it was possible to fabricate glass/ceramic composite by changing sintering temperature and duration time.

Properties of recycled green building materials applied in lightweight aggregate concrete

  • This study uses recycled green building materials based on a Taiwan-made recycled mineral admixture (including fly ash, slag, glass sand and rubber powder) as replacements for fine aggregates in concrete and tests the properties of the resulting mixtures. Fine aggregate contents of 5% and 10% were replaced by waste LCD glass sand and waste tire rubber powder, respectively. According to ACI concrete-mixture design, the above materials were mixed into lightweight aggregate concrete at a constant water-to-binder ratio (W/B = 0.4). Hardening (mechanical), non-destructive and durability tests were then performed at curing ages of 7, 28, 56 and 91 days and the engineering properties were studied. The results of these experiments showed that, although they vary with the type of recycling green building material added, the slumps of these admixtures meet design requirements. Lightweight aggregate yields better hardened properties than normal-weight concrete, indicating that green building materials can be successfully applied in lightweight aggregate concrete, enabling an increase in the use of green building materials, the improved utilization of waste resources, and environmental protection. In addition to representing an important part of a "sustainable cycle of development", green building materials represent a beneficial reutilization of waste resources.

스크린 프린팅 기법을 이용한 눈부심 방지 기술 개발 (Development of Anti-Glare Coating Technique Using Screen Printing)

  • 본 논문에서는 옥외용 디스플레이의 눈부심 방지 강화유리 생산 방법을 제안하였다. 일반적으로 옥외용 디스플레이를 위한 커버글라스의 주요 사양은 내강도와 눈부심 방지이다. 내강도는 커버글라스를 고온로에서 열처리한 강화유리를 사용하여 그 요구 사양을 만족시키고 눈부심 방지를 위해서는 AG(Anti-Glare)필름을 강화 유리에 접착하여 주로 사용한다. 그러나 필름 형태의 눈부심 방지기술은 PET 필름자체의 내마모성이 3H정도로 취약하여 AG 성능이 지속적으로 유지되기 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 AG 필름이 가지는 내구성의 단점을 보완하고 기존 강화유리 생산 공정을 이용하는 눈부심 방지 기술을 제안하였다. 제안된 눈부심 방지 코팅은 ZBS ($ZnO-B_2O_3-SiO_2$) 분말을 유리 표면에 도포하고 강화공정을 수행하여 내구 강도와 눈부심 방지 성능을 높일 수 있도록 하였다. ZBS 분말을 유리 표면에 도포하기 위해서는 스크린 프린팅 공정을 이용하여 분말이 유리표면에 균일하게 도포되도록 하였다. 스크린 프린팅 시 고려되어야 하는 주요 변수는 분말을 희석하기 위한 오일의 농도와 메쉬 오프닝 사이즈이다. 이 두 변수의 설정에 따라 스크린 프린팅 공정에서 도포되는 ZBS 분말의 양이 조절되므로 이에 대한 상관관계를 실험을 통해 규명하였다. 제안된 제조 방법의 성능을 평가하기 위해 상업용 시장에서 널리 사용되는 haze, 표면 거칠기 및 투과도를 성능 지표로 선정하였고 눈부심 방지를 위해 일반적으로 사용되는 AG필름과 비교하여 그 성능을 검증하였다. 비교 결과 제안된 제조 방법에 의한 강화유리의 투과도는 AG필름의 89.5%보다 다소 감소한 83.1%이지만 막강도는 7H로 두배 이상 향상됨을 확인하였다.

Fumed Silica 분말 소결법을 이용한 석영유리 제조에 소결 온도가 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Sintering Temperature on the Synthesis of Quartz glass by Fumed Silica Sintering)

  • The quartz glasses were prepared by fumed silica powders sintering method at $1210^{\circ}C$, $1230^{\circ}C$, $1250^{\circ}C$ in air and the effect of sintering temperature on their properties were investigated. The X-ray diffraction pattern, the OH concentration, the light transmittance, the apparent porosity and the density were analyzed. The transparent quartz glass were obtained above $1230^{\circ}C$. The OH-group and macroscopic pores were removed above $1230^{\circ}C$ and highest density and light transmittance were obtained at $1250^{\circ}C$.

  • 저온소결기판용 Glass-ceramics를 제조하기 위해 LiO2-MgO-MgF2-SiO2계 조성에 서 B2O3첨가가 결정화 특성 및 물성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 145$0^{\circ}C$에서용융하여 제조 한 모유리의 핵형성 온도와 결정화 온도를 결정하기 위해 TMA와 DTA분석을 실시하였다. 결정화시킨 유리의 결정상과 미세구조를 관찰하기 위하여 XRD와 SEM관찰을 실시하였다. Water swelling을 통해 Glass-ceramics powder를 제조하였으며 제조한 powder의 평균입자 크기는 8.32$\mu$m였다.

  • A mixture which was made from organic gel, glass powder and ceramic powder was masklessly etched for fabrication of barrier rib of PDP(Plasma Display Panel) by focused Ar$^{+}$ laser( λ =514 nm) and Nd:YAG(λ =532, 266 nm) laser irradiation at the atmosphere. The depth of the etched grooves increases with increasing a laser fluence and decreasing a scan speed. Using second harmonic of Nd:YAG laser, the threshold laser fluence was 6.5 mJ/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for the sample of PDP barrier rib softened at 12$0^{\circ}C$. The thickness of 130 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of the sample on the glass was clearly removed without any damage on the glass substrate by fluence of 19.5 J/$\textrm{cm}^2$....

중공 유리 마이크로스피어 혼입 시멘트 복합체의 내열충격성 향상에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Improving Thermal Shock Resistance of Cement Composite Incorporating Hollow Glass Microspheres)

  • The thermal shock resistance of cement composites with hollow glass microspheres (HGM) is investigated. Cement composites containing various concentrations of HGM are prepared and their properties studied. The density, thermal conductivity, and coefficient of thermal expansion of the composites decrease with increasing HGM concentration. A thermal shock test is performed by cycling between -60 and 50℃. After the thermal shock test, the compressive strength of the cement composite without HGM decreases by 28.4%, whereas the compressive strength of the cement composite with 30 wt% HGM decreases by 5.7%. This confirms that the thermal shock resistance of cement is improved by the incorporation of HGM. This effect is attributed to the reduction of the thermal conductivity and coefficient of thermal expansion of the cement composite because of the incorporation of HGM, thereby reducing the occurrence of defects due to external temperature changes.

Fabrication of Ordered or Disordered Macroporous Structures with Various Ceramic Materials from Metal Oxide Nanoparticles or Precursors

  • Two different schemes were adopted to fabricate ordered macroporous structures with face centered cubic lattice of air spheres. Monodisperse polymeric latex suspension, which was synthesized by emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization, was mixed with metal oxide ceramic nanoparticles, followed by evaporation-induced self-assembly of the mixed hetero-colloidal particles. After calcination, inverse opal was generated during burning out the organic nanospheres. Inverse opals made of silica or iron oxide were fabricated according to this procedure. Other approach, which utilizes ceramic precursors instead of nanoparticles was adopted successfully to prepare ordered macroporous structure of titania with skeleton structures as well as lithium niobate inverted structures. Similarly, two different schemes were utilized to obtain disordered macroporous structures with random arrays of macropores. Disordered macroporous structure made of indium tin oxide (ITO) was obtained by fabricating colloidal glass of polystyrene microspheres with low monodispersity and subsequent infiltration of the ITO nanoparticles followed by heat treatment at high temperature for burning out the organic microspheres. Similar random structure of titania was also fabricated by mixing polystyrene building block particles with titania nanoparticles having large particle size followed by the calcinations of the samples.

혼합재 치환율에 따른 경량소재의 물리적 특성 (Physical Properties of Lightweight Materials According to the Replacement Ratios of the Admixture)

  • Lightweight materials were fabricated using glass abrasive sludge, bottom ash and slag powder in this study. This study tried to draw the correlation between physical properties and internal pore of lightweight material. The content of bottom ash and slag powder was from 10% to 50% and firing temperature from $760{^{\circ}C}\;to\;800{^{\circ}C}$ in rotary kiln. The lightweight material containing bottom ash or slag powder had a specific gravity of $0.21{\sim}0.70$ at particle size $2{\sim}4$ mm. Replacement ratio of the admixture increasing with specific gravity increased. Fracture strength of panel made with various lightweight materials was $32{\sim}55\;kgf/cm^2$ and flexural strength was $11{\sim}18\;kgf/cm^2$. Fracture strength increased by 72% and flexural strength was 63% compared with reference. Thermal conductivities of panel was $0.07{\sim}0.11W/m{\cdot}k$. The water absorption ratios of panel with lightweight materials containing bottom ash were $1.8{\sim}2.8$% and slag powder were $2.65{\sim}2.8$%. Excellent results on resistant of water absorption.

치과용 시멘트 용액의 증발이 경화된 시멘트의 성질에 미치는 영향 (INFLUENCE OF THE EVAPORATOIN OF LIQUIDS OF DENTAL CEMENTS ON THE PROPERTIES OF HARDENED CEMENTS)

  • This study was designed to evaluate the influences of evaporation of liquid of dental cements by drying during long term using. Zinc phosphate cement, polycarboxylate cement, and glass ionomer cement were used, and evaluated the properties as follows; consistency, setting time, film thickness, solubility, and compressive strength according to the ADA specification. The specimens of control group were made by mixing the newly opened liquid using the powder-liquid ratio recommended by the manufacturer, and the specimens of ES groups were made by mixing the 10% evaporated liquid by drying with the powder-liquid ratio recommeded by the manufacturer, and the specimens of EM group were made by mixing the 10% evaporated liquid with the powder-liquid ratio modified for standard consistency. The following conclusions were drawn ; 1. The viscosity of mixture of all kinds of cements were increased by the evaporation of liquid, especially the viscosity of glass ionomer cement were influenced significantly. 2. The amount of liquid should be increased to get a standard consistency at the using of evaporated liquid of cement, the most significant increase of liquid amount was required on Ketac-Cem. 3. The setting times were increased at both cases of mixing of evaporated liquid with powder - liquid ratio recommended by manufacturer or modifided through consistency test. 4. At an experimental group of mixing of the evaporated liquid with powder-liquid ratio recommended by manufacturer, solubility was decreased and film thickness was increased. 5. By the result of evaporation of cement liquid, the compressive strength of polycarboxylate cement was increased slightly and it of glass ionomer cement was increased, however, by the increase of amount of liquid to be possible to manipulate the compressive strength were decreased.
