Prediction Equations for Internal Temperature and Yields of Chicken Patties During Deep Fat Frying (닭고기 Patty를 튀길 때 Patty 내부온도와 수율 예측)

  • Copper constantan thermocouples connecting to a recording potentiometer were inserted at the center of the patties and the samples were fried. In general, the internal temperature of the patty samples increased approximately $11.1^{\circ}C$ after the samples were removed from the fryer. The desired internal temperature and maximum internal end-point temperature, at different frying temperatures, can be obtained by adjusting the frying time. The yields of the patties decreased as maximum internal end-point temperature increased or as frying time increased. The internal temperature and maximum internal end-point temperature of the patty samples at three frying temperatures were predicted using polynominal regression of a third-order model with one independent variable, frying time. Polynominal regression of a second-order model with maximum internal end-point temperature as the independent variable was used to predict frying yields at three frying temperatures.

  • In this paper, we study on design of vehicle control system which is based on ${\mu}C/OS-II$, We component a electric motor drive system for simulator because the most of vehicle part use electric motor for actuator. We use the XC2287 microcontroller which is often used vehicle body controller because XC2287 guarantee high confidence and durability in vehicle industry. The electric motor control system derive PWM from general I/O port in XC2287 microcontroller. The signal is supplied at electric motor after amplifying that using driver circuit. The user control duty of PWM signal through controlling potentiometer which is connected to XC2287. through that, the user control speed of electric motor. we synchronize both input process via controlling potentiometer and PWM output process using semaphore. we verify porting of ${\mu}C/OS-II$ via experimentation.

  • Use of higher voltage and higher capacity of power systems and their equipment is leading to an increase in the size of the entire system. In order to reduce the cost of constructing a substation, it is necessary to reduce the size of equipment. So, this paper described optical sensor, which exploited the electric and magnetic potentiometer to sense the measured voltage and current of medium voltage GIS. It can be used both in measurement and in protection relays as its well linearity, rapid response, broad dynamic range, wide frequency band, no magnetic saturation, small in volume, light weight, and saft in insulation.

  • A convenient, tunable loop-gain negative impedance circuit that increases input impedance of a front-end in a bioimpedance measurement has been proposed. Since the proposed circuit comprises wide-band operational amplifiers, selecting operational amplifiers is easy, while an operational amplifier of proper bandwidth should be chosen to use conventional circuit. Also, since loop-gain can be controlled by a feedback resistor connected serially with a feedback capacitor, loop-gain is tunable with a potentiometer. The input impedance of the proposed circuit is two times larger than that of the conventional circuit. Furthermore, closed loop phase response of the proposed circuit is better than that of the conventional circuit or without a negative capacitance circuit. The implemeted, proposed circuit showed stable operation and a zero input capacitance.

  • A method for the design of a disk cam with a remote follower is presented. ADAMS software is utilized for the design process. The whole process is applied for the design of a cam profile to be used in a tappet shedding device of a shuttle loom. First the desired motion of the remote follower, the hearld frame in this case, is determined to improve the characteristic of a certain weaving process. Next, the desired displacement data is input to the ADAMS software and the cam profile is obtained as an output. To test the validity of the proposed method, designed cams were actually manufactured and implemented on a experimental loom. And with the help of potentiometer type displacement transducers, the motion of the remote followers were actually recorded. And the result was sufficient to prove the validity of the presented method.

  • In this paper, an angle diversity wireless optical detector is realized that can receive the optical signal at an angle from 0 to 360 degrees. Eight photodiodes constitute an angle diversity receiver, and in order to reduce the voltage variation with the incident angle, the optical detector is stabilized with a digital potentiometer. In a stabilized state, the voltage variation is kept within 1/10 of maximum voltage. This configuration is very useful in constructing an omni-directional receiver in a wireless optical interconnection.

  • This paper presents a technique for estimating the attitude of a model helicopter at near hovering using a combination of inertial and non-inertial sensors such as gyroscope and potentiometer. To estimate the attitude of helicopter a simplified indirect Kalman filter based on sensor modeling is derived and the characteristics of sensors are studied, which are used in determining the optimal Kalman gain. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm simulation results are presented with real flight data. Our approach avoids a complex dynamic modeling of helicopter and allows for an elegant combination of various sensor data with different measurement frequencies. We also describe the method of implementation of the algorithm in the model helicopter.

  • External linkage type spine motion analysis was developed for relative trunk motion respect to the pelvis. A special programs for calculation of the relative angular motion and for graphical display were also developed. The developed device assured its accuracy and conveniency after application to 15 normal vol- unteers. Compare to the normal subjects, 18 patients treated with fixations and decompression surgery showed relatively large coupling motion. Optimal trajectory of the trunk motion derived from mathematical model in flexion and extension matched well with measurement for normal subjects.

  • This study was intended to develop the system which controls header height of combine automatically by means of sensing the difference between the header and the ground surface. A micro-computer was used for the controller. The sensing unit designed for the study was composed of potentiometer, oscillating link, and gage wheel. An electric-hydraulic circuit was driven by microcomputer to control header height of combine. Performance of the control system was tested by computer simulation, stationary operation of header, and traveling on the simulated ground.

  • Since the 1960's, exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) has been used effectively in spark ignition(SI) engines to control the exhaust emissions of the oxides of nitrogen(NOx). The most important requirements for the application of EGR systems to conventional SI engines are controllable flow rate and good dynamic response. In order to evaluate the characteristics of the electronic EGR valve, a test bench which is consisted of blower, heater, air flow meter and driving unit for electronic EGR valve was set up to simulate engine operating conditions. During the tests, the valve actuation parameters were controlled and the valve lifts and flow rates were measured to infer the characteristics of EGR valve. The results confirmed the capabilities of mathematical analysis and it seems that the correction for the valve lift and potentiometer output is necessary to achieve precise control of EGR rates.
