In this study, estimation methods for actual evapotranspiration have been studied using the concept of potential and actual evapotranspiration. Among the diverse estimation methods, SWAT-K application is chosen for hydrological modeling. For Jeju island we have characterized annual and monthly evapotranspiration using SWAT-K. In the results, simulated potential evapotranspiration reached to the 91% of small pan evaporation. With respect to the temperature lapse rate($-6^{\circ}C/km$) depending on the altitude of Halla mountain, evapotranspiration rate decreased by 7.5% compared to the status when the temperature data from the Jeju weather station were applied to the watershed. As the average of annual rainfall increased, potential evapotranspiration was increased, actual evapotranspiration was, however, decreased.

SmBCO coated conductors were successfully fabricated using EDDC (Evaporation using Drum in Dual Chambers) deposition system that is a bath type co-evaporation system for fabrication of superconducting tape and divided into two chambers named evaporation chamber and reaction chamber. To obtain long and high quality superconducting coated conductor, it is very important to secure the uniformity of all the deposition parameters m the deposition system such as deposition temperature, oxygen partial pressure, compositional ratios and so on. Therefore, we investigated the distribution of the parameters along the axis of the drum m EDDC on which tapes were wound helically. When the temperature on the middle point of deposition zone was $700^{\circ}C$, that on the edge of deposition zone was $675^{\circ}C$. When the thickness of SmBCO layer on the middle point of deposition zone was 1063 nm, that on the edge of deposition zone was 899 nm. The partial pressure of oxygen was 5 mTorr in the reaction chamber while that was $7{\times}10^{-5}$Torr in the evaporation chamber. The composition ratio of Sm:Ba:Cu, that was measured by EDX, was very uniform along the axis of the drum. Under these deposition conditions, critical current distribution along the drum axis was 175 A/cm, 190A/cm, 217.5 A/cm, 182.5 A/cm, 175 A/cm with the interval of 9 cm between samples. It means that the EDDC system has the potential of fabricating (100m, 200A) class coated conductor.
We have fabricated CIGS thin film absorber layers by the evaporation of CIGS powders which were synthesized by solutions with different atomic ratio compositions. We found that the polycrystalline structural properties and optical properties of the deposited CIGS thin films were strongly dependent on the CIGS powder synthesis solution compositions. For three different solution compositions, Cu:In:Ga:Se= 4:3:1:8, 8:3:1:8, 12:3:1,8, the deposited thin film crystalline structures were varied form InSe crystalline structure to CIGS chalcopyrite structures. Our results showed that CIGS powder evaporation is potential for the one step fabrication process for CIGS thin film absorber layer deposition.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the characteristics of the mixtures of choline alphoscerate (alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine, alpha-GPC), in the liquid form, and sucrose ester, which formed a solid composite. The choline alphoscerate solid composites were prepared using different ratios of sucrose ester, and different preparation methods, such as air drying and rotary evaporation, were compared for their preparation efficacy. We examined the characteristics of the solid composites by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), angle of repose, and moisture content. The ideal mixing ratio of choline alphoscerate and sucrose ester was determined as 1:3 and air drying was found to be more suitable for the preparation of solid composites than rotary evaporation. SEM measurements of the degree of dispersion and the size of particles indicated that a high-temperature air method was more suitable. These results demonstrated the successful preparation of choline alphoscerate solid composites that have potential for industrial use.
It is important to extract and assess low-flow recession characteristics for water resources management in the upper reaches of a stream. It is difficult to express the groundwater flow recession characteristics for streamflow synthetically. The linear recession model has been widely used by baseflow recession analysis for reason of simplicity and convenience, but recent studies show that nonlinear recession models fit well, and the relationship between the reservoir storage of shallow unconfined aquifers and the groundwater discharge was to be identified as nonlinear in the literature based on the analysis of numerous streamflow recession curves. The objective of the study is to decode these nonlinear characteristics, including evaporation loss, storage, and recharge of groundwater using streamflow. By analyzing the observed time series of streamflow from the study area, which is the Pyeongchang River basin in Korea, the main components of the underlying groundwater balance, namely, discharge, evaporation loss, storage, and recharge, can be identified and quantified. As a result of the study, depletion of groundwater by evapotranspiration losses through the water uptake of tree roots was found to bias the recession curves and the estimated reservoir parameters. The seasonality of both rainfall and potential evaporation, analysis of the recession curves, stratified according to time of the year, allowed the quantification of evapotranspiration loss as a function of a calendar month and stored groundwater storage.

The fabrication of nanopore membrane by deposition of Al2O3 film using electron-beam evaporation, which is fast, cost-effective, and negligible dependency on substance material, is investigated for potential applications in water purification and sensors. The decreased nanopore diameter owing to increased wall thickness is observed when Al2O3 film is deposited on anodic aluminum oxide membrane at higher deposition rate, although the evaporation process is generally known to induce a directional film deposition leading to the negligible change of pore diameter and wall thickness. This behavior can be attributed to the collision of evaporated Al2O3 particles by the decreased mean free path at higher deposition rate condition, resulting in the accumulation of Al2O3 materials on both the surface and the edge of the wall. The reduction of nanopore diameter by Al2O3 film deposition can be applied to the nanopore membrane fabrication with sub-100 nm pore diameter.
This study performs a daily long-term runoff analysis for 30 years to forecast medium- and long-term probabilistic reservoir inflows on the Soyang River basin. Snowmelt is computed by Anderson's temperature index snowmelt model and potenetial evaporation is estimated by Penman-combination method to produce input data for a rainfall-runoff model. A semi-distributed TOPMODEL which is composed of hydrologic rainfall-runoff process on the headwater-catchment scale based on the original TOPMODEL and a hydraulic flow routing model to route the catchment outflows using by kinematic wave scheme is used in this study It can be observed that the time variations of the computed snowmelt and potential evaporation are well agreed with indirect observed data such as maximum snow depth and small pan evaporation. Model parameters are calibrated with low-flow(1979), medium-flow(1999), and high-flow(1990) rainfall-runoff events. In the model evaluation, relative volumetric error and correlation coefficient between observed and computed flows are computed to 5.64% and 0.91, respectively. Also, the relative volumetric errors decrease to 17% and 4% during March and April with or without the snowmelt model. It is concluded that the semi-distributed TOPMODEL has well performance and the snowmelt effects for the long-term runoff computation are important on the study area.

In the process of a hydrology circulation, evapotranspiration is considered a very important factor to build a plan for the development of water resources and to operate water resources system. This study purposes to estimate daily potential evapotranspiration quantity in consideration of energy factors of the surface by using spatial information such as Landsat TM (ETM+) data, DEM and Landcover. Kyounan-cheon, Han River is selected as a target area, and landcover is divided by vegetation and non-vegetation covered area. Penman-Monteith equation which considers leaf-area index is used to estimate potential evapotranspiration quantity of vegetation covered area. The combination method (energy burget and aerodynamic method) is used in non-vegetation covered area. Among the input data for estimating potential evapotranspiration, NDVI, SR and Albedo is formed by Landsat, TM and ETM+ from 1986 through 2002. ground heat flux is estimated by using NDVI distribution map, LAI distribution map is drawn by using SR distribution map. The result of estimation shows that the average potential evapotranspiration in the whole basin is about 1.8-3.2mm/day per each cell. THe results of estimating potential evapotranspiration quantity by each landcover are as follows; water surface 3.6-4.9mm/day, city 1.4-3.1mm/day, bareland 1.4-3.5mm/day, grassland 1.7-3.7mm/day, forest 1.7-3.0mm/day and farmland 1.8-3.6mm/day. The potential evapotranspiration quantity is underestimated in comparison with observed evaporation data by evaporation pan, but it is considered that it has physical propriety.
Organic materials have potential advantages to be utilized as semiconductors in field effect transistors and light emmiting diodes. Gold, Aluminium, Silver, Chromium and Indium are used by electrodes. Gold is ohmic contact and the others are schottky contact. In this study, Pentacene and various electrode materials were deposited by Organic Molecular Beam Deposition (OMBD) and vacuum evaporation respectively. Those films were photolithographically patterned for measurements. These devices showed no degration after a 15 days of storage in laboratory environment.
