Glint Reconstruction Algorithm Using Homography in Gaze Tracking System (시선 추적 시스템에서의 호모그래피를 이용한 글린트 복원 알고리즘)

  • Remote gaze tracking system calculates the gaze from captured images that reflect infra-red LEDs in cornea. Glint is the point that reflect infra-red LEDs to cornea. Recently, remote gaze tracking system uses a number of IR-LEDs to make the system less prone to head movement and eliminate calibration procedure. However, in some cases, some of glints are unable to spot. In this case, it is impossible to calculate gaze. This study examines patterns of glints that are difficult to detect in remote gaze tracking system. Afterward, we propose an algorithm to reconstruct positions of missing glints that are difficult to detect using other detected glints. Based on this algorithm, we increased the number of valid image frames in gaze tracking experiments, and reduce errors of gaze tracking results by correcting glint's distortion in the reconstruction phase.

Implementation of AUSV System for Sonar Image Acquisition (소나 영상 획득을 위한 무인자율항법 시스템 구현)

  • This paper describes the implementation of AUSV system for sonar image acquisition to survey the seabed. The system is controlled by Feed Forward PID algorithm on the vessel for bearing of the thrusters composed of motion sensor and DGPS which calculates the differences between the current location and the destination location for longitude and latitude based on GPS coordinates. As experimental results, the bearing control performance is good that the error distance from the destination positions are under 6m in total survey track of 1km. And the sonar image deviation of a object is under 12 pixels from the manned survey method, which the comparison with the total image quality is almost the same as the manned survey one. Thus the proposed AUSV system is a new method of system can be utilized at the limited survey areas as the surveyor should not be able to approach on sea surface by onboard vessel.

  • Through the convergence of the games industry value creation is possible regions. It typically appears as a Serious Game. Education, medical, defense such as industry and convergence are creating greater added value. The government also identified the importance of the games industry, and the budget set, game development, support business, human resources development policy, along with business and industry to industry to solve the social problems of regulatory policy and operations are being announced. However, by accessing it from a different perspective on the continued growth of the industry's problems is thought to act as. Thus, policymakers in government positions and in fact industry to conduct business in the private sector to reflect both the position of the design of a new development approach is needed. In this study examines the current game industry development policies, as well as activities at corporate level and industry level, the activities of national at the same time that the service should consider using a model with an integrated perspective of the games industry development policy is proposed.

A Dual-layer Energy Efficient Distributed Clustering Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크를 위한 에너지 효율적인 이중 레이어 분산 클러스터링 기법)

  • Wireless sensor networks have recently emerged as a platform for several applications. By deploying wireless sensor nodes and constructing a sensor network, we can remotely obtain information about the behavior, conditions, and positions of objects in a region. Since sensor nodes operate on batteries, energy-efficient mechanisms for gathering sensor data are indispensable to prolong the lifetime of a sensor network as long as possible. In this paper, we propose a novel clustering algorithm that distributes the energy consumption of a cluster head. First, we analyze the energy consumption if cluster heads and divide each cluster into a collection layer and a transmission layer according to their roles. Then, we elect a cluster head for each layer to distribute the energy consumption of single cluster head. In order to show the superiority of our clustering algorithm, we compare it with the existing clustering algorithm in terms of the lifetime of the sensor network. As a result, our experimental results show that the proposed clustering algorithm achieves about $10%{\sim}40%$ performance improvements over the existing clustering algorithms.

A Circle Labeling Scheme without Re-labeling for Dynamically Updatable XML Data (동적으로 갱신가능한 XML 데이터에서 레이블 재작성하지 않는 원형 레이블링 방법)

  • XML has become the new standard for storing, exchanging, and publishing of data over both the internet and the ubiquitous data stream environment. As demand for efficiency in handling XML document grows, labeling scheme has become an important topic in data storage. Recently proposed labeling schemes reflect the dynamic XML environment, which itself provides motivation for the discovery of an efficient labeling scheme. However, previous proposed labeling schemes have several problems: 1) An insertion of a new node into the XML document triggers re-labeling of pre-existing nodes. 2) They need larger memory space to store total label. etc. In this paper, we introduce a new labeling scheme called a Circle Labeling Scheme. In CLS, XML documents are represented in a circular form, and efficient storage of labels is supported by the use of concepts Rotation Number and Parent Circle/Child Circle. The concept of Radius is applied to support inclusion of new nodes at arbitrary positions in the tree. This eliminates the need for re-labeling existing nodes and the need to increase label length, and mitigates conflict with existing labels. A detailed experimental study demonstrates efficiency of CLS.

Evaluation of electrical impedance ratio measurements in accuracy of electronic apex locators

  • Objectives: The aim of this paper was evaluating the ratios of electrical impedance measurements reported in previous studies through a correlation analysis in order to explicit it as the contributing factor to the accuracy of electronic apex locator (EAL). Materials and Methods: The literature regarding electrical property measurements of EALs was screened using Medline and Embase. All data acquired were plotted to identify correlations between impedance and log-scaled frequency. The accuracy of the impedance ratio method used to detect the apical constriction (APC) in most EALs was evaluated using linear ramp function fitting. Changes of impedance ratios for various frequencies were evaluated for a variety of file positions. Results: Among the ten papers selected in the search process, the first-order equations between log-scaled frequency and impedance were in the negative direction. When the model for the ratios was assumed to be a linear ramp function, the ratio values decreased if the file went deeper and the average ratio values of the left and right horizontal zones were significantly different in 8 out of 9 studies. The APC was located within the interval of linear relation between the left and right horizontal zones of the linear ramp model. Conclusions: Using the ratio method, the APC was located within a linear interval. Therefore, using the impedance ratio between electrical impedance measurements at different frequencies was a robust method for detection of the APC.

Content and Trajectory Retrievals of Moving Objects in Video Databases (비디오 데이타베이스에서 이동 객체의 내용 및 궤적 검색)

  • Recently, together with increasing use of multimedia data, many works on moving objects in video databases have been made. Moving objects change visual features and spatial positions with the lapse of time in video data. And they arc related to the other objects or events. In this paper, we propose a new modeling and various query types of moving objects for content based retrieval in video databases. The proposed modeling represents visual features, moving trajectories and semantic contents related to objects. Therefore, it allows to process various query types. And we propose various query operators for the retrieval types. To show the superiority of our modoling, we implement the retrieval systems and compare it with the existing methods in terms of the supporting query types. The proposed method supports various query types and improves the efficiency of the query processing over the existing methods.

  • The purpose of this study unit a Quadrupedal position of limbs due to changes in the thickness of the trunk muscles to find out, by comparing the difference in muscle activity fours spinal stabilization devices do you need to choose an effective stance is to provide the data. The subjects C # 29 University students healthy adults were recruited. The Rectus abdominis muscle and the transversus abdominis and internal oblique abdominal muscle, external oblique abdominal muscle should be measured. The results of this study Lt. IO, EO, TrA, Rt. TrA, Muscle showed significant differences among the positions. The study reveals that the exercises in Quadrupedal position can activate trunk muscles and the degrees of muscle activities can vary according to the angle.

Asynchronous Ranging Method using Estimated Frequency Differences in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서망에서의 주파수 차이 추정 비동기 Ranging 방식)

  • The clock frequency difference of sensor nodes is one of main parameters in TOF estimation and affect to degrade ranging algorithms to estimate positions of mobile nodes in wireless sensor networks. The specification of IEEE802.15.4a describes asynchronous TWR and SDS-TWR insensitive to frequency difference without any additional network synchronization. But the TWR and SDS-TWR can not eliminate sufficiently the effect of frequency difference of node pair, packet processing delay and its difference. Especially use of low cost oscillator with wide range offset, sensor node with different hardware and software can make the positioning errors worse. We propose an estimation method of frequency differences, and apply the measured frequency differences to TWR and SDS-TWR. We evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm with simulation, and make certain that the proposed method enhances the performance of existing algorithms with positioning errors less than 25 cm.

An Improved Split Algorithm for Indexing of Moving Object Trajectories (이동 객체 궤적의 색인을 위한 개선된 분할 알고리즘)

  • Recently, use of various position base servicesthat collect position information for moving object and utilize in real life is increasing by the development of wireless network technology. Accordingly, new index structures are required to efficiently retrieve the consecutive positions of moving objects. This paper addresses an improved trajectory split algorithm for the purpose of efficiently supporting spatio-temporal range queries using index structures that use Minimum Bounding Rectangles(MBR) as trajectory approximations. We consider volume of Extended Minimum Bounding Rectangles (EMBR) to be determined by average size of range queries. Also, Use a priority queue to speed up our process. This algorithm gives in general sub-optimal solutions with respect to search space. Our improved trajectory split algorithm is going to derive minimizing volume of EMBRs better than previously proposed split algorithm.
