Realization of Velocity of BLDC Motor Using Linear Type Hall-effect Sensor and Enhanced Differentiator (선형홀센서와 고성능 미분기를 이용한 BLDC모터의 속도신호 구현)

  • BLDC motor is widely used as a servo motor due to high efficiency, high power density, low inertia, and low maintenance. However, BLDC motor generally needs position and velocity sensors to control actuation system. Usually, analog tachometers and encoders have been used for velocity feedback sensors. However, using these types of sensors have problems such as the cost, space, and malfunction. So, This paper is to propose a new velocity measurement method using linear hall-effect and enhanced differentiator for BLDC motor. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed method, several simulations and experiments are performed. It is shown that the proposed velocity measurement method can satisfy the requirements without using of velocity sensor.

  • The hypertext document is used for information exchange in the Web environments. Its structure is considered as having graph structures with links, which makes nonlinear processing of documents possible. This paper proposes an indexing method for information retrieval system using XML links. We define new attributes that control links of a remote document and assign an unique identifier for the attribute of each link. Each identifier has a different weight according to its occurrence position that is local or remote documents. We index a word not only from a local document but a remote document based on the given weight. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms conventional retrieval systems that ignore links.

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차가 전기모터로 주행하다가 배터리가 방전되면 엔진으로 구동할 수 있도록 연결해 주는 클러치 시스템에 적용된 BLDC 모터의 위치제어기를 제안한다. 클러치 시스템에 사용되는 BLDC 모터의 구동은 Hall 센서로부터 검출된 회전자 위치정보를 이용하여 위치제어를 수행하였다. PHEV 시스템에서는 클러치를 엔진과 전기모터로 연결해야 하므로 정확하고 빠른 위치제어를 위해 위치제어기를 적용하였고, 클러치 연결 시 진동을 최소화하기 위해 속도제어기를 사용하여 엔진의 속도와 클러치 모터의 속도를 동기가 되도록 하였다. 또한 위치제어를 하기 전에 클러치의 초기위치를 맞춰 줘야 하므로 모터의 위치정보를 이용하여 속도제어기와 전류제어기로 모터를 일정한 위치로 이동시켰다. BLDC 모터의 전압제어를 위한 PWM 방법은 기존의 바이폴라 PWM 보다 전류리플이 적은 유니폴라 효과를 내는 새로운 바이폴라 PWM 방법을 사용하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 검증하였다.

  • In measuring step for reverse engineering of sculptured surfaces, computer vision system is used to simplify the complicated surface by boundary edge detection method that minimizes the measuring error. The measured data by Coordinate measuring machine is clouded data points of surfaces which is segmented surface using image process. In this research, the measured data is approximated as NURBS surfaces by new suggested algorithm. The position and number of control points, selection of parametric values and compensation of weight factors are proposed. Finally, surface model is simulated and improved resulting performance is obtained.

  • In most cases, a crane is controlled by an open-loop technique. That is, the controller tries to follow a given velocity profile that is designed to minimize the swing of rope and the transfer time. But such a system is not capable of handling various disturbances such as changing rope length and wind effect. In order to overcome this kind of difficulty, this research focuses on the design of a feedback controller using intelligent techniques such as fuzzy logic and neural network. These intelligent techniques has been emplyoyed in order to represent human knowledge and to imitate human learning. The deveped controllers have been evaluated via computer simulation

  • This paper deals with characteristic analysis of axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) machines with axially magnetized PM rotor using quasi-3-D analysis modeling. On the basis of magnetic vector potential and a two-dimensional (2-D) polar-coordinate system, the magnetic field solutions due to various PM rotors are obtained. In particular, 3-D problem, that is, the reduction of magnetic fields near outer and inner radius of the PM is solved by introducing a special function for radial position. And then, the analytical solutions for back-emf and torque are also derived from magnetic field solutions. The predictions are shown in good agreement with those obtained from 3-D finite element analyses (FEA). Finally, it can be judged that analytical solutions for electromagnetic quantities presented in this paper are very useful for the AFPM machines in terms of following items : initial design, sensitivity analysis with design parameters, and estimation of control parameters.

  • The output of solar array is changed non-linearly by variation of insolation and temperature. Hence, as varying insolation and temperature, Maximum Power Point Tracking(WPPT) is necessary to increase generation efficiency of solar array. This paper presented WPPT algorithm using position control of output voltage and current of solar array and implemented hardware MPP tracker which is appropriate and inexpensive for low power system$(tens\~hundreds\;watt)$. Finally, those were verified through simulation.

  • In noninvasive temperature measurement within body, this paper is presented temperature measurement method in security and with effect from Applicator by electromagnetic, and it is analyzed heat generation quantity or temperature rise distribution by computer simulation within body. In this paper, two-dimensional model is considered and temperature distribution produced by RF capacitive heating system is analyzed by using Finit Element Method (F.E.M). A passibility of temperature distribution control is examined based on the position and size of Applicator.

  • The cleaning process to remove small particles, ions, and other polluted sources is one of the major parts in the recent semiconductor industry because it can cause fatal errors on the quality of the final products. According to the other reports, the major factors of bath's fluid motion are the cleaning method, nozzle, the geometry (of bath, guide and wafer), and the position (of guide and wafer). So to enhance cleaning efficiency in the bath, these factors must be controlled. The purpose of this study is to analyze and visualize fluid motion in the cleaning bath as basic data for designing the nozzle system and finding the process control parameters. For that, we used the general CFD code FLUENT.
