Stance is defined as any state in which the total mass of the body is supported by the feet. In order to maintain stance, the sum of gravito-inertial forces acting on the body must be registered by equal and opposite forces at the region of contact between the organism and the support surface. Balance is controlled by applying forces to the surface of support so as to maintain the body's center of mass vertically above the feet. for a muIti-segment organism, there can be a variety of ways in which balance can be controlled, since movements of different body segments can have similar effects on the control of balance. In general, the organism tends to have a body configuration that is aligned with gravito-inertial force when there are no external forces acting on it. If any segments of the body are not aligned with gravito-inertial force vector, a torque on that segment would tend to move the body's center of mass. The maintenance of postural stability is accomplished in humans by a complex neural control system. This requires organizing integrating and acting upon visual, vestibular, and somatosensory input, providing orientation information to the postural control system. The information necessary to control and coordinate movement is provided by the visual sense of eye position with respect to the surrounding surface layout, the vestibular sense of head orientation in the gravito-inertial space, and the somatic sense of body segment position relative to one another and to the support surface. In this study, perception and action capability was examined from various points of view. The underlying assumption of the study was that the change of postural configuration could be effected by organism, environment and task goal.
The purpose of this study is to assess the cause and level of conflict arising within and between departments among administration office workers who work in a recently established tertiary hospitals of a major cooperation or related non-profit cooperation: The study also aimed to find methods for resolution of such conflicts by comparing with other existing university hospitals. The subject population included 299 business administration office workers randomly selected from two cooperate related tertiary hospitals of less than 3 years in its existence and two university hospitals over 700 beds in Seoul and Kyong In area. Data were collected through a survey questionnaire. To define related factors for the level of conflict among departments in each hospitals multivariate regression analysis was conducted. Independent factors were characteristics of subjects, conflicting factors within and between the departments. The results are as follows: 1. Those in the 30-39 rears of age group demonstrated significantly higher level of conflict between departments. Those working in the new hospitals, who were older and had long-term tenure, and those with short-term job experience at current working hospital had higher level of conflict between the departments with statistical significance. 2. Concerning the involvement of conflicting factors and the level of conflict in the administration there was statistically significant positive correlation between reliability and job-related intra- and interdepartmental level of conflict in existing hospitals. There was a significant positive correlation between intradepartmental conflicting factors of mutual dependence, difference in goal/orientation and intra- and interdepartmental level of conflict. 3. In multivariate regression analysis, women more than men, and those who had worked for many years in hospitals had statistically significant influence on factors involved in interdepartmental level of conflict, explaining 51.0% of the model. 4. In existing hospitals, gender was a significant factor with women showing a higher level of interdepartmental conflict compared to men. Among the interdepartmental factors, mutual dependence had statistically significant influence and showed a positive relationship with interdepartmental level of conflict. In the new hospitals, job position was a significant factor which showed that those in high position such as section chief or above, compared to those in managerial or general position had higher level of conflict. Among the interdepartmental characteristics, factors of mutual dependence and goal/orientation had statistically significant influence and showed a positive relationship with interdepartmental level of conflict. In the new hospital setting efforts to reduce conflict in areas among workers with high position, old age, and long tenure and those in Purchasing, Material and Computer Department should be made and prudent management and planning for improved manpower and increased budget or efficient allocation and clear definition of job description are necessary to adequately assess and make improved efforts for rapid stabilization of the premature hospital system from its inception, In the existing hospitals a lack of conflict within and between departments may give rise to stagnation or inefficiency of the organization. Future study are needed with respect to the relationship between interdepartmental level of conflict and the effectiveness of the hospital organization for improved resolution of conflict in the organization and hospital management.

This paper presents a new volumetric approach to 3D object recognition by using PBSM (part-based superquadric model). The assembly part object can be constructed with the set of volumetric primitives and the relationships between them. We describe volumetric characteristics of the model object with superquadric parameters. In addition, our model base has the relationships between volumetric primitives as well as the surface information : the surface type, the junction type between neighboring surfaces. These surface properties and relationships between parts are effectively used in recognition process. Our integrated method is robust to recognition of the identity, position, and orientation of randomly oriented assembly parts. Furthermore, we can reduce the effects of self-occlusion and non-linear shape changes according to viewpoint. In this paper, we show that our integrated method is robust to recognition of the identity, position, and orientation of randomly oriented assembly parts through experimental results.

In photogrammetry, single photo resection is a method of determining exterior orientation parameters corresponding to a position and an attitude of a camera at the time of taking a photograph using known interior orientation parameters, ground coordinates, and image coordinates. In this study, we proposed a single photo resection algorithm that determines the exterior orientation parameters of the camera using cosine law and linear equation-based three-dimensional coordinate transformation. The proposed algorithm first calculated the scale between the ground coordinates and the corresponding normalized coordinates using the cosine law. Then, the exterior orientation parameters were determined by applying linear equation-based three-dimensional coordinate transformation using normalized coordinates and ground coordinates considering the calculated scale. The proposed algorithm was not sensitive to the initial values by using the method of dividing the longest distance among the combinations of the ground coordinates and dividing each ground coordinates, although the partial derivative was required for the nonlinear equation. In addition, since the exterior orientation parameters can be determined by using three points, there was a stable advantage in the geometrical arrangement of the control points.
This study is focused on the elucidation of efficient and correct marking methods by comparing and analyzing marker efficiency depending on the marking job condition such as interval of checking-pattern, width of materials, and marker orientation using man's shirts. To compare the marking efficiency of shirts, plain and check-patterned materials with the intervals of $1.5{\times}1.5cm$, $3{\times}3cm$, and $5{\times}5cm$ were selected. First, in the comparison of marking efficiency depending on materials width, the highest efficiency was obtained with nap-either-way position of 150cm, plain materials and lowest efficiency with nap-one-way position of 150cm, $5{\times}5cm$ check-pattern materials. Regardless of the direction of marker position, the marking efficiency of 150cm width was higher than 110cm width in the plain, $1.5{\times}1.5cm$ and $3{\times}3cm$ check-pattern interval, but the marking efficiency of 110cm width was higher than 150cm width in the $1.5{\times}1.5cm$ check-pattern interval. Second, in the comparison of marking efficiency depending on the direction of marker position, regardless of check-pattern interval and material width, the highest efficiency was obtained with nap-either-way position. And nap-up-and-down and nap-one-way follows next. Third, in the comparison of marking efficiency depending on check-pattern interval, the efficiency of plain materials was higher than those of check-patterned materials. And increasing the intervals decreased marking efficiency and vice versa. So the lowest efficiency was obtained with $5{\times}5cm$ check patterned materials.

Marking efficiency of Slacks was less influenced than marking efficiency of Jacket by check-pattern interval. Second, in the comparison of marking efficiency depending on the direction of marker position, regardless of check-pattern interval and number of maker pieces, the efficiency of nap-up-and-down position was higher than those of nap-one-way position. Third, the marking efficiency of single-item was more effective than one of set-item in all working condition except nap-one-way position in checkless materials.
The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the orientation of the head position across different categories affect reaction time and accuracy of object recognition. Fifty four right handed undergraduate students were participated in the experiment. Participants performed the word-picture matching tasks, which were different in terms of head direction of object (i.e., Left-headed or Right-headed) and object category (i.e., natural : animal or artificial : tool). Participants were asked to decide whether each picture matched the word which was followed by the picture. For accuracy, no statistically significant difference was found for both animal and tool pictures due to the ceiling effect. Interaction effect of category and orientation were statistically significant, whereas only the main effect of category was significant. In the animal condition, faster reaction times were observed for left to right than right to left presentation, while no statistical significant difference was found in the tool condition. The orientation of the object's canonical representation was different across different categories. The faster RT for the animal condition implies that the canonical representation for animal is left-headed. This could be due to the orientation of the face.
Recently augmented reality technology has been researched to view the virtual shape of buildings before construction or cultural heritages under recovery. Those researches used special devices or markers that are not applicable in long distanced outdoor environment. Also the server had to compute a lot of transformations for the location changes of virtual objects. This paper proposed a mobile augmented reality system that uses GPS and accelerometer sensors in order to compute the virtual object's locations without using markers. The server determines the position and orientation by comparing the GPS data obtained from the client with the predefined 3D object informations in the server. If the server sends the virtual object informations such as the position, orientation and matching information, then the client matches the virtual object on the screen of mobile camera phone. In addition, the client computes the transformations of location change detected by the accelerometer derived from the user's movement without additional connection to the server.
This study : An analysis of position accuracy of topography according to using LiDAR data, aerial photo and digital map for a study area was conducted. The study area was selected in Hadan area, Sahagu, Busan aerial LiDAR data and aerial photo in the scales of 1:20,000, which are high tech surveying ways were used. The final digital orthoimage according to orientation process for each image and image resampling was producted. Using it, a checkpoint was chosen, information about the checkpoints selected was extracted, a coordinate of Horizontal Position through the screen digitizing was also extracted. Both the coordinates of LiDAR data and aerial photo using digital map in the scales of 1:20,000 announced to the public from NGII(National Geographic Information Institute) were gradually compared and analyzed. Based on the digital map, as a result of being both compared and analyzed, it has shown to us that horizontal position of aerial photo is more accurate than that of aerial LiDAR surveying (RMSE-building x:24cm, y:26cm).
This study aimed to analyze the minutes of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee, one of the standing committees of the Korean National Assembly, by applying the WORDFISH algorithm of automated text analysis to estimate the pattern of changes in the ideological orientation of the members of Korea's political elite. The results of the analysis showed that the Legislation and Judiciary Committee generally undergoes changes in ideological orientation around the time of a major administrative change, especially during the period preceding a change up to the time of its implementation. Compared with the United States, where changes in the ideological orientation of the political elite occur simultaneously based on parties, changes in that of the political elite at the Korean National Assembly tend to occur in response to a certain transitional point in time or a change in the ruling government. What is especially noteworthy in terms of the ideological orientation reflected in the minutes of the Legislative Judiciary Committee is that the microscopic effect tends to disappear when the macroscopic effect occurs and, conversely, that the microscopic effect emerges once the macroscopic effect has disappeared. In other words, changes in the ideological orientation of the political elite appear to indicate the effect of a particular legislator's individual characteristics when no effect is observed during a given term or year of the National Assembly, whereas they revealed the effect of a given time itself when no effects related with the individual characteristics of a legislator are discerned.
