  • In this paper, we designed the embedded system used for wireless LAN communication. Embedded system kernel is made from general linux kernel 2.4.18 by applying the ARM patch (2.4.18-rmk7) and the SA1100 patch(2.4.18-rmk7), then porting board level suitable to target system. The SA-1110 PCMCIA interface provides controls for one PCMCIA card slot with a PSKTSEL pin for support of a second slot. The embedded system requires external logic to complete the PCMCIA socket interface. For dual-voltage support, level shifting buffers are required for all SA-1110 input signals. Hot insertion capability requires that each socket be electrically isolated from each other, and from the remainder of the memory system. embedded system is for socket services approaching PCMCIA socket, detecting number of sockets, sensing insertion and removal, and applying power. It also provides interface with Card services. Embedded system supports Host driver for lucent chips that is installed orinoco driver cross compiled. The meaning can say that is doing wireless LAN communication through wireless LAN in imbedded system.

  • In this paper, web based monitoring systems are implemented for multi-axis force control systems of an intelligence robot. A web based monitoring system is implemented by porting Linux at embeded systems which include Xscale processors. A divice driver is developed to receive data from multy-axis force sensors in Linux operation systems. To control this device driver, a soket program for web browser is also developped.

  • Computing environments of Embedded Systems are different from those of desktop computers so that they have resource constraints such as CPU processing, memory capacity, power, and etc.. Thus, when a desktop S/W is ported into embedded systems, optimization should be seriously considered. In this paper, we investigate several S/W optimization techniques to be considered for porting H.263 encoder into a high performance DSP, TMS320C6711. Through experiments, it is found that optimization techniques employed can make a big performance improvement.

  • 인더스트리 4.0 시대의 도래로 첨단의 자동화 시스템을 구축하기 위해서는 각 장비들의 정보를 수집, 분석, 가공, 저장 등의 작업을 수행하여야 하며 각 장비들은 시분할 방식으로 모든 정보를 균일하게 수집, 분석, 저장하여 균등하게 처리하여 시스템의 자원을 잘 활용하여야 한다. 시분할 시스템은 인더스트리 4.0의 시대의 핵심 기술이라 할 수 있다 본 연구에서 8bit 버스를 가진 MCU Atmega128A에 RTOS를 포팅 하여 시분할 시스템이 동작 되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 최근 IEEE에서 WLAN을 표준으로 하는 802.11g가 확정되면서 이를 지원하는 AP가 출시되었다. AP에서 사용되는 OS는 POSIX를 기반으로 된 Linux 같은 OS를 통하여 구현되고 있 다. 이 논문에서는 가장 범용으로 사용되고 있는 Rad Hat을 기반으로 한 embeded linux를 만들어본다. 이와 함께 embeded linux를 가지고서 Network 기능을 추가하고, AP 하드웨어 드라이버 및 AP 모듈을 올려서 구연한다. 여기에 추가적으로 DHCP나 Web UI기능 등의 부가 기능을 추가하여 AP를 구현하는데 목적이 있다.

  • 최근의 스마트 폰의 운영체제인 안드로이드를 넷북, 자동차용 장비, 산업용 장비에도 적용하는 사례가 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 x86 계열의 ATOM CPU를 탑재한 산업용 컴퓨터 시스템에 안드로이드 운영체제를 탑재한 이후에 wifi 디바이스를 포팅하는 과정을 설명한다. 이를 위하여 안드로이드 운영 계층에서 디바이스가 동작하는 과정을 분석하고, 이에 따라 wifi 디바이스를 설치하는 과정을 설명한다. 이 과정은 앞으로 안드로이드 플랫폼이 지원하지 않는 다른 장비를 접속하고자 할 때에도 유용하게 활용할 수 있다.

  • Current VOD embodiment way is embodied using PC base. However, achieved research that embody this by Embedded System that PC base is not. OS of this system used WindowsCE.net and x86core used having built-ined SC1200(National company's Geode's familys) by CPU and memory used 128MByte SDRAM. Used Mpeg Decoder for processing of video data, and used Enthernet Controller for Internet. Actuality implementation manufactured necessary BIOS, WinodwsCE.NET Porting, DeviceDriver in system development and necessary simple Application in action confirmation, and Video Player used Window Media Player had included to WindowsCE.net. Therefore, treatise that see to supplement shortcomings of VOD service been embodying in current PC in Embedded System's form embody that there is sense do can.

  • In this paper, web based monitoring systems are implemented for multi-axis force control systems of an intelligence robot. A brief review about the principle of multi-axis force sensors and a method that can reduce the effect of noise signal to sensor performance is presented. A web based monitoring system is implemented by porting Linux at embedded systems which include Xscale processors. A device driver is developed to receive data from multi-axis force sensors in Linux operation systems. To control this device driver, a socket program for web browser is also developed. The experiments are performed to investigate the effectiveness of proposed methods. The experimental results show that the values of force sensors can be monitored by remote PCs.

  • This paper describes the implementation of a 4 channel embedded DVR system. It receives analog video from CCD cameras and converts to 640${\times}$480 CCIR-656 digital video by 30 frames/sec. These digital images are compressed to the wevelet transformed image using hardware codec which is capable of 350:1 real-time compression and decompression. The DVR is working on linux and it implemented on an embedded system which is based on StrongARM processor. For the interface between processor system module and image processing module, GPIO and memory control module are used, device drivers are developed. Linux kernel source is customized. This paper provides techniques of embedded system development and embedded linux porting.

  • We develop an embedded system to measure various sensor data, control multiple motors, and communicate with mobile devices for system managements. Choosing TI AM3359 microprocessor featuring high processing performance, low power consumption, and various I/O device support, we design and build the embedded system hardware so that it supports multiple global positioning system (GPS) and gyro sensor modules to measure precise position; multiple pulse width modulation (PWM) outputs to control multiple direct current (DC) motors; a Bluetooth module to communicate with mobile devices. Then, we port the boot loader and device drivers to the built circuit board and construct the firmware development environment for the application programming. The performance of the designed and implemented embedded system is demonstrated by real motor control test using GPS and gyro sensor data and control parameters configured by a mobile device.
