방사선 가교에 의한 PVA/PVP 하이드로겔 제조 및 드레싱에의 응용 (Synthesis of PVA/PVP Hydrogel by Irradiation Crosslinking)

  • 의료용 고분자로 널리 알려진 poly(vinylalcohol)(PVA)와 poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone)(PVP)를 이용하여 상처치료용 하이드로겔을 제조하였다. PVP 하이드로겔의 기계적 강도를 향상시키기 위해 PVA/PVP 혼합용액에 \"freezing and thawing (동결융해)\"을 반복한 후 방사선 ($^{60}$Co${\gamma}$-rays)을 조사하여 하이드로겔을 얻었다. PVA와 PVP의 조성비 (30 : 70 ~ 100 : 0), 동결융해의 반복횟수, PVA 분자량을 변화시키면서 PVA/PVP 하이드로겔의 겔화율, 팽윤도, 겔강도를 측정하였다. PVA/PVP 하이드로겔은 방사선 조사로만 제조되었을 때 보다 동결융해 반복 후 방사선조사했을 때 겔화율과 겔강도가 향상되었다. 이외에 동결융해의 반복정도에 따른 물성의 특징을 논의하였다.특징을 논의하였다.

  • A series of laboratory experiments was conducted to investigate the fixation characteristics of poly(vinylalcohol)-poly(methacrylic acid)(PVA-PMAA) mixed solution on the soluble (equation omitted)-radionuclides. Using the potentiometric titration technique, it was found out that the PVA and PMAA in a solution form intermacromolecular complex. The mobilized portion of each radionuclide by water from sand surface treated with a fixative was measured by ${\gamma}$-ray spectroscopy, The mobilized portion of minor radionuclides such as $^{241}$ Am, $^{154}$ Eu, $^{155}$ Eu and $^{144}$ Ce were higher than those of $^{134}$ Cs and $^{137}$ Cs. The capability of PVA-PMAA system was better among the candidate solutions for the fixation of total (equation omitted)-radioactivity, $^{134,137}$Cs which is composed of more than 85 % of total ${\gamma}$-radioactivity could be fixed effectively by the PVA-PMAA solution.

  • Hydrophobic polymer [ex. Poly(vinylidenfluoride)] layer was coated on polyaniline (PANi) sensor to reduce the contamination humidity. The differences in sensitivity to methanol gas detection in various humidity condition between pure-PANi sensor and sensor coated with poly(vinylidenfluoride) polymer (PVDF) (coated-PANi sensor) were investigated. Considering the relation between the density of pore, which was coated on the layer of the PANi sensor, and sensitivity was investigated. To fabricate the porous PVDF layer on PANi sensor, poly(vinylalcohol) (PVA), which is water-soluble polymer, was used. Coated-PANi sensor was less affected by humidity compared with pure-PANi sensor. And higher density of pore on PVDF layer led to higher sensitivity.

  • Water-swollen-hydrogel membranes for gas separation were prepared by dipcoating and thermal crosslinking of poly(vinylalcohol) (PVA) - poly(acrylacid) (PAA) blends on asymmetric porous polyetherimide(PEI) supporters. The polyetherimide supporters, prepared by phase inversion of polyetherimide solutions in N-methylpyrrolidone(NMP) (composition of PEI/NMP=25/75), had good heat and chemical resistane. The coating materials with different blending ratios of PVA/PAA(=90/10, 80/20, 70/30) were characterized with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), infrared spectroscopy(IR) and the water swelling ratios. The permeabilities and the separation factors of carbon dioxide through these membranes were measured by a mass flow meter and gas chromatograph at different temperatures, respectively, under a vacuum mode of downstream.

  • We fabricated a pentacene thin film transistor with Poly-vinylalcohol (PVA) as a dielectric. And we used Poly(9-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) as a buffer layer to improve the electrical characteristics. PVK is a material used often host material for OLED device, as it has good film forming properties, large HOMO-LUMO(highest occupied molecular orbital-lowest unoccupied molecular orbital) bandgap. The performance of a OTFT device with PVA gate dielectric was improved by using the PVK. Field effect mobility, threshold voltage, and on-off current ratio of device with PVK layer were about 0.6 $cm^2$/Vs, -17V, and $5\times10^5$, respectively.

  • Poly vinylidene fluoride (PVDF) 중공사막을 polyethylenimine (PEI)와 p-xylylene dichloride (XDC)를 이용해 친수화 시킨 후 poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)과 가교제인 poly(acrylic acid-co-maleic acid) (PAM) 혼합용액을 코팅하여 막을 제조하였다. 중공사막 표면의 코팅여부는 scanning electron microscope (SEM)을 통해 관찰하였으며, 막의 특성평가를 위해 물/에탄올 혼합액에 대한 투과증발 실험을 수행하였다. 공급액 조성은 90 wt% 에탄올 수용액을 사용하였으며, 가교제 농도, 공급액과 반응온도 변화에 따른 투과도 및 선택도를 측정하였다. 투과도는 반응온도 $100^{\circ}C$, PAM 농도 3 wt%, 공급액온도 $70^{\circ}C$에서 $1,480g/m^2hr$, 그리고 선택도는 반응온도 $100^{\circ}C$, PAM 농도 15 wt%, 공급액온도 $25^{\circ}C$에서 ${\alpha}_{W/E}=82$의 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

가용화 조성물과 난용성 약물군을 함유하는 고체분산체의 용출양상 (Dissolution Profiles of Solid Dispersions Containing Poorly Water-Soluble Drugs and Solubilizing Compositions)

  • Polymer based physical mixtures or solid dispersions containing solubilizing compositions[OA, tween80 and SLS] were prepared using a spray-dryer. Lovastatin(LOS), simvastatin(SIMS), aceclofenac(AFC) and cisapride(CSP) were selected as poorly water-soluble drugs. Dextrin, poly(vinylalcohol) (PVA), poly(vinylpyrrolidone)(PVP) and polyethylene glycol(PEG) were chosen as solubilizing carriers for solid dispersions. The solid dispersions containing solubilizing compositions without drug were prepared without using organic solvents or tedious changes of formulation compositions. This system could be used to quickly screen the dissolution profiles of poorly water-soluble drugs by simply mixing with drugs thereafter. In case of solid dispersion containing drug, organic solvent systems could be used to solubilize model drugs. The dissolution rates of the drugs were higher when mixed with drug and solid dispersions containing solubilizing compositions. However, solid dispersions of LOS, AFC, and CSP simultaneously containing drug and solubilizing compositions in organic solvent systems were more useful than physical mixtures of drug and solid dispersions without drug except SIMS. Based on solubilizing capability of polymer based physical mixtures in gelatin hard capsules, optimal solid dispersion system of poorly water-soluble drugs could be formulated. However, it should be noted that dissolution rate of poorly water-soluble drugs were highly dependent on drug properties, solubilizing compositions and polymeric carriers.

방사선 이용 항균성 천연추출물 함유 하이드로겔 제조 및 특성 연구 (Radiation Preparation and Characterization of Antimicrobial Hydrogels)

  • Taraxacum platycarpum (TP) has been used for years without restriction on usual dose for its non-toxic nature and nonexistence of the side effects. To develop antimicrobial hydrogel, poly (vinylalcohol) (PVA) hydrogels containing the aqueous extracted TP as an antimicrobial agent were prepared by using gamma-rays irradiation. The antimicrobial activities of the TP hydrogels were tested against Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis by disc diffusion method. The inhibition zones (IZ) of the TP extracts and TP hydrogels against S. aureus were 16 mm and 20 mm and against S. epidermidis was 10 mm and 13 mm, respectively. In conclusion, the TP hydrogel that has an excellent antimicrobial activity was proved to be a valuable material for functional skin care.
