A Public Relations Policy Studies on Recovered Confidence of the People for a Nuclear Power Plant (원자력 발전에 대한 국민 신뢰감 회복 PR 정책방안)

  • This study were proposed for the promotion policy on public confidence in nuclear power recovery schemes. To this end, the existing survey and secondary data review and public distrust of nuclear power plant safety issues were raised. In addition, the meta-analysis data were analyzed by using. Promote public confidence in nuclear power plants recovered three major policy presented. First, the nuclear power plant for the economical / safety communication strategy, short term / long term in terms proposed. Second, strengthen the nuclear power plant reliability and short-term communication strategy / long term in terms proposed. Finally, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's long-term image building measures proposed. The results of this study Korea's nuclear power plants to increase confidence in the effect is expected to be presented.

  • Vehicular Adhoc Networks (VANET), a Vehicle-to-Infrastucture or Vehicle-to-Vehicle communication technology, is an area that makes more specific use of Mobile Adhoc Networks(MANET). VANET's Quality of Service(QoS) focuses on preventing possible emergencies like car crash from happening by immediately transmitting information to the cars around, while MANET's QoS is being studied for the quality of multimedia data such as Video on Demand(VoD), Video streaming, Voice over IP(VoIP), etc. In this paper, I structure the actual network configuration using Link State Routing(LSR), implement QoS Provisioning Model using Common Open Policy Service(COPS), and suggest more effective k-hop Cluster and inter-domain policy negotiation which fit better to the characteristics of VANET.

  • With PV market extension, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) went on the floor as an effective method so solve the reduction phenomenon of Performance Ratio (PR) of PV power plant and as a new business model of photovoltaic industry. This study chose institutionalization of O&M to vitalize domestic photovoltaic industry improving level of photovoltaic technology and dominate the market in advance. The result of analyzing advanced researches and domestic cases indicates that O&M is essential of operating PV power plant, therefore, now is the time for a systematic approach to establish O&M policy.

  • Breast cancer remains the second leading cause of cancer death among woman, worldwide, despite advances in identifying novel targeted therapies and the development of treating strategies. Classification of clinical subtypes (ER+, PR+, HER2+, and TNBC (Triple-negative)) increases the complexity of breast cancers, which thus necessitates further investigation. Mouse models used in breast cancer research provide an essential approach to examine the mechanisms and genetic pathway in cancer progression and metastasis and to develop and evaluate clinical therapeutics. In this review, we summarize tumor transplantation models and genetically engineered mouse models (GEMMs) of breast cancer and their applications in the field of human breast cancer research and anti-cancer drug development. These models may help to improve the knowledge of underlying mechanisms and genetic pathways, as well as creating approaches for modeling clinical tumor subtypes, and developing innovative cancer therapy.

Prediction of Health Care Cost Using the Hierarchical Condition Category Risk Adjustment Model (위계적 질환군 위험조정모델 기반 의료비용 예측)

  • Background: This study was conducted to evaluate the performance of the Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) model, identify potentially high-cost patients, and examine the effects of adding prior utilization to the risk model using Korean claims data. Methods: We incorporated 2 years of data from the National Health Insurance Services-National Sample Cohort. Five risk models were used to predict health expenditures: model 1 (age/sex groups), model 2 (the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services-HCC with age/sex groups), model 3 (selected 54 HCCs with age/sex groups), model 4 (bed-days of care plus model 3), and model 5 (medication-days plus model 3). We evaluated model performance using $R^2$ at individual level, predictive positive value (PPV) of the top 5% of high-cost patients, and predictive ratio (PR) within subgroups. Results: The suitability of the model, including prior use, bed-days, and medication-days, was better than other models. $R^2$ values were 8%, 39%, 37%, 43%, and 57% with model 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, respectively. After being removed the extreme values, the corresponding $R^2$ values were slightly improved in all models. PPVs were 16.4%, 25.2%, 25.1%, 33.8%, and 53.8%. Total expenditure was underpredicted for the highest expenditure group and overpredicted for the four other groups. PR had a tendency to decrease from younger group to older group in both female and male. Conclusion: The risk adjustment models are important in plan payment, reimbursement, profiling, and research. Combined prior use and diagnostic data are more powerful to predict health costs and to identify high-cost patients.

SIP QoS Support in Broadband Access Networks (광대역 접속망에서 SIP QoS 지원 방안)

  • This paper presents an approach to support dynamic QoS(Quality of Service) requirements of largely emerging SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) multimedia applications in broadband access networks. The topology of QoS-enabled broadband access networks and its operational model to support SIP QoS are firstly suggested. And then the procedures to bind QoS-enabled SIP signaling into an IP QoS mechanism are presented. In this paper, DiffServ-based IP QoS architecture is deployed due to the complexity problem of the other IntServ architecture, and COPS(Common Open Policy Service) and COPS-PR protocol based signaling mechanisms are used to support dynamic DiffServ QoS, correspondent with dynamic SIP QoS. The broadband access network is assumed to support rapidly expanding Metro Ethernet 802.1 D/Q QoS, and how to translate SIP QoS parameters into IP DiffServ classes and DiffServ classes into 802.1 D/Q QoS parameters is also presented in this paper.

Implementation of Bandwidth Broker and Router for End-to-end QoS in Differentiated Service Networks (종단간 QoS 보장을 위한 차별화 서비스 지원 대역 브로커 및 라우터 구현)

  • In this paper, we developmed and implemented router and bandwidth broker that provides end-to-end QoS in differentiated service IP networks. Our design goal is to provide end-to-end premium service using the EF PHB. The bandwidth broker and router were implemented in the FreeBSD 4.6 platform. For the DiffServ router, we implemented QoS daemon, rollback managment routine, monitoring, and COPS-PR client. Also, Ive implemented bandwith broker which has SLS and resource management function, and signaling protocols for interfacing intra-and inter-domain. On the testbed, we have validated and evaluated the performance of the implemented DiffServ router and bandwidth broker using the inter-domain signaling protocol client in MS Windows platform. The test results show that the end-to-end QoS can be guaranteed for the inter-domain diffServ by the implemented system.

Meta Analysis of Theories in PR research 2003-2012 (피알 연구이론의 메타분석 2003-2012)

  • The year 1997 was when Korean Journal of Public Relations Research started to publish research articles. This study addresses the issue of theories in Korean public relations research. A total of 166 research papers are analyzed to see characteristics and changes during 2003-2012. Through this meta analysis, the researcher tries to see the big picture and discusses the right direction for the future of the public relations in many ways. Three different groupings were adopted to classify theories in the 10 year perion - 1. origins of theories(public relations field, related neighbor field, distant field), 2. target of analysis(individual, organization, society), 3. level of approach (systematic pluralistic, rhetorical, critical approach). According to the findings, though getting better, it was 'cold season' in public relations research because theories utilized in Korean public relations research were not very excellent qualitatively and qualitatively. Interdisciplinary approach is discussed.

A Study on the prediction of Advertising Expenditure (계량적 통계분석을 통한 매체별 광고비 예측 연구)

  • This study is designed to predict the total ad expenditure of Korea, and six media ad expenditures in 5 years based on the past 20 years ad expenditure date. We use annual data published by Cheil Worldwide advertising data analysis. Time series, SUR method, exponential smoothing method and regression analysis were used for exploring the data. The results showed that the total advertising expenditure in 2018 is predicted to 10,873 billion wons. On the basis of the findings, implications are discussed for academicians as well as practitioners.
