Police education has shown a pronounced improvement during three eras in American police history. as the Reform Era arrived, the police academy was invented. With it, citizen expectations for the police expanded, and the level of competence exhibited by police grew. After the 1960s came the invention of the FTO and the creation of ongoing, in-service training requirements. in recent years, academics in many places-but by no means everywhere-are taking a more collegial approach to training, aimed especially at COP- style policing and the achievement of genuine professionalism. The Korean police training system is less efficient in education methodology, more inappropriate in the switch system of school education and practice, and poorer in educational environment, among others. Based on my findings, this paper recommends several improvement tips. First, legal stipulations on police training should be integrated and detailed. Second, active participation by preliminary police officers should be emphasized in the class of police training. Third, contents and hours for practice should be emphasized to maximize effects of the "switch system." Fourth, the educational environment of the Academy should be improved.

The purpose of this study was to examine the types and state of the private sector's cooperative activities for public peace and order and any problems with it in an effort to step up the revitalization of police-college collaborative efforts for public security by allowing police studies majors and security science majors to participate in crime prevention activities for which the police was responsible in each local community. What problems might possibly take place if police studies majors and security science majors would be involved in crime prevention activities was investigated by making a qualitative analysis. The findings of the study were as follows: First, more human resources and equipment should be offered, as the shortage of the two was pointed out as one of problems with the police itself. Second, how to cope with accidents that might occur if police studies majors and security science majors would take part in crime prevention activities should carefully be studied. Third, it should first be carried out at college to improve an ability to properly respond to diverse situations on the spot.

This study examined the effects of the online community, such as chatting, book-cafe on the neighborhood relationship. Through a case study of 'The Sharp' apartment area, the characters of neighborhood relationship between user and non-user were compared. The factors affecting the community relationships were analyzed by regression analysis. According to the results, the residents using the online community shared their emotions, thoughts and information with their neighbors so that the level of neighborhood relationship was higher. To reprove the neighborhood relationship being cut off the online community should be handled as an important factor in the planning of apartments. This study as a basic research is expected to contribute to policing against crimes and accidents in apartments.

Public order management is one of the most important areas in policing. Drawing on the legal framework and policy, this study aims to assess practices of criminal justice practitioners, especially, police and prosecutors, in England and Wales. Using qualitative interviewing, four main themes are identified: (1) an emphasis on a right to protest, (2) police practices on public order management, (3) the development of police/prosecutor liaison, and (4) the value of video evidence. Based upon these findings, several legal, policy and practice implications are drawn. These implications involve a wide range of aspects concerning strategic, operational, and tactical interventions by the police, as well as collaboration between police and prosecutors. Although the criminal justice context in England and Wales is very different to South Korea, some practices and distinctions can be useful to consider in the Korean context. This study suggests that more gains can be made if legislation, policy, and practice across criminal justice nodes can be coordinated and approached holistically.

In ATM traffic multiplexing, the cell clumping and the cell dispersion are occured due to the cell delay variance(CDV) which changes the traffic characteristics. These cell variances increase the burstiness of t.he cell streams and make the network congested. The function of the traffic shaping is necessary to transmit the input streams into the networks or into the traffic policing schemes with some intevals. Most of the existing studies regard the input traffics as the traffic with the identical characteristics. In this study, the traffic shaping is processed by considering the traffic characteristICS with t.he loss-sensitive traffic and the delay-sensitive traffic. The traffic shaping model and the traffic shaping algorithm which considers the" characteristics of input streams have been presented. The traffic effect On t.he CDV size is also studied. The proposed scheme is compared to Virtual Scheduling Algorithm(VSA) and the efficiency of the proposed scheme is evaluated. According to the simulation results, t.he mean delay is decreased about 12% in delay-sensitive traffic and the traffic burstiness is decreased about 11 % in loss-sensitive traffic.

Maritime police recognize that the organizational culture of various acting as a member of the organization. Also, marine policing and security activities to determine the number of build. The overall culture of maritime police who share the organization sub-culture may take place. Maritime police organizational culture and a variety of types of group culture, hierarchical culture, development culture, rational culture examined the differences in perceptions. Maritime police aware of the general results of the analysis are as follows; First, the maritime police officers of the age group of 20 was the highest recognition in hierarchy culture and rational culture. Second, the maritime police officers of the rank of captain was the highest recognition in development culture and rational culture. Third, differences in the perception of organizational culture by recruitment analysis show the difference in cultural groups showed, in particular, the special recruitment group of police officers, and maritime police culture can be seen tend to appear low.

'SMART Police' means collecting, analyzing and utilizing the police database such as crime statistics, reflecting 'strategic management', 'analysis and research', 'science technology' do. In recent years, the number of sex offenses has more than doubled based on the 'crime analysis' of the Supreme Prosecutors' In this trend, we started to build a sex crime prevention program for women 's relief special 3.0 which is suitable for regional characteristics. However, it was not enough for the women to have low publicity and utilization results, and to show the practical effect. In the future, we propose a crime prevention system which can safely take home safeguarding with autonomous driving car or drone by applying ICT to the future police system. Although it is difficult to operate autonomous vehicles and drones in the surrounding environment such as narrow alleys and power lines for application to this system, it is thought that the artificial intelligence technology can be sufficiently overcome to operate.

In typical video streaming services such as MPEG encoded video, the transmission data sizes change depending on the frame types and the required bandwidth for QoS support also changes as time passes. Accordingly, in video streaming services using the Internet it could happen that the video services stop occasionally due to instantaneous deficiencies of the required bandwidth under unexpected congestion even if the highest priority is allocated to the service by network administration. In this paper, we investigate several methods for bandwidth allocation and traffic engineering to support MPEG video traffic and propose a new method to reduce the transmission delay and enhance the throughput, there by provisioning the QoS requirements. In the proposed scheme, LSPs are established based on temporal variation patterns of the Internet traffic and the CQ_LLQ policing scheme is applied for traffic shaping at the ingress routers. Finally we verified the performance of the proposed scheme via computer simulations using OPNET.

The effects of the U-Police Service is expected to go much beyond present police service. Scientific police service using the UIT will enable the police to confront rapidly to the crimes which has been in the blind spot of law enforcement in the result of insufficient police forces and maintenance of law and order by putting police manpower first. Cetizens' feeling of safety from crimes is also expected to be much improved and this will bring about noticeabe effect on crime prevention by suppressing the crime impulse in advance. This thesis have come up with various research results by interviewing police officers and citizen of the City of Seoul under the circumstances that there has been no positive and analytical studies on the areas that the UIT could apply to or the possibility of utilizing the UIT. As we apply the UIT to the police service, how we solve the problem occurring by adopting the UIT and how much we can protect private information is much more important than what kind of service we can provide. Especially, embodiment of U-Police service is a necessary precondition for constructing ubiquitous city in near future. Following studies to draw relevant research results by expanding the objects of the study are much needed including the study on the measurement of efficiency of U-Police service in each service sectors which the UIT applies to.

By materials of traffic safety public corporation, from 2007. 1. 1 to 2007 12. 31, for a year. traffic accidents took place in korea were 211,662 accidents. By this 6,166 people were death, and 335,906 people were wounded. In Gwangju metropolitan city, in 2007 year, 7,881 accidents took place and 152 people were death and 12,728 peoples were wounded, in 2008 year, 8,231 accidents took place and 138 people were death and 13,533 people were wounded. Death people reduced but accidents numbers were in creased 4.4%. Meanwhile, government did various traffic policies to reduce traffic accident. But still, disgrace of underdeveloped country in traffic division couldn't take off. Moreover, traffic safety unconcern of general country people are very deficient. In this research, as the basis of Gwangju province police agency, in traffic accident the present state, I am' going to analyse the part of directly related to citizen life and centering death accident and to present traffic police activities for prevention of traffic accidents.
