  • The closed movement produced vertically on the position of a motor is a notation movement produced by a notation force , while the horizontal movement can be shown by the coriolis force and the transverse force of realizing that the closed movement of the closed system is to be rotation motion. The notation movement is a vertical closed movement and by searching the equation which becomes an equation model, after comparing the simulation data from the equation model with data of a real device to use it into the computer simulation model, the additional variable elements were decided. As the result, the energy imbalance element is added as a variable about load which is relevant to friction coefficient and pole of a motor in the gravitational field. The simulation can be applied as a real physical law of the graphic game and haptic program.

Scale model system for motor-driven, inertial load, the structure of the load for the motor and the inverter system was constructed with two sets of converters, the actual range of the rotational speed of the vehicle DDM experiments to be able to. In Additional, observer to estimate the rotor position and speed of using resolver, and the pole at low speed, speed detection methods have been developed. As a result of this study, first, stop the moment Second, the reduction of braking torque, and how to initiate the operation of the air brake blending by using the braking, improve braking methods that only use the electric brake to stop brought.

  • Paleomagnetic data have been obtained from the Lower Triassic Tonggo Formation which is exposed in Tanyang area comprising the Pyeongan Supergroup in eastern Korea. Mean characteristic direction of the Tonggo Formation is declination/inclination=$121.4^{\circ}/-26.4^{\circ}$ (k=52.7, ${\alpha}_{95}=7.2^{\circ}$, N=9 Sites) and paleopole at longitude/latitude=$30.7^{\circ}E/33.3^{\circ}N$ ($dp/dm=4.2^{\circ}/7.8^{\circ}$). The mean direction passes reversal test and fold test at 99% confidence level. Therefore, it is inferred to be a pre-folding component. The paleopole position of this study is close to the Triassic pole positions of the North China Block; it is far from those of the South China Block. Therefore, a first order correlation between the Korean Peninsula and North China at least since Lower Triassic times is identified in this study.

  • Quadruple magnet is an essential component for the accelerator, and the field uniformity in the good field region reflects the quality of quadruple magnet. In this paper, the total magnetic field B was separated into the coil-induced magnetic field $B_s$ and the iron-induced magnetic field $B_c$ to explain why the total magnetic field B has some inhomogeneity. Using Fourier analysis, harmonic components of $B_s$, $B_c$ and B have been analyzed at good field region, respectively. The harmonics of multipole magnet and Fourier analysis are helpful to show the uniformity of magnetic field. Several geometries of yoke and coils were defined to analyze the effect on field uniformity of an HTS quadruple magnet. By the analysis, it was found that the sixth harmonics which is the main factor of field inhomogeneity can be reduced to zero. It means that the sixth harmonics of the magnetic field B can be removed by adjusting the geometry of the magnet pole and the position of coils. We expect that this result can effectively improve the uniformity of an HTS quadruple magnet.

  • In this paper, a haptic fishing robot, Fishbot, for a Virtual Fishing System is presented. Fishbot is 3DOF robot and it consists of a XY table and a wheel motor. To simulate the motion of fish, XY table is controlled by position servo drivers with variable torque constraint, and wheel axis is controlled by torque servo driver. Finally, Fishibot detects the end point of fishing pole with cameras to recognize the pose of user, and it can interface with a Virtual Reality System.

  • The single-phase switched reluctance motor(SRM) generates the positive torque in the restricted section. So, it can not started by itself and the torque ripple is heavier than poly-phase. For self-starting and fixing rotating direction, the rotor should be placed at the rising inductance slope when stationary. The parking permanent magnet locates the rotor in the fixed position, which can be started by it-self. It is very simple and cost effective but has some drawbacks. It affects the rotor during the operation, so the characteristics of motor, such as a torque, speed, and ripple are changed to go bad. This paper presents the detent torque of parking magnet starting device through the finite element analysis and experiments. The finite element analysis is performed at incremental rotor positions over one detent torque cycle for any one pole. The prototype, fabricated in the previous research, is used for the experiments. The inductance, instant torque, and detent torque are calculated using the terminal voltage and phase current. Finally, the finite element analysis result and the experiment result are compared for analysis and validity.

  • POSTECH Graduate School of Wind Energy is trying to upgrade the PMSG used for Unison U50 to 900 kW class. Intensive optimization efforts are carried out the reduce the axial size and total weight of the generator while increasing the rated output to 900 kW. The generator features 3.32m stator inner radius, 671mm stator length, 84 pole, 25 rated rpm and 31.6kN/$m^2$ shear force density. To reduce the gross weight, the stronger magnetic material is applied with optimal magnet size resulting lowest cogging torque. Also, instead of stator skewing the stator, the magnet position along the circumference is optimized to further reduce the cogging torque. This scheme eliminates the stator skewing procedure and may enhance the productivity. This method also reduces the total harmonic distortion. In this report, upgrade method, no-load line to line voltage and phase voltage, cogging torque, loss calculations and thermal analysis are presented.

  • In this paper, we present a global localization and position error compensation method in a known indoor environment using magnet hall sensors. In previous our researches, it was possible to compensate the pose errors of $x_e$, $y_e$, ${\theta}_e$ correctly on the surface of indoor environment with magnets sets by regularly arrange the magnets sets of identical pattern. To improve the proposed method, new strategy that can realize the global localization by changing arrangement of magnet pole is presented in this paper. Total six patterns of the magnets set form the unique landmarks. Therefore, the virtual map can be built by using the six landmarks randomly. The robots search a pattern of magnets set by rotating, and obtain the current global pose information by comparing the measured neighboring patterns with the map information that is saved in advance. We provide experimental results to show the effectiveness of the proposed method for a differential drive wheeled mobile robot.

  • In this paper we propose a detection method of the medial axis of the continuous stripes on the LoG scale-space. Our method detects the medial axis of continuous stripes iteratively by varying the scale of LoG operator. Small-scale LoG operator detects two +/- pole pairs centered on the edge positions of stripe by the zero-crossing detection. The more increase the scale of LoG scale-space, the more close two poles to the medial axis of stripe. The medial axis of continuous stripe is the position where two poles is overlapped. The proposed method detected robustly the medial axis of continuous stripes stronger than the thinning methods used to binary image.
