  • It costs high in both memory usage and time consuming to sample the space to compute charge density and calculate electric field on that with large size of plasma data. In real-time and interactive application, accelerating the compute time is critical problem. In this paper, we suggest new method to visualize electric field by using convolution theorem, and the parallel computing to accelerate computing time by using GPGPU. We conduct a simulation that compare running time between the methods with convolution and without convolution. We discussed the method of visualization of multivariate data in three dimensional space using colored volume rendering and surface construction.

  • Nitrided oxides have been investigated recently for application as a replacement for thermally grown $SiO_2$ in MIS devices. In this paper, thin oxides were nitrided in $N_2$ Plasma ambient. With the measurement of the equivalent paralled conductance and capacitance by the using coductance technique, the characterization of Si-SiON interface is developed. The interface state density of Si-SiON is obtained by $1{\times}10^{11}{\sim}9{\times}10^{11}(eV^{-1}Cm^{-2})$. After${\pm}$B-T stress is performed on the sample, the interface state density gets increased.

  • Nitrided oxides have been recently investigated for the application as a replacement of thermally grown $SiO_2$in the MIS devices. In this paper, thin oxides were nitrided in the $N_2$plasma ambient. After B - T stress is performed on the sample, it was noticed that the current density is increased. From the I - V measurement, dominant conduction mechanism of oxynitride films appeared to be Fowler - Nordheim emission. And also its breakdown strength is increased about 2.2 MV/cm compared with the oxide films.

  • Plasma diagnostics using Langmuir Probe is of wide application because of its simplicity in measurement of electron temperatures and densities. Current methods using simple circuit and analog meters, however, have troubles when they are applied to time-varying or thermal plasmas. To overcome these problems and expand the area of applicability, we have designed fast electronic voltage sweeping circuit in which we can detect digital data. Diagnostics using our digital Langmuir Probe is performed in various kinds of plasmas and the results are shown. Our method can be applied to measuring electron temperature and density of high temperature or time-varying plasmas. And we expect further knowledge of each state of plasma.

  • A high plasma density of $10^{12}cm^{-3}$ can be produced at the pressure of few mTorr with R. F input power of 300-400W. A radially uniform plasma to a radius of 7cm at the substrate was produced at the pressure of 1 mTorr. The electron density and temperature were confirmed with double Langmuir probe, $\mu$-wave interferometer. It has bee found that the dispersion relation N/B=constant not be applied at the low R.F input power(<600W) but can be applied at high R.F input power(>600W).

  • The plasma densities generated from a semiconductor bridge (SCB) device employing a capacitor discharge firing set have been measured by a novel diagnostic technique employing a microwave resonator probe. The spatial resolution of the probe is comparable to the separation between the two wires of the transmission lines (${\approx}$3 mm). This method is superior to Langmuir probes in this application because Langmuir probe measurements are affected by sheath effects, small bridge area, and unknown fraction of multiple ions. Measured electron densities are related to the land material and input energy. Although electron densities in the plasma generated by aluminum or tungsten-land SCB devices show a general tendency to increase steadily with power, at the higher energies, the electron densities generated from tungsten-land SCB devices are found to remain constant.

  • A rapid and reproducible high performance liquid chromatographic assay of prazosin in human plasma was developed. After addition of internal standard (IS, terazosin hydrochloride) and alkalization of the plasma, the drug and IS were extracted into t-butylmethylether. The organic phase was back-extracted into 0.05% phosphoric acid and 50 ${\mu}\ell$ of the acid solution was injected into a reverse-phase C18 column with a mobile phase consisting of water : acetonitrile : triethylamine = 75 : 25 : 0.1 (pH 5.0). The samples were detected utilizing a fluorescence detector. A

  • Well-aligned multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were fabricated by utilizing a radio frequency plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (rf-PECVD) system from Ni particles at the bottom of anodic alumina nanoholes (AAN). To remove the amorphous graphite layers on the AAN surface and to eliminate the protrusion of MWNT tips, the AAN surface with MWNTs were treated by external rf plasma source. As a result, the AAN surface almost became flat without having any protrusion of MWNT tips. The diameter, length of MWNTs and AAN were investigated by using a scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Raman spectroscopy was also used to characterize wall structure of the carbon nanotube. And the emission properties of the MWNTs were measured for the application of field emission display (FED) in near future.

  • In this paper, we fabricate arrayed-type flexible capacitive touch sensor using liquid metal (LM) droplets (4 mm spatial resolution). Poly-4-vinylphenol (PVP) layer is used as a dielectric layer on the electrode patterned Polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) film. Bonding tests between hydroxyl group (-OH) on the PVP film and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) are conducted in a various $O_2$ plasma treatment conditions. Through the tests, we can confirm that non-$O_2$ plasma treated PVP layer and $O_2$ plasma treated PDMS can make a chemical bond. To measure dynamic range of the device, one-cell experiments are conducted and we confirmed that the fabricated device has a large dynamic range (~60 pF).

  • Rotator cuff tear is a common reason for shoulder pain. Although the surgical technique of rotator cuff repair is developing, high retear rate requires additional supplementary methods. Among these supplementary methods, as a kind of biologic augmentation, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has been spotlighted and has recently been studied by many researchers. PRP, a concentrate of platelet extract obtained from whole blood, contains numerous growth factors. As this is known to play an important role in the tissue recovery process, it had been used for research in a variety of fields including orthopedics. Use of PRP has been attempted in surgical treatments of rotator cuff tear for better results; however, only a few large-scale research studies on the effect of PRP have been reported. Clinical results of each study are also variable. Therefore research using large-scale randomized, double-blind trials should be conducted in order to prove the application range, safety, and clinical effects of PRP.
