오미자(五味子)의 백서(白鼠) 신장기능(腎臟機能) 및 혈장(血漿) 호르몬 농도(濃度)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effects of Chinese magnolia vine Extract on the Renal Function in Rats)

  • The aim of this experiments was to investigate the effects of Chinese magnolia vine water extract on the renal function, plasma renin activity, plasma levels of aldosterone and atrial natriuretic peptide in rats. The results of this study were as follows; 1. Water balance decreased significantly after administration with Chinese magnolia vine extracts (0.2 ml/200 g of body weight). 2. Urine volume increased significantly after administration with Chinese magnolia vine extracts. 3. Urinary excretion of sodium increased significantly after administration with Chinese magnolia vine extracts. 4. Urinary excretion of creatinine increased significantly after administration with Chinese magnolia vine extracts (0.2 ml/200 g of body weight). 5. Plasma levels of atrial natriuretic peptide decreased significantly after administration with Chinese magnolia vine extracts (0.1 ml/200 g of body weight). 6. Plasma levels of aldosterone decreased significantly after administration with Chinese magnolia vine extracts (0.2 ml/200 g of body weight).

가미계혈등탕(加味鷄血藤湯)이 고혈압(高血壓)에 미치는 영향(影響) (The Effect of Gamigehyuldeung-tang on Hypertension)

  • Objectives : This study was done to investigate the effect of Gamigehyuldeung-tang on hypertension. Methods : After administering Gamigehyuldeung-tang extract to SHR(Spontaneous Hypertensive Rats) for 5 weeks, changes in blood pressure, pulse rate, aldosterone and catecholamine levels in plasma were examined, and immunohistochemical changes and scanning electron microscopic changes were observed. Results : The following results were obtained; blood presure decreased significantly as well as levels of aldosterone, dopamine and epinephrine in SHR. But levels of norepinephrine were unaffected. No capillary vessel dilation was observed. A decrease in cell damage was seen in microscope investigation. Conclusions : These results support a role for Gamigehyuldeung-tang might be usefully applied in treatment of hypertension.

간양상항방(肝陽上亢方)이 고혈압(高血壓)에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Ganyangsanghang-bang on Hypertension)

  • This study was done to investigate the effect of Ganyangsanghang-bang(GYSHB) on hypertension. After administering GYSHB extract to SHR for 5 weeks, changes in blood pressure, pulse rate, aldosterone and catecholamine levels in plasma were examined, and immunohistochemical changes were observed, and liver function test was done. The following results were obtained; blood presure decreased significantly as well as levels of aldosterone and norepinephrine in SHR. But levels of dopamine were unaffected. No capillary vessel dilation in adrenal cortex was observed. Safety against hepatic toxicity was showed. These results support a role for GYSHB might be usefully applied in treatment of hypertension.

부신피질호르몬이 혈장 Erythropoietin 활성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Adrenocortical Hormone on Plasma Erythropoietin)

  • This study was undertaken to determine if the adrenocortical hormone was concerned on erythropoietic function, especially on the production of erythropoietin in the kidney. Erythropoietin titers in plasma measured in each group of mice: 1) hypertransfused mice treated with the plasma of rats pretreated with hydrocortisone, dexamethasone, fludrocortisone and DOCA 2) hypertransfused mice treated with the plasma of the rat pretreated with aldosterone antagonist and adrenocortical hormone concomitantly. Erythropoietin level in plasma were measured by the modification of DeGowin's method. The results of the experiment were summerised as follows: 1) No significant changes of erythropoietin titers were observed in hypertransfused mice treated with the plasma of rats pretreated with hyrocortisone and dexamethasone respectively. 2) Erythropoietin titers increased significantly in hypertransfused mice treated with the plasma of rats pretreated with fludrocortisone and DOCA respectively, compared with control. 3) No significant changes of erythropoietin titers were observed in hypertransfused mice treated with the plasma of rats pretreated with spironolactone and triamterene respectively, compared with control. 4) Erythropoietin titers slightly increased in hypertransfused mice treated with the plasma of rats pretreated with spironolactone or triamterene, and fludrocortisone concomitantly and also with spirolactone or triamterene and DOCA.

심혈관 계통의 조절을 통한 신장 기능에 미치는 오미자의 효과 (Effects of Schizandriae fructus Extract on the Renal Function by Cardiovascular Regulation)

  • In this study, Schizandriae fructus which has been used in oriental medicine and folks remedy, was studied to apply to functional foods and oriental medicinal cuisine. The aim of this experiments was to investigate the effects of Schizandriae fructus water extract(SFE) on the renal function, plasma renin activity, plasma levels of aldosterone and arterial natriuretic peptide(ANP) in rats. Spargue-Dawley rats weigh 200g, were randomly assigned to 3 groups such as basal diet only(BDG), basal diet with $0.5{\mu}L/g$ SFE(LAG) and basal diet with $1.0{\mu}L/g$ SFE(HAG). The results were as follows. Water balance decreased significantly after administration for 2 weeks compared with the control period in HAG. Urine volume increased significantly after administration for 1 week compared with the control period in LAG and HAG. Urinary excretion of sodium increased significantly after administration for 1 week and for 2 weeks compared with the control period in LAG and HAG. Urinary excretion of creatinine increased significantly after administration for 2 weeks compared with the control period in HAG. Plama levels of ANL decreased significantly after administration of $SFE(0.5{\mu}L/g)$. Plasma levels of aldosterone decreased significantly after administration of $SFE(1.0{\mu}L/g)$. There results indicated that Schizandriae fructus can improve the renal function through increased urine volume and sodium excretion. These results imply that SFE could be used as a potent food resource for diet therapy or clinical nutrition.

구기자(枸杞子) 추출물이 납 투여(投與)에 의한 흰쥐의 신장(腎臟) 손상(損傷)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effects of Lycii Fructus Water Extracts on the Lead-Induced Nephrotoxicity in Rats)

  • This study was designed to investigate the effects of Korean Lycii Fructus water extract in Pb-administered rats. The Pb exposed rats were given 100 ppm and 200 ppm in the distilled water. Sixty male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing between 90 and 110g were blocked into 6 groups according to body weight. The control group was fed a normal diet, without lead. The experimental groups, which was fed a normal diet plus 100 ppm and 200 ppm lead, and one group received a normal diet plus Lycii Fructus water extracts. The results: the Food intake, the weight gain, and the kidney weight content in the cadmium added groups were lower than those in the Lycii Fructus water extracts group. The contents of Pb in the kidneys of the rats were determined by using ICP(lnductively Coupled Plasma Spectrophotometer). The accumulation of lead in the kidney was lower in the Lycii Fructus water extracts group. The Plasma levels of renin activity was higher in the lead administration groups, as compared with the Lycii Fructus water extracts. Plasma levels of aldosterone activity was higher in the lead administration group, as compared with Lycii Fructus water extracts. These results suggest that Lycii Fructus water extracts has a lowering effects on the accumulation of pb on kidney and it is believed that the Lycii Fructus water extracts have some protective effects on lead-induced nephrotoxicity in rats, but the mechanism of these effects was obscure.

  • Even though we drink and excrete water without recognition, the amount and the composition of body fluid remain constant everyday. Maintenance of a normal osmolality is under the control of water balance which is regulated by vasopressin despite sodium concentration is the dominant determinant of plasma osmolality. The increased plasma osmolality (hypernatremia) can be normalized by the concentration of urine, which is the other way of gaining free water than drinking water, while the low plasma osmolality (hyponatremia) can be normalized by the dilution of urine which is the only regulated way of free water excretion. On the other hand, volume status depends on the control of sodium balance which is regulated mainly by renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, through which volume depletion can be restored by enhancing sodium retention and concomitant water reabsorption. This review focuses on the urine concentration and dilution mechanism mediated by vasopressin and the associated disorders; diabetes insipidus and syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion.

  • 저칼륨혈증의 경우 약제 또는 백혈구 증가증 등에 의해서 칼륨이 일시적으로 세포내로 이동하는 재분포에 의해서 생기는 저칼륨혈증을 먼저 감별한다. 칼륨소실에 의한 결핍의 경우 소변 칼륨 농도 또는 TTKG를 구하고, 감소되어 있는 경우에는 칼륨의 신외성 손실, 칼륨 섭취의 부족 등을 감별한다. 증가되어 있는 경우 신장을 통한 칼륨의 소실을 생각하고, 고혈압이 동반되어 있지 않을 경우 산증과 관련된 경우, 구토에 의한 경우, 세뇨관에서의 칼륨 재흡수 장애 또는 칼륨의 분비가 증가되는 경우를 생각할 수 있다. 고혈압이 동반되어 있을 경우 혈장 레닌과 알도스테론을 측정하여 레닌이 증가되어 있을 경우, 혈장 레닌이 정상 또는 낮으면서 혈장 알도스테론만 증가한 경우, 혈장 알도스테론은 증가되어 있지 않지만 알도스테론 이외에 광물부신겉질호르몬의 작용이 증가하는 경우를 감별한다. 증상은 무기력, 경련, 근육통, 횡문근 융해증, 변비, 장폐쇄, 부정맥, 지각이상 등이 있다. 치료는 원인 질환의 치료 및 칼륨공급이다. 고칼륨혈증은 재분포에 의한 경우, 가성 고칼륨혈증, 진성 고칼륨혈증을 감별해야 한다. 진성 고칼륨혈증이면서 사구체 여과율이 감소되어 있는 경우 신부전 또는 체내 칼륨 부하가 증가하는 경우를 감별한다. 사구체 여과율이 15 mL/min/$1.73m^2$ 이상인 경우에는 혈장 레닌과 알도스테론을 검사한다. 모두 낮을 경우, 혈장 레닌은 정상이지만 알도스테론만 낮은 경우, 혈장 알도스테론의 농도는 정상이지만 알도스테론의 작용을 저해되는 경우 등을 감별해야 한다. 증상은 부정맥, 감각 이상, 허약 등이 있다. 치료는 calcium gluconate, 인슐린, 베타2작용제, 중탄산염, furosemide, resin, 투석 등이 있으며, 칼륨을 제한하고 원인 약물이 있을 경우 이를 중단해야 한다.

기능성 GABA차의 고혈압 강하효과 (Effect of hypertention falling of functional GABA green tea)

  • GABA차를 본태성 고혈압 쥐에 음용시켰을 때, 1.5% GABA차가 포함된 먹이를 섭취한 본태성 고혈압 쥐의 3주 후 수축기 혈압은 처음의 175.53mmHg에 비해 177.35mmHg로 별 차이가 없었으나 대조구는 192.06mmHg로 수축기 혈압이 상당히 증가함을 볼 수 있었다. 혈장 중 aldosterone 농도도 GABA차 1.5% 섭취 쥐는 $248.56{\pm}30.44pg/ml$인데 반해 대조구는 $606.98{\pm}57.79pg/ml$로 2.5배 이상 농도 수준이 낮음을 알 수 있었다.
