  • This article studies the design of Bayesian single attribute acceptance sampling plans under dependent production processes. An economic model is constructed by extending the mathematical model developed for non-Bayesian cases for Bayesian cases. The mathematical structure of the model is analyzed and it is used to prove that optimization of the model can be achieved by applying the solution method developed for non-Bayesian models directly. The effect of dependence patterns and the types of prior distributions on the design of sampling plans is also investigated through a computational study.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the rural landscape planning criteria for Korean rural area. For this, the meaning of rural landscape is defined, and the legislative framework and several legal processes are surveyed, including the deliberation system for natural landscape impacts and the Landscape Law recently legislated. Through literature studies and analysis, the rural landscape planning criteria are proposed, which have step-by-step processes; goals and objectives, analysis and estimation for present conditions, basic planning concept, landscape planning for different visual landscape types, landscape designing for visual elements, and practical action plans. Each processes are designed considering the existing legislative framework, so it can be well-matched to current systems. But, because there are few rural landscape plans so far, comparing to the urban landscape plans, the validity of this criteria should be verified in the future studies.

  • The motor show is the most popular show in domestic exhibitions. It provides many interesting events and exhibition programs from small parts of the car to luxury sedans. It should be spatially designed for not only display programs but also various other programs such as concerts or events. And it needs to approach strategic and complex plans for unique stand design because of a great number of visitors' safety and accomodation, and competition with other companies. S motor is the company of middle standing, producing the most luxurious sedans and SUVs. I had to find a display and space composition way to harmonize with luxurious sedans and outdoor vehicles in a booth. The booth had to be distinctive and unique inspite of relatively small and handicaped area compared with other companies' booths. So I designed two major plans; ceiling structure covered whole booth space and office space for staff. These plans could get completely majesty and unique design for booth, events and other programs. And the structure of booth was minimalized for visitors' safety and accomodation in great event time.

  • Traditionally, nurses keep the written patient records, which are referred as nursing care plan. Nursing care plan reports are one of the most important documents in the application of nursing processes. Typically, nurses prepare the plans by including general patient information as well as the patient's medical history information. In addition, the patient's developmental history and other specific health related information are part of the plans. The plans are usually concluded with the goals of the nursing care plan, nursing diagnoses, expected outcomes of the care, and possible nursing interventions. The nursing diagnoses, outcomes, and interventions are defined by North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA). This means that the nurses will select the appropriate diagnoses, outcomes, and interventions from an approved set. We developed a web-based nursing care plan generation system. In this paper, we report our work on developing a visual interface to the NANDA nursing diagnoses, outcomes, and interventions database as a part of the web-based nursing care plan generation system.

  • Mixed acceptance sampling plans for quantity of products in prepackages are widely used for compliance testing. To pass testing, random samples jointly comply with two legal requirements: (i) the average net content of an inspection lot shall be not less than the labelled quantity and (ii) the numbers of under-filled prepackages in a sample are less than or equal to permitted numbers. This paper discusses some drawbacks of the acceptance sampling plans and requirements recommended in OIML R87 (KS A 50087 translated by Korean) developed by the International Organization of Legal Metrology and evaluates the producer's and consumer's risks. In addition, problem of determining a target value in filling processes of prepackages under the OIML R87 requirements is addressed and illustrated with a numerical example.

  • This study is the seventh of series that have been interpreted as the view of regionalism for the block plans and floor plans of the traditional houses spreaded in Kyoung-Sang-Buck-Do Privince, and is investigated its subject in Sung-ju area. The purpose of study is to be analyzed the block types of the houses and the floor plans of An-chae(ladys inner house) and declared the typical case on the characteristics on each housing elements to Buk-Bi-Go-Teak on the conclusion. The block plan of the high-leveled traditional houses in Sung-ju area is typically the courtyard type that is opening at sides that 3 to 5 of I-shaped or L-shaped buildings are composed. The floor plan of An-chae is mostly typed I-shaped and its bay system is semi-lineal type(Teo-Kan-Gip).

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of court type in Urban Detached Houses. This study deals with single-unit Korean houses designed by architects, which are included in architectural periodicals and books published since 1980. The results of this study, the types of houses court plan are obtained from the mass of site and plans shape. There are five types which are Backyard type, Corridor type, Atrium type, Inner garden type, and Dae-chyung-ma-roo type. And 9 plans of Dae-chyung-ma-roo type house are shown in this paper. Especially, Dae-chyung-ma-roo type is outdoor space with over 2 door of the room and that is extended indoor space.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for a desirable bathroom planning of apartments. This study explores the changes of the bathroom planning and analyzes the bathroom plans of the existing apartments. The collected data are 197 cases of the bathroom plans of the apartments (area:10-69 pyung) constructed in Kangnam Gu. Seoul between 1973-1993. where 47.624 households live. This study consists of an overview on the changes of the bathroom planning by the decade and findings on the bathrooms and dressing rooms of the present apartments. The numbers, location, size and proportion of the bathroom and dressing room and the direction of the bathroom door are examined in turn. For the better planning of the bathroom. factors like family size, life cycle, and manner of bathroom use should be analyzed in the future studies. The analysis of the bathroom plans of the apartments in the entire city of Seoul maybe a prerequisite to them.

  • Load management programs was initiated in the 1970s to actively influence customer load in the United States. Generally, load management programs can be categorized into direct load control(DLC), indirect load control(IDLC), and energy storge system(ESS). The DLC allows the utilities to shed remote customer demand unilaterally Direct load control(DLC) has lately attracted considerable attention. This paper suggests efficient promoting plans of DLC, which has a lot of advantages. The importance of DLC will be increased more and more. Therefore, various studies of DLC activation plans have to be continued.

  • This study was to calculate the minimum food expenditure by using OR linear program, and to determine the food plans for different income values based on the recommenced dietary allowances(RDA) for Koreans. VAX 11/780 system was used in this study. There were 6 family models-single man, single woman, married couple, couple with one child, couple with 2 children and couple with 2 children & grandmother. The market price quoted in this study was from July 1989 to June 1990 and the data file was made from RDA & food composition tables. After the minimum food expenditure was calculated from the computer, the low cost food plan was set. From the low cost food plan, we set the moderate cost food plan 25% above the low cost and the liberal food plan 50% above the low cost. One week menu was planned for different food plans. The low cost food plan could be used not only at the institutional levels and at home but also used at the national food policy making for scientific budget planning and for nutritionally well balanced diet. These food plans could control the use of time and efforts, too.
