A planetary gear train is more compact and endures greater amounts of transmission power compared to other gear systems. Although planetary gear systems operate in small volumes, they are capable of very high efficiency due to the compact combination of their gears in the planetary gear system. They also have outstanding efficiency of only 3% for power transmission, tantamount to the power loss that occurs in each of the shift stages. Given these advantages, planetary gear systems are used in the driving systems of, which are widely used in automobile transmissions, machine tools, semiconductor equipment, and in other areas in industrial fields. Current structural equipment requires higher efficiency and greater torque levels. According to these needs, we have designed a complex planetary gear system which creates higher levels of torque. In this paper, an evaluation of strength designs for the proposed planetary gear system was conducted to ensure the stability of the gear. In addition, a durability analysis based on Miner's rule was performed using RS B 0095 device.
Various methods to improve the planetary gear noise in the vehicle were introduced. And planetary gear systems were analyzed Therefore a common thing among the different planetary gear systems which generate the gear noise in the vehicle was founded. Most importantly, a frequency versus vibration level map was introduced and a predictive method, which is considering the masking effect, to design the planetary gear sets in the concept design stage was described.
Planetary gear systems have several advantages over traditional gearboxes with parallel axis gear shafts. The planetary gearbox arrangement also creates greater stability due to the even distribution of mass and increased rotational stiffness. However, gears in planetary gear systems occasionally have a short-life due to wear and breakage by repetitive load during operation time. In this study, we evaluated variables of the strength design for each part and conducted structural analysis of seven cases of the planetary gear system. The result of structural analysis was applied to shape optimization method and obtaining the weight lightening designed value. Subsequently, the planetary gear system was performed to ensure the durability of gears during operation time with miner's rule.
In this paper, various methods to improve the planetary gear noise in vehicles were introduced. Those cases of improvement have been used as good guidelines and references to prevent planetary noise problems. In this research, different types of planetary gear systems were also analyzed. The consequences of those analysis said in common that the planetary gear set generating noise mainly is the one which takes power directly from the turbine. Furthermore, a frequency versus vibration level map was introduced to judge how to solve the noise problem quickly in a vehicle development process. Besides, it is provided a predicting method which planetary gear set most contributes to noise problem taking in the vehicle and how to design the planetary gear set robustly.
The distance distribution in our planetary system has been a controversial matter. Two kinds of important issues on Titius-Bode's relation have been discussed up to now: one is if there is a simple mathematical relation between distances of natural bodies orbiting a central body, and the other is if there is any physical basis for such a relation. We have examined, by applying it to exo-planetary systems, whether Titius-Bode's relation is exclusively applicable to our solar system. We study, with the $X^2$ test, the distribution of period ratios of two planets in multiple planet systems by comparing it with that derived from not only Titius-Bode's relation but also other forms of it. The $X^2$ value between the distribution of the orbital period derived from Titius-Bode's relation and that observed in our Solar system is 12.28 (dof=18) with high probability, i.e., 83.3 %. The value of $X^2$ and probability resulted from Titius-Bode's relation and observed exo-planetary systems are 21.38 (dof=26) and 72.2 %, respectively. Modified forms we adopted seem also to agree with the planetary system as favorably as Titius-Bode's relation does. As a result, one cannot rule out the possibility that the distribution of the ratio of orbiting periods in multiple planet systems is consistent with that derived from Titius-Bode's relation. Having speculated Titius-Bode's relation could be valid in exo-planetary systems, we tentatively conclude it is unlikely that Titius-Bode's relation explains the distance distribution in our planetary system due to chance. Finally, we point out implications of our finding.

This article describes the useful way to measure the torque and RPM of the geared motor. For this we have made the planetary geared reduction motor including 2 Hall sensors in it and the monitoring system. The monitoring system displays the sensing values (torque, rpm) and the calculated value (power) and it also has the network capability using the Bluetooth protocol. We will show that our solution is much more inexpensive and simple method to measure torque and rpm than before.
We investigate the degeneracy in the pattern of central microlensing perturbations of a pair of planetary systems where the planets are located from the primary with projected separations in units of the Einstein radius s and $s^{-1}$, respectively. From this, we confirm the fact that although alike, the patterns of central perturbations induced by a close (s < 1) planet and a wide (s > 1) planet are not identical and the degree of difference depends on the planet/primary mass ratio and the planet-primary separation. We find that the difference can be greater than 5% for planetary systems with lensing parameters located in the parameter space of (1/1.8 < |s| < 1.8, q > $5{\times}10^{-3}$), (1/1.3 < |s| < 1.3, q > $1{\times}10^{-3}$), and (1/1.2 < |s| < 1.2, q > $5{\times}10^{-4}$), where q represents the planet/primary mass ratio. Although this range occupies a small fraction of the entire parameter space of planetary systems, we predict that the chance of resolving the close/wide degeneracy would not be meager considering that the planet detection efficiency is higher for planets with resonant separations (s $\sim$ 1) and heavier masses. We also find that the differences between the perturbation patterns are basically caused by the effect of the planetary caustic. This explains the tendency of the perturbation difference where (1) the difference increases as the planet/primary mass ratio increases and the separation approaches the Einstein radius, (2) the region of major difference is confined within the region around the line connecting the central and the planetary caustics, and (3) a wide (close) planetary system has a more extended central perturbation region toward the (opposite) direction of the planet.
Thanks to high cadence monitoring and high photometric accuracy of Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet), we expect the detection of many events caused by wide-separation planets and free-floating planets, which is not easy due to the short event duration. Thus, it is important to understand wide-separation planetary lensing events. Several studies on the wide-separation events have been reported, but events caused by wide-separation planetary systems with a moon have not yet been studied. In this paper, we study the properties of events caused by planetary systems where wide-separation planets host a moon. We also study the effect of a finite background source star on the moon feature in the wide planetary-lensing events.

We study the photometric phase curves for the planets of our solar system which can be considered as a prototypical non-compact planetary system. We focus on modeling the small variations caused by three effects: reflection, ellipsoidal, and Doppler beaming. Theoretical predictions for these photometric variations are proposed, considering a hypothetical external observer. Unlike similar studies of multi-planetary systems, the physical and geometrical parameters for each planet of the solar system are well-known. Therefore, we can accurately evaluate the relationships that shape the planetary light curves for a fictitious external observer. Our results suggest that, for all planets, the ellipsoidal effect is very weak while the Doppler beaming effect (DBE) is, in general, dominant. In fact, the DBE seems to be the principal cause of variations of the light curves for the planets of the solar system. However, for Mercury and Venus the Doppler beaming and reflection effects have similar amplitudes. The phase curves obtained for the planets of the solar system show new interesting features of interest for the study of other non-compact planetary systems.
