Reliability Metrics Design and Verification for the Acquisition of Small and Mid-Sized Web Application (중소규모 웹어플리케이션 개발업체 신뢰성평가를 위한 신뢰도 메트릭의 설계 및 유효성 검증)

  • Software reliability prediction is a statistical method to put in place a timely software development practice useful for objective assessment of bidders. The current study suggests one research method that enables reliability assessment of such previous projects by studying user satisfaction and project management history. If incorporated into the existing acquisition process, the reliability assessment method will further enhance objectivity and accuracy in bidder selection process. The GQM(Goal Question Metric) paradigm was used to identify assessment metrics for bidder evaluation and questionnaires were collected from users to create user satisfaction indexes. In addition, 'weight of evidence', the most appropriate categorical method, was used to isolate attributes of each variable that may contribute to reliability assessment.

  • Guillain-$Barr{\acute{e}}$ syndrome(GBS) is a common demyelinating disease of the peripheral nervous system. But recently, the axonal types are also reported. Acute transverse myelitis(ATM) is also a common inflammatory disease of the spinal cord. Generally, it is difficult to identify the etiology of GBS and ATM. I guess the occurrence of the 2 diseases at once is hard to take the place. A 63-year-old woman showed an acute motor axonal GBS and a cervical-upper thoracic ATM occurring at the same time. She was treated by intravenous immunoglobulin and solumedrol therapy. Her sensory symptoms were improved rapidly but motor symptoms showed only mild improvement.

  • This paper confers about the implementation of Knowledge Management (KM) in the National Library of Bangladesh (NLB). The main aim of this study was to investigate how the NLB goes about creating, implementing, disseminating, and applying knowledge within the organization. The other objectives of this paper were to identify the current status of KM in NLB and the understanding of different facets of KM by the staff of the National Library. The paper revealed that the situation of KM in NLB is not satisfactory. The paper also described the fact that the working environment supports the implementation but there needs to be some changes in the policies. Finally the research disclosed that NLB is a great place for implementing KM and has a large amount of possibilities for the adoption of KM. This qualitative research used the questionnaire as the main instrument for data collection. Finally, data has been processed and analyzed using SPSS and MS Excel.

  • LTE/SAE has presented the handover key management to revoke the compromised keys and to isolate corrupted network devices. In this paper, we identify that the handover key management is vulnerable to so-called de-synchronization attacks, which is jeopardizing the forward secrecy of handover key management. We place an emphasis on periodic root key update to minimize the effect of the de-synchronization attacks. An optimal value for the root key update interval is suggested in order to minimize signaling load and ensure security of user traffic.

A Quantitative Model of System-Man Interaction Based on Discrete Function Theory

  • A quantitative model for a control system that integrates human operators, systems, and their interactions is developed based on discrete functions. After identifying the major entities and the key factors that are important to each entity in the control system, a quantitative analysis to estimate the recovery failure probability from an abnormal state is performed. A numerical analysis based on assumed values of related variables shows that this model produces reasonable results. The concept of 'relative sensitivity' is introduced to identify the major factors affecting the reliability of the control system. The analysis shows that the hardware factor and the design factor of the instrumentation system have the highest relative sensitivities in this model. T도 probability of human operators performing incorrect actions, along with factors related to human operators, are also found to have high relative sensitivities. This model is applied to an analysis of the TMI-2 nuclear power plant accident and systematically explains how the accident took place.

  • This study aims to explore and identify factors of respondent's on the definition of 'smart community facilities', their usage and satisfaction in Malaysia. Study carried out in four sites which were Kota Belud, Kemaman, Lundu and Putrajaya. Data was collected through qualitative method where interviews was carried out with several smart community members in answering factors that drives the usage/participation, satisfaction and continuance intention from using the 'smart community facilities'. Interpretation from the qualitative approach reveals that community thinks infrastructure, content and digital services will help to generate and build up 'smart community'. This will give the benefit for the whole community as well as improve individual efficiency, lifestyles and well-being. Findings demonstrated that the advance of Internet will enhance people usage on being 'smart' and efficient and it should be further improved with better infrastructures, systematic development with sophisticated digital technology services, facilities and structured content, and also safety-security measures in place.

The Effect of Air Pollution on Professional Sports in South Korea

  • Purpose: This study sought to explore the effects of air pollution on professional sports in South Korea. Research design, data, and methodology: The dependent variable, the number of attendances, was comprised of 2013-2017 K-league, 2015-2017 KBO, 2014-2017 KBL regular season games, resulting in 1,063, 2,121, 810 individual match-level observations, respectively. With the actual data collected from each place across the country, we created a categorical variable which identify the air quality index divided into four categories by K-eco (i.e., good, moderate, unhealthy, hazardous). To analyze data, ANOVA was employed. Results: First, there was a significant group effect on K-league attendance. Second, there was a significant group effect of KBO attendance. Lastly, there was a significant group effect on KBL attendance. Conclusions: Summary of above results showed that each professional sport leagues' attendance was significantly different depending on the levels of air pollution. Implications were also discussed.   • PPPs in international development cooperation can be challenging due limited capacities in the country, weaknesses in terms of policy and legislative frameworks, differences in mindsets, values, work ethics and hierarchical structures as well as cultural issues. These can lead to misunderstandings and implementation problems. However, a careful assessment of the situation on the ground, stakeholder analysis and needs assessment can help to identify potential bottlenecks and address capacity constraints that could slowdown operations. A sound understanding of local power dynamics and work practices can help to put in place an exit strategy which will enhance the projects' sustainability. Making sure that goals and objectives are understood in the same way by all partners, establishing an ongoing and respectful dialogue between them, as well as transparent implementation and monitoring mechanisms can also contribute to the PPP's success and increase the likeliness to make a difference in the lives of those in needs.

  • This study introduces a method of estimating the 3D coordinates of structural damage from the detection results of visual inspection provided in 2D image coordinates using sensing data of UAV and 3D shape information of BIM. This estimation process takes place in a virtual space and utilizes the BIM model, so it is possible to immediately identify which member of the structure the estimated location corresponds to. Difference from conventional structural damage localization methods that require 3D scanning or additional sensor attachment, it is a method that can be applied locally and rapidly. Measurement accuracy was calculated through the distance difference between the measured position measured by TLS (Terrestrial Laser Scanner) and the estimated position calculated by the method proposed in this study, which can determine the applicability of this study and the direction of future research.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of nursing organizational commitment and job satisfaction on intention of resignation of clinical nurses. The subjects of this study were clinical nurses who were working at general hospitals in Pusan and Taegu in Korea. The questionnaires were sent to 850 clinical nurses at 8 general hospitals and 790(92%) answers were replied. Data were collected from Oct. 4 to Oct. 30. The instruments of this study were scales for the measurement of nursing orgainzational commitment, job satisfaction and intention of resignation of clinical nurses. The Cronbach ${\alpha}s$ of the scales were .9385, .9232, .6847. After screening of data, 769 cases were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 10.0 program. The results of the study were as followings: 1. Average score of the nursing organizational commitment, job satisfaction and intention of resignation of the subjects were 48.50, 50.23 and 12.20. 2. There were significant differences in nursing organizational commitment, job satisfaction and intention of resignation by age, marital status, religions, education level, position, career, and work place. 3.
