  • This study tried to figure out the future network of Korean railways in the 21st century. We suggest some pictures about the future network of Korean railways in terms of passenger railway and freight railway and hope that our pictures contribute to establish 21st century rail network in Korea.

  • Financial institutions survive on the ability to collect and react to data. Today´s financial community is bombarded by massive amounts of information from real time data-feeds, risk management systems, and other intelligent sources. The large quantities of numerical data are virtually impossible to understand quickly. Humans have the ability to understand pictures instantaneously. Thus, by converting data into pictures, and using colour, size, shape, and pattern to define relationships, individuals can rapidly process complex Information.

  • This paper addresses traffic prediction issues on MPEG. A new adaptive traffic prediction scheme is proposed using MPEG picture characteristic that picture traffic depends on the coding mode of that picture, that is, I, P, and B mode. Our prediction scheme, which is based n picture decomposition (PD) and the cross-correlation of the different types of pictures, has better performance in predicting bursty MPEG traffic than that of the first-order autoregressive (AR) prediction scheme. Our simulation results show that the performance is further improved about 15% by utilizing the cross-correlations between pictures.

  • In this paper, we analyze the delay phenomenon that can occur when controlling an unmanned aerial vehicle using a camera and describe a solution to solve the phenomenon. The group of pictures (GOP) value is changed in order to reduce the delay according to the frame data size that can occur in the moving image data transmission. The appropriate GOP values were determined through experimental data accumulation and validated through camera self-test, system integration laboratory (SIL) verification test and system integration test.

  • Motion blur, which occurs when relative motion between a camera and an object exits, is inevitable in moving pictures. By this reason there have been many research results for reducing such motion blur, especially for spatially variant case. Int he present paper, an adaptive iterative restoration method is applied to reduce the irregular motion blur in the image.

  • In this paper, firstly, we work on the presentation of the crossed product of groups of general types. After that we find the generating pictures (Second Homotopy Group) of this product by looking the relations from a geometric viewpoint. Finally, we give some applications.
