  • This study analyzed the relationship between GPS-based physical activity patterns and mental health using Kaggle Student Life data. Data were collected over a 10-week period from 48 students at Dartmouth College through Android smartphones and included GPS, dark, and phone lock data, and measures such as the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Loneliness Scale, the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), and Perceived Stress Scale. Using latitude and longitude data obtained from GPS measurements, various physical activity indicators were calculated, including the total distance traveled, average distance traveled, average distance traveled in the morning, average distance traveled in the afternoon, average distance traveled in the evening, and average distance traveled in the middle of the night. Pearson's correlation analysis was performed to explore the relationship between GPS-based physical activity patterns and mental health. The study results indicated a significant negative correlation between the average distance traveled in the afternoon and PHQ-9 scores. Results indicated that the higher the afternoon activity, the lower the depressive symptoms. There was a positive correlation be-tween the PANAS-Pos score and the average distance traveled in the evening, indicating that positive emotions tended to increase as evening activities increased. This finding suggests a relationship between physical activity at specific times and mental health.

  • Physical therapists are exposured to radio-and microwave-frequency electromagnetic radiation by operating electrotherapy units. So there is few protection system in physical therapy room. Clinical pathology room and so on where various kins of electromagnetic instruments is used in hospital while protection failities like protection wall or protection glass is being used only in radiological room to reduce the damage of radiation. Acoording to Larsen's survey on female physical therapist in denmark. it was said that the percentage of congenital malfornation was $3.6\%$ and cadiac malformation made up $0.7\%$. It is likely that effect of electromagnetic fields on the result cannot be ruled out. Rita ouellet-Hellstron and Walter F. Steward insisted that the danger of abortion increase in the case of pregnant femeal physical therapist exposured to microwave diathermy. The intention of our study is arousing the necessity of microwave protection in P.T room and finding the proper method for physical therapist safe. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Each electrotherapy units are occurrenced the electromagnetic fields, and specially amply occurrenced in H.P,I.C.T 2 unit operating, M.W.D unit head on parallel, S.W.D unit head on parallel. all electrotherapy units are operating. 2. • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the correlations among the resting physical factors related to a six-minute walk test (6MWT) and to determine the effects of the resting physical factors on the distance and intensity related to the 6MWT in healthy female subjects. Methods: A total of 43 healthy female subjects ($22.84{\pm}3.90yrs$) participated in this study. They performed the 6MWT, and the physical factors related to the 6MWT were assessed. SPSS 20.0 was used to analyze the data, and the mean and standard deviation were calculated, and the collected data were analyzed by the Pearson's correlation coefficient (among physical factors related to 6MWT) and independent t-test (between six-minute walk distance [6MWD] groups and six-minute walk intensity [6MWI] groups). Results: The 6MWD had a significant negative correlation with the resting HR (beat/min) in healthy female subjects (r=-0.49, p<0.05). The 6MWI had a significant negative correlation with the resting systolic blood pressure (SBP) (r=-0.45, p<0.01). A comparison of the 6MWD revealed the long distance group (LDG, 700-799 m) to be significantly higher than the middle distance group (MDG, 600-699 m) in the 6MWI (%), %predicted distance (%), predicted VO2max (mL/kg/min), resting HR (beat/min), and resting SBP (mmHg)(p<0.05). In the comparison of 6MWI, the moderate intensity group (MIG, 64-75%HRmax) was significantly lower than the low intensity group (LIG, 50-63%HRmax) in the resting SBP (mmHg) (p<0.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that the resting physical factors are related to the 6MWD and 6MWI of the 6MWT in healthy females. In particular, SBP is associated with not only the 6MWD but also the 6MWI in 6MWT.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of modified vertical roll sling and conventional Bobath roll sling in reducing hemiplegic shoulder subluxation. Radiography of $40^{\circ}$ anterior oblique radiographic view' were taken, before and immediately after wearing each sling in 13 hemiplegic patients. The vertical distance. horizontal distance. and joint distance were measured. Analysis of radiographically measured distances showed that both modified vertical roll sling and Bobath roll sling decreased vertical, horizontal. and joint distances. Reduction in vertical and joint distances were significantly greater in modified vertical roll sling compared to Bobath roll sling. while horizontal distance showed no significant difference between the two slings. Therefore it can be concluded that modified vertical roll sling is an effective orthosis in reducing hemiplegic shoulder subluxation.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to compare differences in muscle activities according to distance changes, and success or failure in relation to approaches during a round of golf in order to obtain basic data on golf swings. Methods : To achieve our research goal, we asked eight professional golfers playing for the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (height: $1.76{\pm}0.05m$, weight: $73.87{\pm}9.21kg$, career duration: $12.87{\pm}4.48yr$) to perform approach swings at distances of 30, 50, and 70 m. Results : No differences were observed in the muscle activity of the extensor carpi radialis that were caused by the distance changes. In addition, we found that the wrist extensors seemed unaffected by the increase in approach distance. Also, we found that the powers of the approach shots were driven by efficient movements rather than by the strength of the arms. We confirmed that when the distance of the approach increased, the golfers should perform their back-swing tops and follow-through right from the right to the left pelvic limb. To achieve successful approach swings despite distance changes, golfers should first work on the activity of the erector spinae to prepare for rotatory power in the P1 section. Moreover, golfers should increase the activity of the erector spinae on the left when they need to deal with the distance improvements in the P2 and P3 sections. Conclusion : In the light of the discussion above, we may infer that despite approach distance changes during a round of golf, ideal swings can be realized by consistent activities of the wrist extensor muscles and improved performances of the pelvic limb muscles. Furthermore, this study suggests that golfers should improve the consistency of muscle activities in all the other body parts to achieve the ideal swing.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between physical factors (X-factor, X-factor stretch) and club factors (club speed, ball speed, club path, smash factor, vertical launch angle, spin rate, flight time, total length) during impact and it affect on the total distance of the ball during a golf driver swing. Background : There were not enough studies that analyzed the correlation between physical factors(X-factor, X-factor stretch) and club factors(club speed, ball speed, club path, smash factor, launch angle, spin rate, flight time, total length) during a purpose swing to increase total distance. Method : For this study, 9 right handed professional male golfers (KPGA) were chosen. The test subject group used their own drivers and each took a total of 10 swings. These swings consisted of 5 purpose swings to increase total distance and 5 normal swings. Results : The purpose swing to increase total distance showed larger physical factors(X-factor, X-factor stretch) compared to a normal swing however the results were not statistically significant. Total distance increased during a purpose swing as a result of ball and club speed. Conclusion : The results showed that club factors, ball speed and club speed contributed the most in affecting the total distance of the ball during a purpose swing.

  • Background: Exercise in the quadruped position is performed to improve body and shoulder stability. This study examined the muscle activity of the trunk muscles according to the distance of the weight shift when lifting one leg in the quadruped position. Methods: Ten healthy 20 to 40 years old males were tested as subjects. All subjects moved their body weight to 0, 5, and 10cm on the opposite side of the leg lifter while maintaining the quadruped position. The surface electrodes recorded the electromyography data during the one leg lifting. Results: As the weight shift distance was increased, there was a significant difference in muscle activity of both serratus anterior, multifidus and internal oblique muscles (p<.05). Left and right serratus anterior and right internal oblique were most activated when weight shift distance was 0cm (p<.05). Conclusion: Shoulder and lumbar stabilization exercises should be applied in the absence of a weight shift distance during quadruped exercise.
