Purpose: To evaluate the dose under lung block as a function of depth and the effectiveness of a block as a function of block width. Materials and Methods : Field size of mantle field was $22.8{\times}32.4cm^2.$ Dose distribution of the mantle field was measured with two dimensional water phantom system. To analyze the effectiveness of the lung block. central axis plane, 5cm off-axis plane, and 10cm off-axis plane were studied. Results: The dose under the lung block was recorded with maximum at the depth between 5cm and 10cm. In the central axis plane, dosimetric block width was $10-15\%$ less than physical block width. In the 5cm off-axis plane, dosimetric block width was $4-9\%$ less than physical block width. In the 10cm off-axis plane, dosimetric block width was $2\%$ less than physical block width. Conclusion: Depth dependence of the dose under the lung block was founded. Also, block width dependence of the lung block was founded. To induce the accurate relation between the physical block width and the 'effective' block width, it needs more detailed understanding of the variables involved.
Ferroelectric liquid crystal parameters, spontaneous polarization, and transition temperature were studied as a function of cell thickness. These parameters were found to increase with increasing cell thickness, but an exception was observed for the transition temperature in the case of a thin cell. A simple Landau model is presented to interpret the theoretical and experimental observations. The anomalous behavior is attributed to the electroclinic effect and is explained using the Landau model.
This paper convergent examined caregiver burden, depressive symptoms and health related quality of life of 226 caregivers of stroke patients, who had been hospitalized in 7 general hospitals located in Cheongju and Daejeon Metropolitan city. The quality of life was measured using SF-8, which is a short version of HRQoL. According to Multiple regression Analysis, dependence of a patient were important factors in the physical related quality of life. These results suggest that in order to improve the quality of life related to the physical health of the stroke patient's caregiver, the elderly long-term care insurance system and the caregiver system and the ward of the Ministry of Health and Welfare are expanded ward without a caregiver. There is a need to raise expectations for recovery through education and family support groups.
The dependence of CT scanning parameters on the CT number to physical density conversion from the CT image of CT and CBCT electron density phantom acquired by the CT scanner using in radiotherapy were analyzed by experiment. The CT numbers were independent of the tube current product exposure time, slice thickness, filter of image reconstruction, field of view and volume of phantom. But the CT numbers were dependent on the tube voltage and cross section of phantom. As a result, for physical density range above 0, the maximum CT number difference observed at the tube voltage between 90 and 120 kVp was 27%, and the maximum CT number difference observed between CT body and head electron density phantom was 15%.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of visual feedback on the postural control of stroke patients, by systematically varying conditions of visual feedback [eye-open condition (EO) vs. eye-closed condition (EC)], and base-support (both-side support, affected-side support, and unaffected-side support). In this study, we allocated 41 stroke patients with no damage in the cerebellum and visual cortex who can walk at least 10 meters independently, and 35 normal adults who have no experience of stroke to the control group. Both groups were asked to perform a "sit-to-stand" task three to five times, and their postural control ability was measured and compared in terms of asymmetric dependence (AD) instead of the traditional symmetric index (SI) in the literature. The results showed that although both subject groups maintained better postural control in the EO condition than in the EC condition, the patient group appeared to be more stable in EC than in EO when they were required to perform the task of the support condition given on the affected side. These results implied that visual feedback can impair stroke patients' postural control when it is combined with a specific support condition.
This study was carried out to investigate the collection Efficiency of mass in collector step at the different of physical gas characterization. This work has focused on the dependence of the collection efficiency of mass in the collector zone of a two-stage set up field with gas temperature T and the dew point tmeperature. To identify the dependence of the mass collection efficiency on the Bounded plate of the collector zone MP.k by the spectre electric resistance of dust $p_e$. and the relative humidify ${\varphi}$, 20 at- tempts have been made with three different gas temperature ($50{\circ}C, 80{\circ}C, 110{\circ}C$) at different dew point. At the specific electric resistance of dust $p_e$=$10^6{\Omega}m$ which relative humidity corresponds to $\phi$ > 15%, a easy rise of the sounded plate secluded dust mass share was measured atwain. As the result of the higher cohesion imprisonment power due to the adsorbtion of particle, the rinse of the relative humidity developed on the particle surface. Therefore, the collection efficiency of mass was not predominant the high temperature T in the collector zone, neither was the pecific ellectric resistance of dust dependent.
Catalytic activity such as conversion and selectivity on the phenol hydroxylation over TS-1 prepared by hydrothermal method and microwave heating method, respectively, was compared and discussed for understanding the dependence of solvent such as water, methanol, acetone, respectively, during phenol hydroxylation, with hydrogen peroxide. Basic physical properties such as XRD, EDS, SEM and $N_{2}$ adsorption/desorption were determined and compared. The relationship between catalytic activity and physical properties of TS-1 was explained.

In this paper, the physical and volume resistivity properties of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) for ultra-high voltage investigated due to temperature dependence, and the measurement of volume resistivity used to highmegohm meter is measured from 1 to 30 minutes when the each applied voltage, for example, DC 100[V], 250[V], 500[V] and 1000[V] is applied, according to the step voltage application method. From FT-IR spectrum as an analysis of physical properties, a strong absorption in wavenumbers 700 to 730[$cm^{-1}$ /], 1456[$cm^{-1}$ /] and 2700 to 3000 [$cm^{-1}$ /] observed by the methyl groups(CH$_2$). From the analysis of DSC, the crystalline melting points of the specimen observed in the temperature 60[$^{\circ}C$] and 106.58[$^{\circ}C$].

The purpose of this study was to identify correlations among the continence function, cognitive function, and activities of daily living(ADL) in elderly male patients with dementia in geriatric hospitals. The subjects were 64 patients aged 65 or above who were diagnosed with dementia among the hospitalized male patients in a geriatric hospital. For the subjects' cognitive function, a questionnaire developed for the Korean Mini Mental Status Examination(K-MMSE) was used. For the continence function and ADL, data were collected using a patient evaluation table. As a result, a lower level of cognitive function resulted in corresponding higher levels of dependence in all items of ADL except bathing(p<.05), and a lower level of cognitive function led to corresponding declines in the continence function(bowel control, bladder control)(p<.01). In addition, a higher level of dependence in ADL resulted in corresponding higher levels of difficulty in bowel and bladder control(p<.01). This study showed correlations among the cognitive function, ADL, and continence function of elderly men with dementia. The results of this study may be used as basic data for the management and treatment of hospitalized elderly male patients with dementia in geriatric hospitals.
The study was undertaken to determine the antagonism of the AP1700 on the development of nalbuphine-induced tolerance and physical dependence. AP1700 is an oriental drug preparationcomposed of 5 natural products and is known to have antinarcotic action with an oral dose of 250 mg/kg in rats. AP1700 significantly inhibits the development of antinarcotic action with an oral dose of 250 mg/kg in rats. AP1700 significantly inhibits the development of nalbuphine-induced physical dependence but does not the tolerance. Mitogen-activated protein kinase, which include extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), p38 and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK)/stress-activated protein kinase (SAPK) play critical roles in cell growth and survival and drug abuse. The level of pCREB was elevated in the hippocampus by the chronic treatment with nalbuphine, however, the elevation of pCREB was not inhibited by the AP1700 co-treatment. Interestingly, the level of pERK was decreased in the co-treatment with nalbuphine and AP1700 on the cortex and striatum. However, the level of nNOS and NR1 was not modulated by the treatment with nalbuphine or AP1700 on the cortex, hippocampus and striatum in the rat brain. These results suggest that the AP1700 could be used to ameliorate the nalbuphine withdrawal symptoms.
