The primary method of diagnosis in craniofacial deformity patient is used by gross inspection. So we studied the frontal photometric measurements for maxillofacial Korean normals 44 male and 48 female ages 19 to 20 years were selected from a group of 92 healthy Kyung Hee university students in Seoul.. The photograph were taken with the subject sitting in head position parallel with interpapillary plane to the floor. During taking pictures, facial anallyser by Obwegeser(Martin Co., Germany) was used for correct measurements. The results of this study was followed. 1. In the linear measurements, all values of males were longer than those of females but middle third height and lower third height, facial width and nasal width of males were longer than those of females in p<0.05 2. The difference between right and left angular and linear measurement was insignificant. 3. In the horizontal facial ratios, interocular distance and nasal width were longer and mouth width were smaller in korean than in american(p<0.05). 4. In the vertical ratios, korean women have shorter facial height of lower third comparing with facial height of middle third than american(p<0.05). 5. In the vertical facial ratios, korean have smaller proportion below the stomion in the lower third department than american. (p<0.05).
Supernovae (SNe) are well known as good cosmological distance probes owing to their brightness. Specifically, type Ia SNe contribute greatly to our understanding of acceleration of cosmic expansion. However, type IIP supernovae are the most common type of SNe and have been found out to a large redshift, so the application of these SNe as distance indicators is promising. IMSNG is a project for monitoring nearby galaxies (<50Mpc) to catch early light curves of transients and get inspections of their progenitors. The daily monitoring observation allows us to construct a dense light curve of SNe, too. In this talk, we present the light curves of two SNe IIP, SN 2014cx (NGC337) and SN 2017eaw (NGC6946), using our IMSNG data. A newly developed technique, the Photometric Color Method (PCM), employs only photometric data to estimate distances for SNe IIP. We present the distances to our targets measured through PCM and compare this to that of obtained via other methods.
We present photometric solutions of the 26,212 eclipsing binaries discovered in the LMC by Graczyk et al. (2011). They published that 70 percent of a total are detached systems. Another 25 and 5 percent are semi-detached and contact binaries, respectively. We discovered that 21 percent of 26,121 eclipsing binary stars are eccentric orbit systems. The binary star distribution in the LMC is different from those of the Galactic center direction (Bade window). It is very interesting that there are only 5 of 357 (2 percent) stars have eccentric orbit in the Galactic Center (Kang 2011). We selected the light curve of 18,274 detached systems. Then we estimated the fundamental parameters on the basis of their photometric solutions and the semi-major-axis (a) assuming the distance modulus to the LMC~18.50. We compared the estimated fundamental parameters with an empirical mass-luminosity relation and consistency between mass-radius relation base on stellar evolution model in the low metallicity (Z=0.008) by Bertelli et al. (2009). This method allows for independent determine of the fundamental parameters of the eclipsing binaries in the LMC without the radial velocity curves.
Measurement of the location of the baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) feature in the clustering of galaxies has proven to be a robust and precise method to measure the expansion of the Universe. The best constraints so far have been provided from spectroscopic surveys because the errors on the redshift obtained from spectroscopy are minimal. This in turn means that the errors along the line-of-sight are reduced and so one can expect constraints on both angular diameter distance $D_A$ and expansion rate $H^{-1}$. But, future surveys will probe a larger part of the sky and go to deeper redshifts, which correspond to more number of galaxies. Analysing each galaxy using spectroscopy, which is a time consuming task, will not be practically possible. So, photometry will be the most convenient way to measure redshifts for future surveys such as LSST, Euclid, etc. The advantage of photometry is measuring the redshift of vast number of galaxies in a single exposure, but the disadvantage are the errors associated with the measured redshifts. Using a wedge approach, wherein the clustering is split into different wedges along the line-of-sight ${\pi}$ and across the line-of-sight ${\sigma}$, we show that the BAO information can be recovered even for photometric catalogues with errors along the line-of-sight. This means that we can get cosmological distance constraints even if we don't have spectroscopic information.
The Main-belt asteroid (298) Baptistina (hereafter 'Baptistina') is regarded as an X- (or C-) type asteroid and the largest member of the Baptistina asteroid family. Its basic physical properties play an important role in understanding the rotational evolution and orbital dynamics of the Baptistina family. In this study, we determined the physical characteristics of Baptistina from the optical observations. We conducted BVRI and R band photometric observations from 2017 to 2021 for a total of 47 nights using the 0.5 - 2.0 m-class telescopes. As a result, the color indices of Baptistina were derived as, , and ; this result is consistent with the previous classification of Baptistina as an X- (or C-) type. We also determined absolute magnitude () and slope parameter () by using a simplified version of the IAU H & G function (Bowell et al. 1989) are mag and respectively. We calculated the effective radius of Baptistina of km considering the visual geometric albedo of 0.131 from the NEOWISE data. Using the light-curve inversion method, the sidereal rotation period of 16.224235 h and the 3D shape model with a pole orientation (,) were also determined. In this presentation we will introduce our observations and results, and also discuss about the physical properties of Baptistina asteroid family members such as color indices.

This paper presents a new approach of analyzing errors resulting from nonideal general-purpose lighting environment when the Photometric Stereo Method (PSM) is applied to estimate the surface-orientation of a three-dimensional object. The approach introduces the explicit modeling of the lighting environment including a circular-disk type irradiance object plane and the direct simulation of the error distribution with the model. The light source is modeled as a point source that has a certain amount of beam angle, and the luminance distribution on the irradiance plane is modeled as a Gaussian function with different deviation values. A simulation algorithm is devised to estimate the light source orientation computing the average luminance intensities obtained from the irradiance object planes positioned in three different orientations. The effect of the nonideal lighting model is directly reflected in such simulation, because of the analogy between the PSM and the proposed algorithm. With an instrumental tool designed to provide arbitrary orientations of the object plane at the origin of the coordinate system, experiment can be performed in a systematic way for the error analysis and compensation. Simulations are performed to find out the error distribution by widely varying the light model and the orientation set of the object plane. The simulation results are compared with those of the experiment performed in the same way as the simulation. It is confirmed from the experiment that a fair amount of errors is due to the erroneous effect of the general-purpose lighting environment.
Recently, stitching techniques are used for obtaining wide FOV, e.g., panorama contents, from normal cameras. Despite many proposed algorithms, the no objective quality evaluation method is developed, so the comparison of algorithms are performed only in subjective way. The paper proposes a 'Delaunay-triangulation based objective assessment method' for evaluating the geometric and photometric distortions of stitched or warped images. The reference and target images are segmented by Delaunay-triangulation based on matched points between two images, the average Euclidian distance is used for geometric distortion measure, and the average or histogram of PSNR for photometric measure. We shows preliminary results with several test images and stitching methods for demonstrate the benefits and application.
Red giant branch shape and the luminosity of horizontal branch on the (V-I)-V CMD are used to derive the metallicity the globular cluster NGC 5053. The metallicities of NGC 5053 derived by SMR method ([Fe/H]=-2.62$\pm$0.07) and the relation between[Fe/H] and $(V-I)_{0.g}$ ([Fe/H]=-2.50) are in good agreement with previously determined values. This result confirms that the morphologies of RGB and HB on the (V-I)-V CMDs can be good indirect photometric metallicity indicators of galactic globular clusters.

There are increasing number of optical sky surveys for time-series observations, aiming to discover either photometric variations(variable stars, microlensing, or transients) or astrometric variations(near-earth objects, trans-neptunian objects). Some surveys, including YSTAR, use a single filter in order to increase the survey efficiency. However, the traditional method of atmospheric extinction and standardization requires the measurement of source color in at least two passbands. (omitted)
