  • In the preparation of anion charged asymmetric ultrafiltration membranes by the conventional phase inversion method, several variables could be adjusted to control membrane permeations. The anion charged materials and its original polymer have good solubility in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone. The membranes having a hydrophilic property were less fouled the membrane prepared from the original polymer. The preparation conditions, operation conditions, and hydrophilicity of polymer have played an important role in determining the permeation properties of membranes.

  • In this article, we have examined the effect of fractional order parameter in a two-dimensional orthotropic magneto-thermoelastic solid in generalized thermoelasticity without energy dissipation with fractional order heat transfer in the context of hall current, rotation and two-temperature due to normal force. Laplace and Fourier transform techniques are used to obtain the solution of the problem. The expressions for displacement components, stress components, current density components and conductive temperature are obtained in transformed domain and then in physical domain by using numerical inversion method. The effect of fractional parameter on all the components has been depicted through graphs. Some special cases are also discussed in the present investigation.

  • Porous carbon electrode for electrosorption was prepared by a wet phase inversion method. Carbon slurry that was a mixture of activated carbon powder(ACP) and PVdF solution was cast directly upon a graphite sheet by means of a casting knife. Porous carbon electrodes were fabricated by immersing the cast film in pure water as a non solvent. Physical and electrochemical properties of carbon electrodes prepared with various ACP contents(50.0, 75.0, 83.3, 87.5, 90.0 wt %). From the SEM images we can verify that the electrode was porous. The average pore sizes determined for the electrodes fabricated with various ACP contents ranged from 72.7 to 86.4 nm and the size decreased as the ACP content increased. The electrochemical properties were characterized by cyclic voltammetry(CV) method. All of the voltammograms showed typical behavior of an electric double layer charging/discharging on the carbon surface. The capacitance increased with the ACP content and the values ranged from 2.18 F/cm$^2$ for 50 wt% ACP to 4.77 F/cm$^2$ for 90 wt% ACP.

  • Oil/water (O/W) nanoemulsions are effective vehicles to change the permeability of the skin. In this study, we focused on the preparation and characterization of nanoemulsion which serve as colloidal carriers for the dermal application of ceramide IIIB (CIIIB) and stratum corneum (SC) lipids such as cholesterol, and palmitic acid. In order to optimize the nanoemulsions, emulsification process conditions were conducted with regard to droplet size, nanoemulsion stability, and solubility of CIIIB. A decrease in droplet size was observed through emulsification temperature of $80^{\circ}C$ and phase inversion composition (PIC) method. CIIIB has low solubility in oil and water. When the concentration of CIIIB was increased, the droplet size of nanoemulsion was increased. When Lipoid S75-3 was added to the oil phase, the solubility of CIIIB increased, indicating some interactions shown in DSC measurements. CIIIB and SC lipids could be successfully incorporated in nanoemulsions without crystallization or physical instability. In conclusion, a stable nanoemulsion containing the SC lipids could be effective as an efficient moisturizing system for skin.

  • Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a natural lipid cofactor with antioxidant and anti-aging properties as cosmetic and food ingredients, involved in cellular energy metabolism. Here, nano-emulsions with CoQ10 were fabricated with lecithin, ethanol, oil, and sorbitan monostearate (Arlacel 60), as major components. Phase inversion emulsion method with ultrasonicator was utilized in producing CoQ10 solution, and stabilization effects from lecithin and ethanol and other diverse perturbation factors were evaluated over time. Physical properties of the emulsion were characterized such as its size, surface charges by zeta-potential, and the overall structures. Optimal concentrations of CoQ10 and Arlacel 60 were 0.8% and 3%, respectively, for producing the smallest sizes of nanoemersions in a 100 nm diameter with best morphology. No notable changes in the size were observed over 7 days from Ostwald ripening, when the concentration of Arlacel 60 was higher than 2%. Even after 270 days at room temperature, the size of nanoemulsions maintained as 115 nm in diameter, revealing only a 10% increase with high degrees of long termed stability and substantiality. In addition, changes in the surface potential occurred possible due to the flocculation effect on the nanoparticles.

  • Flat sheet microfiltration membranes were prepared with polysulfone (PSF), polyethersulfone (PES), and polyphenylsulfone (PPS) by an immersion precipitation phase inversion method. In this method, dimethyl formamide (DMF) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) were used as a solvent and a wetting polymer additive, respectively. 2-butoxyethanol (BE) was used as a nonsolvent additive catalyst to form pore. The morphology of membranes was investigated by scanning electron microscopy and micropermporometer. The permeability of the membranes was evaluated with the flux of pure water. When the BE was added, the pore size of membranes became larger than blank membranes. The changes in the morphology of membrane due to the BE addition depend on polymer structure. All membranes have similar mean pore size and porosity. The mean pore sizes of PSF, PES, and PPS membranes were 0.282, 0.330 $0.308{\mu}m$, respectively. The porosities of PSF, PES and PPS membranes were 68.5, 66.1, 66.4%, respectively. However, the PPS membrane showed higher pore density on surface and narrower pore size distribution than PSF or PES membrane does. As a result, the pure water flux of PPS membrane ($357L/m^2\;hr$) was higher than that of PSF ($196L/m^2\;hr$) or PES membrane ($214L/m^2\;hr$).

  • We report a simple method for determining photovoltaic constant and conductivities of any photorefractive crytals which have no inversion symmetry by utilizing the electric field dependence of non-phase-matched second harmonic generation. New theoretical expression for the electric field dependence of Maker fringes is derived and space charge field can be determined using this from the observed change of intensity of second harmonic wave. The photovoltaic constant, dark conductivity and photoconductivity are easily deduced from an analysis of the measured relaxation behavior of space-charge field at two different light intensities. We demonstrate this method for $LiNbO_3$ at 514.5 nm.4.5 nm.

  • The T-50 advanced trainer aircraft combines advanced aerodynamic features and a fly-by-wire flight control system in order to produce a stability and highly maneuverability. The flight control system both longitudinal and lateral-directional axes to achieve performance enhancements and improve stability. The T-50 employs the RSS concept in order to improve the aerodynamic performance in longitudinal axis and the longitudinal control laws employ the dynamic inversion with proportional-plus-integral control method. And, lateral-directional control laws employ the blended roll system both beta-betadot feedback and simple roll rate feedback with proportional control method in order to guarantee aircraft stability. This paper details the design process of developing lateral-directional control laws, utilizing the requirement of MIL-F-8785C and MIL-F-9490D. And, this paper propose the analysis of aircraft characteristics such as dutch-roll mode, roll mode, spiral mode, gain and phase margin about gains for lateral-directional inner loop feedback.

  • Acute Mastitis(急性乳腺炎=乳癰) is an acute suppurative disease appearing in the breast. It is mostly caused by galactostasis, the stagnation of liver-qi(肝鬱) and stomach-heat(胃熱). It is mostly found in breast feeding women, mostly in primiparae. It usually appears in the third and the fourth weeks of postpartum. At the beginning in the chest there appear induration, distending pain, galactostasis, inversion to cold with fever followed by the enlargement of the masses, burning red, megalgia, not subduing of chills and fever, the accumulation of it to form pus. In the early phase it is advisable to follow the therapeutic principles of soothing the liver and clearing away heat, promoting lactation and subduing swelling. After the formation of pus it is advisable to cut radially and drain the pus. External Therapy(外治法) generally refers to all the methods to treat various diseases and symptoms with application of drugs and manipulation or together with proper instruments on the body surface except the method of taking medicine orally Acute Mastitis has been regarded as surgery or the method of taking medicine orally But, based on many bibliographies, acute mastitis was treated by external therapy. Thus through the historical bibliographic studies of external therapy about acute mastitis, this study was made to help the expanding of the methods of treating acute mastitis.
