  • This paper develops phase sensitive detector for diagnosis of distribution transformers. And to detect the $tan{\delta}$ more effectively, this paper used phase sensitive detector. The sensor in oil which could be placed inside of the distribution transformer can measures the $tan{\delta}$ in oil. This could be the important factor and information, and it could be used for the basic information for a precise diagnosis. Establishment of the proposed system helps to build the confidence in monitoring of the oil-filled transformers.

  • The focus of this study was to investigate the suitable analytical methods for measurement of sulfamerazine and its metabolite in shrimp hepatopancreas and tail tissue, in addition to the methods for the optimization of solid-phase extraction cartridge conditions and the elucidation of sulfamerazine concentrations in aqueous buffer using HPLC with UV and EC detectors. Compared with UV detector the EC detector appears to be 10 times more sensitive than that of the UV detector. After the shrimp was exposed to 10 ppm sulfamerazine, the accumulation levels of sulfamerazine and its metabolite in tail tissue, which is edible portion, were considerably lower than 0.1 ppm. The data indicate that sulfamerazine continues to be a candidate for use at levels of sulfamerazine concentration used in aquaculture of shrimp.

  • This paper describes the development of a three-phase line-interactive DVR with a new sag detection algorithm. The developed detection algorithm has a hybrid structure composed of an instantaneous detector and RMS-variation detectors. The source voltage passes through the sliding-window DFT and RMS calculator, and the instantaneous sag detector. If an instantaneous sag is detected, the RMS variation detector-1 is selected to calculate the RMS variation. The RMS variation detector-2 is selected when the instantaneous sag occurs under the operation of the RMS variation detector-1. The feasibility of the proposed algorithm is verified through computer simulations and experimental work with a prototype of a line-interactive DVR with a 3kVA rating. The line-interactive DVR with the proposed algorithm can compensate for an input voltage sag or an interruption within a 2ms delay. The developed DVR can effectively compensate for a voltage sag or interruption in sensitive loads, such as computers, communications equipment, and automation equipment.

  • This paper Presents a discussion on the design and realization for the Phase Sensitive Defector (PSD) circuitry of Flu$\chi$-gate Compass that gives direction information to the Directional Frequency Analysis and Recording (DIFAR) Sonobuoy in Air Anti-Submarine Warfare. PSD circuitry is realized with Twin-T RC networked active band-pass filter. Results of a performance test the PSD circuitry shows that the effectiveness of band-pass filtering of desired $2F_0$ second harmonic signal, which is Pro- portional to the direction of earth's magnetic field. This resulted in the extraction of direction information.

  • A simple. specific and sensitive method for the determination of cyclosporine A (CsA) in human serum has been developed by a high performance liquid chromatography/diode array detector (DAD) and applied to pharmacokinetic study of CsA. This method involves the use of solid phase extraction procedure following rapid protein precipitation with zinc sulphate from 1 $m\ell$ of human serum, using a disposable $C_{18}$ extraction cartridge. • The fundamental digital control of utility-connected PV inverter are presented with detailed analysis and simulation and experimental results. PLL controller using virtual two phase detector, current controller of DC-DC converter, dc link voltage controller and inverter current controller are discussed. The novel PLL controller using virtual two phase detector can detect the information of utility voltage instantaneously and is not sensitive to the noise. Current controller of DC-DC converter, dc link voltage controller and inverter current controller are the conventional methods. We have constructed utility-Connected PV Inverter and applied to those controllers. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate an excellent performance in the single-phase grid-connected operation.

  • Bretylium tosylate is a quaternary ammonium compound used for the treatment of ventricular fibrilation in humans. It is advantageous to other cationic compound in the study of biliary excretion in that negligible amount is bound to plasma protein and metabolite is not likely is to be formed. Some researchers reported that the formation of ion-pair complex caused to increase the lipothilicity of cationic compound. The partition of bretylium between water and organic phase was increased with the addition of sodium taurodeoxycholate. Also sensitive gas chromatographical assay procedure using flame ionization detector was studied. This procedure can detect as low as 0.1 mg/ml using 0.1 ml biological sample, but contamination by previous injection is the major problem of this method.

  • A simple and sensitive method was studied for the simultaneous determination of catecholamine, indoleamine and their related metabolites by high performance liquid chromatography with electrochemical detector. Norepinephrine, dopamine, serotonin and their metabolites of 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid, homovanillic acid, 5-indoleacetic acid were resolved from rat brain tissue homogenates by separation on reversed phase $C_{18}$ column with mobile phase consisting of monochloroacetate buffer (pH2.47), 1.42mM sodium octyl sulfonate and 7% acetonitrile. Both catechols and indoles can be eluted in 15min. The sensitivities of this method are sufficient for determination of at least 100 pg of neurochemical amines in brain samples, for example, frontal cortex, olfactory bulb, striatum, septum, hippocampus, thalamus, hypothalamus, medulla & pons and cerebellum. The highest level of dopamine was observed in striatum whereas norepinephrine and serotonin were in hypothalamus.

  • The a.c. technique is employed to evaluate electrochemical characteristics of Naphthalie-1,4,5,8-tetracarboxylic acid bisanilide (NTB). The measurements were carried out in dry and pure propionitrle (PCN) and acetonitrile(CAN) at the hanging mercury drop electrode [HMDE). An A.C. phase sensitive detector using computer controlled lock-in amplifier was employed. Primary goal of this report, was to establish on a firm the rare behavior of the phase angle associated with a.c. polarograms of the compound. Although, not an initial goal of this study, the electron transfer rate parameters attending the electroreduction of the compound under investigation were determined. This because the results shed some light on the electrokinetics in aprotic solvent which until recently negligible data were available. Experimental Results and comparison of data obtained are reported. The good precision of the method makes it suitable for studying electrochemical data with unusual behavior at electrodes in non aqueous media.
