위화의 『18살에 떠나는 길』에 대한 성장소설적 독법 - '탈국가'의 성장서사적 의미를 중심으로 (A Study on WiHua's Road Leaving at 18 Years - as a Meaning of Typical Growth Story)

  • Every country has a dark history in the process of transition to a modern state. Many countries have until the 21st century, especially in East Asia, colonialism, has experienced conflict influenced, racial discrimination, the trauma of such massacre. Such a dark history in many countries are also still in progress. Dark History of China, which maintains the proletarian dictatorship is the 'Cultural Revolution(Wenhua da Geming)'. 'Cultural Revolution' is neither the outer aspect of the ideological struggle, but in fact it was not even class struggle ideology and class struggle. Put an end to the feudal intellectuals in China in the course of the tragedy stood and lead to build a new China suffered the humiliation of being betrayed from state power. Chinese writers after the 'Cultural Revolution' ended, was created in the process of creation reflects the tragedy of the 'Cultural Revolution' in the country(national memory) is suffering from the pain and suffering the same growth process as it saw this novel growth experienced in the personal growth process. "Road leaving at 18 years" of WiHua has ruled out the pain of growing national attention wholly to personal growth and pain. Such "Road leaving at 18 years" in the sense suggests the possibility of a typical growth story in China Contemporary Literature.

온라인 개인 게임 방송의 스토리텔링 분석 (Analysis of Storytelling in On-line Personal Game Broadcasting)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 온라인 개인 게임 방송에 나타난 스토리텔링의 요소 및 특징을 분석하고, 이를 통해 온라인 개인 게임 방송의 특이점을 도출하는데 있다. 이를 위해 국내외 온라인 개인 게임 방송의 대표적 사례로 유튜브 채널 와 <대도서관TV>를 연구대상으로 선정하고, 바흐친의 카니발 이론을 적용하여 방송의 스토리텔링을 분석했다. 그 결과 온라인 개인 게임 방송은 외부적으로는 매스 미디어의 방송 포맷을 변형했고, 내부적으로는 게임 텍스트 및 게임 환경을 재해석하는 과정을 거쳐 새로운 서사적 사건을 구성했다. 이 과정에서 방송 진행자 특유의 다성적 발화가 나타났으며, 비극과 희극을 역전을 통해서 오디언스로부터 카타르시스를 불러 일으켰다.

브라운부인의 『시간들』: 마이클 커닝햄이 재현한 『댈러웨이 부인』 (Mrs. Brown's The Hours: Michael Cunningham's Represented Mrs. Dalloway)

  • Patricia Waugh once regarded modernism fiction as 'the struggle for personal autonomy' against the opposition existing social institutions and conventions. Michael Cunningham's characterizations of Virginia Woolf and Septimus in The Hours show the two contrasting reactions to individual alienation and mental dissolution in the modern era. As the personifications of endurance and self-destruction against the mechanical power of contemporary world, Woolf and Septimus consist of just the world of diptych where the woman's role is confined to the angel in the house. By creating Mrs. Brown based upon his own alienated mother image, however, Cunningham succeeds in representing the more dramatically vivid world of triptych where woman can have her own room and self-realization despite still facing the dilemma of the traditional family. Accepting Joycean Bloom's optimistic and relaxing way of life in part, Mrs. Brown connects the labyrinths between the author's (and also Richard's) alienation with the theme of celebration of the life. Clarissa in postmodern New York setting is still a concealed and mystified character. Similar to Mrs. Dalloway, on the one hand Clarissa watches other people's tragedy with compassion. Cunningham's Clarissa, on the other hand, is no longer seeking for either winning or defeat in the spectacular world unlike her predecessors. In many resilient attitudes of everyday life Clarissa is closest to Mrs. Brown whom Virginia Woolf originally hopes to describe. Without any fear or rage toward the society Clarissa witnesses and achieves "the humanity, humour, depth" of female values by successfully turning the trivial life into an epic journey.

전쟁의 기억: 전재에서 자연재해로 - 6.25전쟁기 회화 작품에 나타난 피난 이미지 (The Memory of War : from War Damages to Natural Disaster -The Evacuation Image Portrayed in Korean War Painting)

  • The memory of the Korean War is about the time period when people lived toughly during evacuation, due to being exposed to the natural climate such as intense cold or heat without any protection, leaving their comfortable home and living in temporary built shelters which were barely enough to avoid the wind. 'Death is concealed and only the figures of evacuation for survival were expressed, just as how the government ordered. Since the experience of the battlefield is personal and fragmentary, that is broken into pieces, it does not have compatibility. As war is a distorted experience that cannot be placed in a big picture, it is not possible to take a view of the war's big picture. Having this individualized experience as a common collective memory is an issue and it is the will that people tries to pursue. The reason why the evacuees from north to south, and as well as from the south to further south were all able to be adopted as the theme of artworks due to the military action that emptied the occupied territories of the North Korean Army under the forced removal command. In such situations, the natural state of the 'snow' was like a symbol of the 1.4 Recession. The group of people who were thrown into the intense cold displaced the war damage of loosing their base livelihood, and symbolized the obedient citizens who faithfully follow their government's command. The figure of advocating anti-communism is projected as a figure of a refugee during cold winter-time and it contains ones past which he or she obeyed its own country's commands. Evacuation, especially the evacuation during the winter is a visual device that can confirm these kinds of country's command. The consequences were same for the artists as well. Therefore, the situation being communal could be found due to the individual experiences during war are ideological. The image of the refuge shown in the picture played the role of strengthening the consciousness of defecting to South Korea into the meaning of the 'Finding Freedom.' I would like to express that the reason of them leave their home during the harsh winter is in order to avoid the oppression of the Communist Party. The evacuation that people went through was not to 'Finding Freedom', but 'To Survive'. Later, this evacuation has been imprinted as a behavior of choosing free Republic of Korea, which was an ideological issue. Anti-communism was the rule of survival in South Korea society, and people have the tendency to remember what they want to remember. As it is not the people who possesses an incident, but the memory that possesses ones, people cover their memory with disguised plots in order to forget the violence and to live a different prologue. They share the incident of violence as a hurtful memory. The tragedy of the Korean War was the result of Ideology and being in between the powerful nations' rights, but the violence during the war has been depicted as a natural disaster, which was the evacuation in heavy snow.

삼대록계 국문 장편소설에 나타난 가족치료양상 연구 - 보웬의 이론에 근거하여 - (Three-generation stories of the Joseon Dynasty, A Study on the Aspects of Family Therapy)

  • 이 논문에서는 보웬의 가족치료 이론의 관점에서 삼대록계 국문 장편소설의 서사를 분석하였다. 보웬은 가족 내에서 문제를 일으키는 개인의 행동을 설명함에 있어 자기분화와 불안이라는 두 변인을 사용하였는데 이들 작품에서 문제나 갈등이 표출된 가정의 경우, 문제의 중심에 자아 미분화된 인물이 존재하였다. 자아가 미분화된 인물들은 적장자 위주의 가족 관계에서 소외될 때 극도로 불안감을 느꼈으며, 불안을 해소하고 가족 관계에서 자신의 입지를 확고히 하기 위해 자아 미분화된 인물들끼리 연대의식을 강하게 발휘하였다. "소현성록"과 "조씨삼대록" 연작의 가정 내 문제 발생의 구조와 양상은, '자아 미분화된 어머니와 자아 분화된 아들, 자아 분화된 어머니와 자아 미분화된 아들, 자아 미분화된 어머니와 자아 미분화된 아들'로 세분화할 수 있다. 서사 전개 방식에 있어 이들 간의 공생 관계 성립과 미성립, 치료자의 존재 양상 등이 달랐으며, 그에 따라 자결하는 아들, 처형당하는 아들, 회개를 통해 거듭나는 아들로 나뉘어졌다. 서술상의 전개나 구조는 무엇보다 치료자 존재 유무에 따라 달라졌다. 자아 미분화된 어머니와 자아 미분화된 아들의 경우, 가족 내에 치료자가 존재함으로써 가족문제는 해결되고, 문제를 일으킨 아들은 회개하여 거듭나는 아들이 된다. 그러나 자아 미분화된 어머니와 자아 분화된 아들, 자아 분화된 어머니와 자아 미분화된 아들은 가정 내 치료자 부재로 각각 아들이 자결하고 처형되는 비극이 빚어졌다. 이처럼 보웬의 가족 치료 이론을 적용하여 삼대록계 국문 장편소설을 분석했을 때 가정에서 발생한 갈등이나 문제에 대해 개인의 차원이 아니라 가족 간의 관계 차원에서 조망이 가능하였다. 즉 가정 내의 심각한 갈등과 문제는 어느 한 개인의 인성이나 욕망이 아니라 가족 제도 자체에 근본 원인이 있었다. 그리고 가족 치료자의 유무에 따라 서사의 전개 양상이 크게 달라졌는데 그의 역할에 따라 나머지 가족의 안위와 평화 여부가 결정됨으로써 삼대록계 국문 장편소설에서 남성의 수신은 중요한 서사축을 형성하고 있음도 알 수 있었다. 이처럼 삼대록계 국문 장편소설 속의 문제 상황을 한 개인의 욕망 혹은 인성에 국한하지 않고 가족 전체의 차원에서 살피고 심리학적 외재적 접근을 통하여 삼대록계 국문 장편소설의 주요 서사인 여성수난담의 배경에 대해 접근한 것에 의의를 두고자 한다.
