  • In IoT(Internet of Things) environment, users want to receive customized service by users' personal device such as smart watch and pendant. To fulfill this requirement, the mobile device should support a lot of functions. However, the miniaturization of mobile devices is another requirement and has limitation such as tiny display. limited I/O, and less powerful processors. To solve this limitation problem and provide customized service to users, this paper proposes a collaboration system for sharing various computing resources. The paper also proposes the method for reasoning and recommending suitable resources to compose the user-requested service in small device with limited power on expected time. For this goal, our system adopts MBTI(Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) to analyzes user's behavior pattern and recommends personalized resources based on the result of the analyzation. The evaluation in this paper shows that our approach not only reduces recommendation time but also increases user satisfaction with the result of recommendation.

  • Wearable potentiometric sensors have attracted significant attention in advancement in personal healthcare devices and diagnostics due to their remote, non-invasive, and continuous monitoring of health-related signals during daily activities. All-solid-state ion-selective electrodes have promoted practical applications, offering ease of operation, rapid measurement, and low energy consumption. Here, this review describes the principles, structure, and characterization of a potentiometric sensor based on the guidelines of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). Wearable sensor applications to detect various electrolytes in sweat samples were also discussed, along with their challenges and future opportunities to improve the reliability and accuracy of sensor readings.

  • The degradation of 30 pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) subjected to $O_3$, $O_3$/UV, and $O_3/H_2O_2$ treatments were investigated using semi-batch tests and evaluated by their pseudo-first-order rate constants. The additional application of UV or $H_2O_2$ during $O_3$ treatment significantly improved the degradation rate of most of the PPCPs. At the same $O_3$ feed rate, $O_3$/UV treatment exhibited much higher PPCP degradation efficiency than that of $O_3$ treatment. This was probably due to degradation of the PPCPs by $O_3$, direct UV photodegradation, and OH radicals that formed from the photodegradation of $O_3$ during $O_3$/UV treatment. PPCP degradation by $O_3$ was also promoted by adding $H_2O_2$ during the $O_3$ treatment. However, when the initial $H_2O_2$ concentration was high during $O_3$ treatment, OH radicals were likely to be scavenged by excess $H_2O_2$, leading to low PPCP degradation. Therefore, it is important to determine the appropriate $H_2O_2$ dosage during $O_3$ treatment to improve PPCP degradation when adding $H_2O_2$ during $O_3$ treatment.

  • Vertex shader of GPU in personal computer is advanced in functions as to be half of traditional fixed T&L functions. And, capacity of memory for saving resources to process instructions is unlimited. GPU that can be programmed by programmer is needed for mobile system as well as personal computer. In this paper, we implement software virtual machine for vertex shader using C++ Language. Our goal is designing hardware GPU that can apply to mobile system. The virtual machine consists of nVidia GPU instructions. Input Data to virtual machine is generated by Microsoft fxc compiler. That is to say, Input Data is compiled shader program written in HLSL, Cg, or ASM. The virtual machine will be a reference model for designing hardware GPU and can be used for Testbed to test added or modified instruction.

  • It is a recent trend that mobile communications and PCS are intergrated into the broadband network. Broadband mutlimedia traffic will be transported over the integrated network. In this paper, we propose a connection re-routing method for fast inter-switch hadoffs and dynamic resurce reservation scheme, which is based on the proposed re-routing method, for the ATM-based personal communications network. To reduce the delay for re-routing method, for the ATM-based personal communications network. To reduce the delay for re-routing, the proposed re-routing method is to reserve VPI/VCIs for possible inter-swich handoff calls in advance. Our reservation scheme is to statistically reserve the fixed resources for possible inter-switch handoff calls, according to the QoS of the handoff calls. The simmulation reslts show that our proposed scheme satisfies the required QoS of handoff calls and keep the dropping probability of handoff calls lower than other schemes.

  • Structural analysis of large-scale structures involving large amount of computational load and data storage requires high-performance computing resources. We have previously developed PC-level distributed structural analysis algorithms based on substructuring technique where each personal computer assigned to a slave node has been involved in the computations for single substructures. Recently, it has been proved by the authors that the performance of distributed structural analysis algorithm can be further enhanced by changing substructuring schemes. Therefore a new distributed structural analysis algorithm with one PC to multiple substructures scheme is presented in this paper. The algorithm is implemented on the network of multiple personal computers and applied to structural analysis of two dimensional frame structures.

  • This research has a purpose to examine the actual conditions of natural dyeing program as a personal learning experience, participants' characteristics and common people's interest on natural dyeing nowadays. To examine the actual conditions of natural dyeing center and programs, many web sites and newspapers dealing with natural dyeing were used as main resources. As common people's interest on natural dyeing increased, there were a lot of natural dyeing centers in around country. To examine the interest on natural dyeing and the participants' characteristics of natural dyeing program, the data was obtained from a convenient survey of 326 respondents over 15 years old during 15th, May~30th, July in 2006. Almost 40% of respondents were interested in natural dyeing, but only 19% of respondents had ever participated in natural dyeing experience program. The participants' characteristics such as motivation, participating time, dyeing sources and materials, etc. were examined. Almost 65% of respondents were satisfied with natural dyeing experience. As long as people have interest on natural dyeing, Industrialization of natural dyeing will be advanced.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of the Family Resilience Enhancement Program (FREP) on family hardiness, family sense of coherence, family problem solving communication, family crisis oriented personal evaluation, and adaptation in families of patients with chronic schizophrenia. Methods: The study design was a nonequivalent control group prepost test design. Study participants were 17 families in the experimental group and 17 in the control group. Ten sessions of FREP were provided over 5 weeks. The data were analyzed using SPSS 15.0. Results: There were statistically significant differences in family hardiness, family sense of coherence, family problem-solving communication, family crisis-oriented personal evaluation, social resources, and family adaptation between the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion: FREP based on the family resilience model developed in this study, shows the effect of leading the families to positive family adaptation.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine dimensions related to effective managerial actions in association with effects of resourcefulness personal and managerial communications and condition s for effective home management on the basis of managerial process. Including elements of managerial process conditions for effective home management were divided into the four factors performance-condition dichotomy timing high level and middle range. In conclusion first the managerial process for effective management can be classified into the four conditions related to each other. That was termed as 'conditions for effective home management' Second the most influential variables on conditions for effective home management were personal and managerial communication. The four conditions for effective home management need to include communicaion. Third resuorcefulness was a crucial factor in relation to home management resources division. It is recommedned that resuorcefulness needs to de elop managerial actions of housewives.
