  • Recently, increasing use of big data have caused regulation factors of personal information and combination of pseudonymized information to emerge as key policy measures. Therefore, this study empirically analyzed the mediating effect and moderating effect of pseudonymized information combination as the third variable in the relationship between regulation factors of personal information and big data utilization. The analysis showed the following results: First, among personal information regulation factors, definition regulation, consent regulation, supervisory authority regulation, and punishment intensity regulation showed a positive(+) relationship with the big data utilization, while among pseudonymized information combination factors, non-identification of combination, standardization of combined pseudonymized information, and responsibility of combination were also found to be in a positive relationship with the use of big data. Second, among the factors of pseudonymized information combination, non-identification of combination, standardization of combined pseudonymized information, and responsibility of combination showed a positive(+) mediating effect in relation to regulation factors of personal information and big data utilization. Third, in the relationship between personal information regulation factors and big data utilization, the moderating effect hypothesis that each combination institution type of pseudonymized information (free-type, intermediary-type, and designated-type) would play a different role as a moderator was rejected. Based on the results of the empirical research, policy alternatives of 'Good Regulation' were proposed, which would maintain balance between protection of personal information and big data utilization.

  • Recently, as cloud services become popular with general users, users' information is freely transmitted and received among the information used in the cloud environment, so security problems related to user information disclosure are occurring. we propose a method to secure personal information of multiple users by making personal information stored in the cloud server and a key for accessing the shared information so that the privacy information of the multi users using the cloud service can be prevented in advance do. The first key used in the proposed scheme is a key for accessing the user 's personal information, and is used to operate the information related to the personal information in the form of a multi - layer. The second key is the key to accessing information that is open to other users than to personal information, and is necessary to associate with other users of the cloud. The proposed scheme is constructed to anonymize personal information with multiple hash chains to process multiple kinds of information used in the cloud environment. As a result of the performance evaluation, the proposed method works by allowing third parties to safely access and process the personal information of multiple users processed by the multi - type structure, resulting in a reduction of the personal information management cost by 13.4%. The efficiency of the proposed method is 19.5% higher than that of the existing method.

  • This study investigated the relationship between privacy policy awareness and willingness to provide personal information. Online privacy policies published on the Internet aim to build the trust of consumers and reduce their concerns about the provision of providing personal information. This study uses FIP(FIP; Fair Information Practices) principles to measure awareness of privacy policy. The result of the survey indicates significant relationships among awareness of privacy policy of e-commerce websites, privacy trust, and privacy risk. Privacy policy aims to improve transparency of collection and use of personal information. A high level of privacy trust is related to a high level of willingness to provide personal information on an e-commerce website. A low level of privacy risk is related to a high level of willingness to provide personal information on an e-commerce website. This study found that disposition to trust moderates the relationship between privacy policy awareness and privacy trust. This study contributes to further research on the relationships among privacy policy awareness, privacy trust, and privacy risk. The result of this study can be used by companies that aim to build privacy trust and reduce privacy risk.

  • The primary purpose of this study is to examine the effects of perceived characteristics on user satisfaction and continuous usage intention in personal communities. We developed a research model based on the literature reviews of personal communities, TAM, perceived risks, and satisfaction. The research model includes perceived playfulness, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and perceived risk as perceived characteristics in personal communities. For validation of this theoretical model, we survey the users of 'Mini-hompy', one of the most popular personal communities in Korea. The research model was empirically verified by structural equation model analysis with data collected from 407 samples. Analysis of the results indicates that perceived ease of use is positively related perceived playfulness and perceived usefulness. Perceived playfulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived risks are significantly related to satisfaction. User's satisfaction has positive relationship with continuous usage intention in personal communities.

  • This article analyses frame transition of personal information leakage in Korea from 1984 to 2014. In order to investigate the transition, we have collected newspaper article's titles. This study adopts classification, text network analysis(by co-occurrence symmetric matrix), and clustering techniques as part of social network analysis. Moreover, we apply definition of centrality in network in order to reveal the main frame formed in each of four periods. As a result, accessibility of personal information is extended from public sector to private sector. The boundary of personal information leakage is expanded to overseas. Therefore it is urgent to institutionalize the protection of personal information from a global perspective.

  • Since the Personal Information Protection Act was enacted in 2011, it has played a role in safely protecting people's personal information and protecting their rights. Personal information controller must comply with the duty of safeguards for safe personal information management. Even though administrative regulation is an accompanying issue, it is not clear to whom, when and how it applies. According to the imposition of duties, the scope, standards, safety measures, procedures, etc. for the target person should be clearly and specifically specified, but the current legal system is insufficient .In this study, problems and reasonable improvement plans were presented for the classification criteria for applicable subjects, the criteria for the criteria for determining the targets, and the criteria for measures to ensure safety. Through this, we intend to contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of the system by presenting reasonable measures by clarifying and specifying the scope and standards of application.
