An Analysis of the Cutting Force for Peripheral End-milling Considering Run-out (런아웃을 고려한 측면 엔드밀 가공의 절삭력 분석)

  • The cutting force for peripheral end-milling considering run-out property was estimated and its result was compared with that of measured one. An experimental coefficient modelling was used for the formulation of theoretical end-milling force by considering the specific cutting force coefficient. Also, the specific cutting force, that is the multiplication of specific cutting force coefficient and uncut chip thickness, was used for the prediction of end-milling force. The end-milling force mechanics with run-out was presented for the estimation of theoretical force in peripheral end-milling by considering the geometric shape of the workpiece part. As a result, the estimated end-milling force shows a good consistency with the measured one. And it can be used for the prediction of force history in end-milling with run-out which incurs different start and exit immersion angle in entering and exiting condition.

  • Peripheral devices of OBCS in kyeongbu KTX serve various function. those services operate to make sure the safety of trains by displaying some malfunction signs of system and help maintain them appropriately. and they also provide various services for passengers in KTX. They divide into TECA which supports drivers with various data, PID which displays where to go, FDTR, HVAC, MDT etc. To develop superannuated devices, maintain and check its malfunction., we need to analyse hardware specification, OBCS and also protocol for communication devices simultaneously. here, we're trying to find how to find efficient approach by using a protocol analyser properly. We're going to develop peripheral devices to elevate and improve maintenance functions by collecting, compiling data.

  • Objectives : The aim of this study is to propose the treatment of Peripheral Facial paralysis using Korean medical treatment methods as acupuncture, Phmacopuncture, medicine and etc.Methods : Papers were searched in internet sites such as Nation Digital Science Library, Koreanstudies Information Service System, Research Information Sharing Service and The National Assembly Library with title and abstract ʻBellʼs palsyʼ or ʻFacial paralysisʼ and ʻphamacopunctureʼ or ʻbee venomʼ orʻhominis placentaʼetc.Results : 18 papers using phamacopuncture were selected. Most of all is used Bee Vemon Phamcopuncure and all of them used Acupuncture and Medicine therapies. And Groups used Phamacopuncture such as ʻBee Venomʼ,ʻHominis Placentaʼ, ʻSoyeomʼ, ʻBUMʼ,ʻJungsongoulhyulʼetc are statistically improved compared to unused Groups.Conclusions : Acupuncture and Phamacopuncture are useful methods to improve the Peripheral Facial Paralysis, but further researchs are needed.

  • In vitro effect of cortisol on the proliferation of canine peripheral blood mononuclear cells (MNC) was examined. The MNC was isolated from peripheral blood by a gradient centrifugation with Picoll-Hypaque. The cell proliferation assayed using a noneradioactive 5-Bromo-2'-deoxy-uridine (BrdU) kit. The MNC proliferated well in response to either phrtobeRagg$]$utinin-p (PHA-P) or culture supernatant from MNC stimulated with PHA-p. However, these proliferative responses of MNC were not affected by addition of coitisol of 1 to 1,OOfl ng/ml. The addition of cortisol in MNC culture with either PHA-P or corture supernatBnt from MNC stimulated with PHA-P far 4 days wag not also influenced on the viabilities of cultured MNC. In conclusions it was able to assay the cell proliferation with BrdU instead of radioactive isotope e.g. tritiated thymidine (3H-TdR). These results suggested that cortisol does not at least influence on MNC proliferation in vitro.

  • A twenty six months-old boy developed hemophagocytic syndrome during the course of Kawasaki disease. Despite the appropriate treatment modalities for Kawasaki disease, he developed thrombocytopenia, hepatomegaly, high-grade fever, hypertriglyceridemia, peripheral gangrene, and evidence of hemophagocytosis in bone marrow biopsy. Although the course was stormy, he responded well to a combination therapy of corticosteroid and etoposide.

  • Evoked potentials(EP) are defined as electric responses of the nerves system to sensory stimulation. EPs are used mainly to test conduction in the visual, auditory, and somatosensory systems, especially in the central parts of these systems. Somatosensory evoked potentials (SEP) are the potentials elicited by stimulation of peripheral nerves and recorded at various sites along the sensory pathway. SEPs types consist mainly of SEPs to electric stimulation of arm or leg nerves. SEPs to arm stimulation are usually recorded simultaneously from clavicular, cervical, and scalp electrodes; SEPs to leg stimulation are recorded from lumbar, low thoracic, and scalp electrodes. Subject variables that have practical impotance are age, limb length, body height, and temperature. General clinical interpretation of abnormal SEPs wave decreases of peripheral conduction time, and abolition of SEPs recorded from different levels to identify lesions of peripheral nerves, plexus, nerve root, spinal cord, cauda equina, hemispheric brainstem, and cerebral parts of the somatosensory pathway.

  • The pathomechanisms involved in both restless legs syndrome (RLS) and complex regional pain syndrome type I (CRPS I) are still controversial whether they are central or peripheral origins. We recently encountered a patient who had an unusual coexistence of both RLS and CRPS I, and both of which showed good responses to sympathetic block. These findings suggest the role of peripheral mechanisms, especially unmyelinated small autonomic fiber, in both RLS and CRPS I.

  • The peripheral ossifying fibroma(POF) is a relatively common, non-neoplastic gingival growth that is classified as a reactive hyperplastic inflammatory lesion. The clinical appearance of POF is generally a small, well-circumscribed, focal mass with a sessile or pedunculated base. The pathogenesis of this lesion is uncertain. POFs are believed to arise from cells of the periodontal ligament as hyperplastic growth of tissue that is unique to the gingival mucosa. Approximately 60% of POFs occur in the maxilla, and 55%-60% of all cases occur in the incisor-canine area. Most lesions are less than 2 cm in size. To our knowledge, huge POF of approximately 8 cm in size in the lower posterior edentulous ridge has not been previously described in the English literature. We report an unusually huge POF overlying the lower posterior edentulous ridge mucosa, along with long-term follow up result.

  • Whole body energy balance is achieved through the coordinated regulation of energy intake and energy expenditure in various tissues including liver, muscle and adipose tissues. A positive energy imbalance by excessive energy intake or insufficient energy expenditure results in obesity and related metabolic diseases. Although there have been many obesity treatment trials aimed at the reduction of energy intake, these strategies have achieved only limited success because of their associated adverse effects. An ancient neurotransmitter, serotonin is among those traditional pharmacological targets for anti-obesity treatment because it exhibits strong anorectic effect in the brain. However, recent studies suggest the new functions of peripheral serotonin in energy homeostasis ranging from the endocrine regulation by gut-derived serotonin to the autocrine/paracrine regulation by adipocyte-derived serotonin. Here, we discuss the role of serotonin in the regulation of energy homeostasis and introduce peripheral serotonin as a possible target for anti-obesity treatment.

  • Analysis of intraepidermal nerve fibers using skin biopsy is a recently developed technique, providing diagnostic information on small fiber neuropathies. The specimens are obtained by 3 mm punch biopsy, which is safe and minimally invasive. Immunohistochemical staining by Protein gene product (PGP) 9.5 demonstrate not only intraepidermal nerve fibers but dermal structures, such as sweat gland and erector papillae. Up to now, many studies agree that intraepidermal nerve fiber density is dramatically reduced in various sensory neuropathies. The utility of density measure was confirmed with high sensitivity in the diagnosis of sensory neuropathy, comparable to sural nerve biopsy or quantitative sensory testing. Besides quantitative methods, morphological changes like axonal swelling and fragmentation can be used as predegenerative markers. This article reviews the technique of skin biopsy and clinical and experimental usefulness of skin biopsy in diagnosing and monitoring peripheral neuropathies.
