The purpose of this study is to analyze characteristics of water quality factor scientifically and develop the multiple regression model predicting dissolved oxygen to save periodic replacement costs for dissolved oxygen sensor. Correlation analysis using the environmental data obtained from 2 different land-based fish farms of the Geogeum-do, Geheung-gun coastal area during the periods from November 2008 to January 2009 shows that water temperature was negatively correlated with dissolved oxygen and pH butpH was positively correlated with salinity and dissolved oxygen. The information of Keumho fish farm in 2009 is presented by the tables which are monthly statistics of water quality factors and seasonable difference by the Duncan's post-test. Also we developed multiple regression model predicting dissolved oxygen, the usefulness of which was verified by the comparison graph between estimates and actual observations. The developed regression model shows that seawater temperature and salinity give negative affect to dissolved oxygen while pH gives positive affect to it. Lastly the seawater temperature has much higher explanatory power than pH factor.
Purpose: This study was to analyze changes of motivation and health-promoting lifestyle in 3 months after medical examination, and to identify the influencing factors on the change of health-promoting lifestyle. Methods: The subjects of this study were 81 adults who took medical examination at a general hospital health clinic in Cheonan city. The instruments used in this study were the motivation scale and modified HPLP. For data collection, the first survey was conducted from March 16 to April 19, 2001, and the second survey was carried out by mail three months after the medical examination from June 16 to July 19, 2001. Results: 1. The age of the subjects ranged from 26 to 66 years, 71.6% were male, and the major group was office workers(43.2%). 2. The average score of motivation scale was significantly improved in three months to 520.7(SD=82.7). All sub-scales of motivation scale, self-efficacy(t=-4.204, p=.000), perceived benefits(t=-4.263, p=.000), perceived barriers (t=4.305, p=.000), and emotional salience (t=-6.169, p=.000) showed significant improvements in 3 months. 3. The average score of health-promoting lifestyle was significantly increased to 62.5 (SD=9.8) (t=-5.111, p=.000) after 3 months. Health responsibility(t=-6.098, p=.000), eating habit(t=-3.625, p=.001), exercise(t=-2.557, p=.012), and smoking habit(t=-2.157, p=.034) showed significant improvement. But stress management was not changed at the significant level in 3 months(t=-1.832, p=.071). 4. As the result of multiple regression analysis, it was found that perceived barriers, self-efficacy and monthly mean income had a significant influence on health-promoting lifestyle in 3 months after the medical examination. These variables explained 42.4% of variance in health-promoting lifestyle in 3 months after the medical examination. Conclusion: Periodic medical examination and guidance for healthy lifestyle was effective to change the motivation and to improve health promoting lifestyle.
This study aims to find out the prevalence of smoking, and to analyze the effect of smoking for health status, and then to emphasize the necessity of stop smoking. The data used in this study are obtained from periodic health care programe at Health Care Center in a suburban hospital, and selected 435 males who have occupation. The independent varibles chosen for the analysis are general charactersitic variables and smoking habit. The dependent variables are designed to cover the health status of individual cases, and include blood pressure, blood cholesterol level with HDL-cholesterol and blood triglyceride level, recent symptoms and recently being managed diseases. The result of this study are summarized as follows. 1) Percentage of smoker by the age groups is highest in 4th decade, being 71.1%. The second and third ranks are 6th and 7th decades, being 53.5% and 44.4%, respectively. 2) In the view of socio-economic levels, smoking rate is higher in the groups who live at rural area and whoes occupation is labor or merchant. Smoking rate is significantly higher in the heavy drinking group. 3) Among the atherosclerotic risk factors, which include hypertension, HDL-cholesterol by total cholesterol ratio lower than 0.2 and triglyceride level higher than 200gm/dl, hypertension was not statistically associated with smoking, but others revealed statistically high association with smoking. 4) The groups who have the symptoms of severe fatigue, gastrointestinal symptoms, pulmonary symptoms, palpitation and chest tightness havepositive association with smoking. 5) The groups who have hypertension with cardiovascular diseases and gastrointestinal diseases showed highly significant association with non-smoking. 6) In relation of the smoking habit to the atherosclerotic risk factor index, smokers have more atherosclerotic risk factors, but that is not statistically significant. 7) In relation of the smoking habit to the recent symptom index, smokers have more symptoms than non-smokers with statistical significance. In conclusion, smokers have worse health status than non-smokers especially in the atherosclerotic risk factors such as hypertension or abnormal blood lipid status and have more symptoms such as severe fatigue, gastrointestinal symptoms, pulmonary symptoms, palpitation and chest tightness. And the campaingn against smoking should direct for the male in 4th decade because they have highest smoking rate.
The purpose of this study is to identify the main factors influencing breast cancer self-examination, a preventive health behavior, thereby increasing self-examination compliance for early detection of the disease. The data on which this study was based were collected from a survey of 601 ladies, aged 20∼59 years and residing in Seoul, employing such mehtods as X²-test, ANOVA, t-test, F-test, Person's Correlation Coefficient and Stepwise Multiple Regression. The resulting conclusions are as follows; 1. Discrepancies in self-examination compliance rate are found in accordance with the differences of general characters of the surveyed persons. For instance, those who are well educated and better off are better compliers than those who are not (p<0.001), and those around whom breast cancer patients are better ones than who are not (p<0.01). 2. Self-examination compliers have higher health belief than non-compliers. Compliers have more knowledge in health and have higher susceptibility, barriers and health concern (p<0.001), and higher benefits (p<0.01), and higher seriousness (p<0.05) than non-compliers. 3. Whereas those who have loftier health belief show higher compliance rate (p<0.001), seriousness turned out to have no correlationship with self-examination compliance. 4. Stepwise Multiple Regression portray that following factors influence self-examination compliance in arder named. (1) barriers (2) susceptibility, (3) health concern, (4) age, (5) benefits, (6) education level. Even so, it turned out that these factors alone can explain only 20% of self-examination compliance. Therefore study for the other factors ought to be continued. I submit following suggestions ending this study. 1. Since breast cancer self-examination is an essential health behavior needed for early detection of the disease, efficient and proper health education program eyed for regular and periodic self-examination is required to be developed, thus reducing the deaths and pains caused by the disease. 2. Proper policies of the government for the prevention of breast cancer is strongly urged to be formed in concrete manner. 3. Continuous study of the other factors affecting self-examination compliance must be carried on.
Purpose: This study was conducted to find oral health and eating attributes relating to the maxillary anterior teeth color and examine the meaning. Methods: This study aims to prepare the basic data of the teeth color by measuring analyze mode using the color of the maxillary anterior teeth(maxillary central incisor, lateral incisor, canine) of the dental patients as the dental colorimeter. Also, This researcher explained the purpose of this study to dental patients and got agreement of 111 patients(50 men and 61 women). We conducted the survey from 2 March to 25 May, 2015. So the color of total 333 teeth was examined, and eating habit attributes and oral health behaviors were researched. Results: Lightness(L) was significantly high in female compared to male(12, p<0.05), the more often intake of red pepper paste decreased(11, 13) lightness. and the brightness of the 31-40 age group was significantly higher(12, p<0.05) than the group under the age of 20. Red chroma(a) was significantly low in over 50 age group compared to the group under the age of 20(12, p<0.05), and the red chroma(a) of the "received periodic scaling" group was significantly lower(13, p<0.01) than the other group.
The hydrodynamic instability of the three-dimensional boundary layer on a rotating disk introduces a periodic modulation of the mean flow in the form of stationary cross flow vortices. The instability labeled Type II by Faller occurs first at lower Reynolds number than that of well known Type I instability. Detailed numerical values of the amplification rates, neutral curves and other characteristics of the two instabilities have been calculated over a wide range of parameters. Presented are the neutral stability results concerning the two instability modes by solving the appropriate linear stability equations reformulated not only by considering whole convective terms but also by correcting some errors in the previous stability equations. The present stability results agree with the previously known ones within reasonable limit. Consequently, the flow is found to be always stable for a disturbance whose dimensionless wave number is greater than 0.75. Some spatial amplification contours have been computed for the stationary disturbance wave, whose azimuth angle $\varepsilon$= 11.29$^{\circ}$ to 15$^{\circ}$ and for the moving disturbance wave, whose azimuth angle $\varepsilon$ = 12.5$^{\circ}$ to 15$^{\circ}$. Also, some temporal amplification contours have been computed for the stationary disturbance wave, whose azimuth angle $\varepsilon$= 11.29$^{\circ}$ to 15$^{\circ}$ and for the moving disturbance wave, whose azimuth angle $\varepsilon$= 12$^{\circ}$ to 15$^{\circ}$. The flow instability was observed by using a white titanium tetrachloride gas over rotating disk system. When the numerical results are compared to the present experimental data, the numerical results agree quantitatively, indicating the existence of the selective frequency mechanism.

Measurement of five DOF motion errors in a ultra precision feed table was attempted in this study. Yaw and pitch error were measured by using a laser interferometer and roll error was measured by using the reversal method. Linear motion errors in the vertical and horizontal directions were measured by using the sequential two point method. In this case, influence of angular motion errors was compensated by using the previously measured ones by the laser interferometer and the reversal method. The capacitive type sensors and an optical straight edge were used in the reversal method and the sequential two point method. Influence of thermal deformation on sensor jig was investgated and minimized by the periodic measurement according to the variation of room temperature. Deviation of gain between sensors was also compensated using the step response data. 5 DOF motion errors of a hydrostatic table driven by the linear motor werer tested using the measurement method. In the horizontal direction, measuring accuracies for the linear and angular motion were within ${\pm}0.02\;{\mu}m$ and ${\pm}0.04$ arcsec, respectively. In the vertical direction, they were within ${\pm}0.02{\mu}m$ and ${\pm}0.05$ arcsec. From these results, it was found that the introduced measurement method was very effective to measure 5 DOF motion errors of the ultra precision feed tables.

Periodic analysis of local epidemiologic data of prevalent pathogens of blood culture can provide clinicians with relevant information to guide empirical antibiotic therapy. In this study, we analyzed a pattern of change of causative microorganisms and antimicrobial resistance at a tertiary medical center in Chungcheong province from 2003 to 2012, retrospectively. Of 70,258 blood specimens cultured, 6,063 (8.6%) were positive. Among the positive isolates, 95.9% were aerobic or facultative anaerobic bacteria, 0.1% were anaerobes, and 3.9% were fungi. Coagulase-negative Staphylococci (CoNS) (32.9%), Escherichia coli (16.7%), Staphylococcus aureus (9.1%), Klebsiella pneumoniae (6.4%), and ${\alpha}$-hemolytic Streptococcus (5.9%) were commonly isolated bacteria, and Candida albicans (1.4%) was the most commonly isolated fungi. Enterococcus faecium progressively increased but Streptococcus pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii and Proteus species gradually decreased over a period of 10 years. The multidrug-resistant microorganisms such as methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE), cefotaxime-resistant E. coli, imipenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (IRPA) and imipenem-resistant A. baumannii (IRAB), were significantly increased. Therefore, there is a need for a more strict control of antibiotics and a more updated guideline for the treatment of bloodstream infection.

Turbulent flow characteristics in the near wake of a square cylinder have been studied experimentally by using a Digital PIV method. Experiments are performed at the Reynolds numbers of 1600 and 3900 based on the free-stream velocity and the square height. The ensemble averaged turbulence statistics are acquired from 2030 realizations of instantaneous fluctuating velocity field after the conventional Reynolds decomposition. The differences in turbulent intensity and Reynolds shear stress profiles fur both oases indicate that the effect of Reynolds number seems to be descernible mainly due to the occurrence of transition in the separated shear layer. Because of the periodic nature of vortex shedding process, transverse velocity fluctuations contribute dominantly , to turbulent kinetic energy distribution. A comparison with previous LDV data obtained at much higher Reynolds number shows a fairly good agreement each other. It turns out that the effect of Reynolds number diminishes as increasing Reynolds number, which is a well-known feature of a sharp-edged bluff body wake. The streamwise variation of turbulence intensities are compared with those from a circular cylinder along the centerline at the same Reynolds number. The overall magnitudes and the decay rates of turbulence intensities are quite similar, but some differences are noticeble especially in the transverse intensity variation.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the periodic effect of desensitizing drug such as potassium oxalate(D.D.S. # I&II), strontium chloride (ZAROSEN)$^{(R)}$, and placebo group. The 193 teeth of 93 patients who had been complained dental hypersensitivity, and were divided into three groups by application agent and desensitizing treatment was completed. The interval of observation and treatment period were immediately, 1 week, 2 week, 3 week, 4 week, before and after treatment. The data was statistically analized and the results were as followed. 1. Group I showed best desensitizing effect to the stimuli, followed by Group II, Group III. 2. There was a significant difference (p < 0.005) in desensitizing effect among the Group I, Group III and Group II, Group III but there was no significant difference (p < 0.005) in Group I, Group II. 3. The cold stimuli was most effective in desensitization and there was a significant difference (p < 0.005) in cold, air-blast, but there was no significant difference (p < 0.005) in other stimuli. 4. There was no significant difference (p < 0.005) in effect of the desensitization of the cause of exposed dentine. 5. Anterior teeth was more effective than posterior teeth in desensitization and there was a significant difference (p < 0.005) between anterior teeth and posterior teeth. 6. In analysis of stimuli on the potassium oxalate, there was a significant difference (p < 0.005) in cold, air-blast but there was no significant difference (p < 0.005) in other stimuli.
