In order to enhance their own customer satisfaction index that is one of the top level managerial performance indices, Internet communication service providers endeavor onto establishing a total quality management system. Specifically, it is under discussion that some critical Internet communication network quality characteristics closely related to customer satisfaction index should be controlled aiming to this managerial goal. This paper presents an application scheme of I-MR control charts for monitoring Internet communication network quality characteristics. This statistical quality control scheme generates a signal to practitioners when it detects the network quality characteristics out-of control. It is designed based on; 1) individual measurements; and 2) moving ranges between two consecutive individual measurements collected with a constant time interval. Empirical analyses are illustrated to estimate the expected quality improvement ratios that can be realized with the application scheme proposed in this paper. Assuming that the assignable causes can be revealed and eradicated, regarding two Internet communication services A, B, seven network quality characteristics for each service, eleven distinct measuring spots for each network quality characteristic, the expected quality improvement ratios are calculated with which the effect of the application scheme is evaluated. Results show the ranges of the expected quality improvement ratios; 1) Service A, (1) mean (0.31%-11.44%), (2) standard deviation (9.82%-71.10%): 2) Service B, (1) mean (0.29%-17.64%), (2) standard deviation (8.05%-60.59%). Hence, It is anticipated that the I-MR control charts based application scheme can be effective not only to improving the mean and dispersion of the network quality characteristics concerned but also to maintaining the network quality characteristics in-control consequently.
Advancement in the medical field provides an opportunity for the development of medical equipment and also enable accurate diagnosis for the inspection and the treatment of diseases. The aging of equipment due to the frequent operation produce uncertainty in the patient exposure dose, so a quality control was implemented by establishing a safety management system on a regular basis. The x-ray tube voltage (kVp), which is directly involved in the patient exposure dose and the life of the equipment, needs periodic performance for the quality control, but it has a limitation due to the time and the cost. In this study, we proposed a new method for measuring the kVp with ease by using the Y and Cu to solve the problem of the time and cost. We also evaluated the usefulness and the effectiveness of the new method and its accuracy through the kVp measurement. After securing the condition, the amount of the tube current and evaluating the usefulness and effectiveness of kVp measured using Y and Cu. The density range used was at 0.5-1.0, kVp was in the range of ${\pm}10%$, then, we recorded the change in concentration as % of Y and Cu. This experiment showed that when Cu and Y was at 75 kVp, concentration was the same, and when the kVp was changed to 65 ~ 85 %, a gradual increase in concentration to 85 ~ 110 % was noted.

Bioretention systems, an advance low impact development and green infrastructure approach were currently utilized in different parts of the world because it promotes biodiversity thereby mimicking and preserving the pre-developed state of an area. This study investigated and compared the capability of four bioretention systems to identify factors affecting the hydraulic capabilities and pollutant removal efficiencies of each system. The two bioretention type A referred as Type A-C and Type A-FC were planted with perennials such as Chrysanthemum and Fan columbine, respectively. On the other hand, the two type B bioretention systems referred as Type B-A and Type B-JM were planted with shrub plant species such as Azalea and Japanese Meadowsweet, respectively. Based on the results, TV, infiltration mechanism, filter media depth and plant species were identified as the factors affecting the difference in flow attenuation, retained volume and pollutant removal efficiency of Type A-C, Type A-FC, Type B-A and Type B-JM bioretention systems. The design of bioretention Type B-A and Type B-JM were advantageous considering greater volume retention, groundwater recharge, longer HRT and peak flow attenuation and greater pollutant removal efficiency. On the other hand, the design of bioretention Type A-C and Type A-FC was more appropriate for design considering reduced groundwater contamination.
Impermeable surfaces such as transportation land uses including roads and parking lots accumulate high heavy metals and particulate matters concentration especially during dry season which worsens the river water quality and distort the water circulation system during rainfall events. Recently, the government has been promoting policies to install Low Impact Development (LID) facilities such as permeable pavements or grass blocks in parking lots or pavements. However, transition of asphalt-paved surfaces to permeable pavement generated asphalt wastes which are detrimental to the environment and has cost implications due to its removal and disposal. Therefore this study was conducted to provide a method of constructing a cost-effective permeable pavement to reduce waste generation and cost. In this study, comparative analysis of the water circulation capacity and economic efficiency of the traditional construction method and new method proposed in this study through the lab-scale experiment. The proposed method was to make holes in existing asphalt pavements, layout geotextile fabric and permeable base media such as sand before compaction. After compaction, layout grass blocks on the compacted base media then layout sand in between each grass blocks before compaction. Apparently, there was no significant difference between the traditional installation method of permeable pavement and the proposed method in this study considering surface runoff, infiltrated volume, stored volume, and rainfall-runoff delay time. The proposed method in this study generated 86% less wastes compared to the traditional installation method and has 70% cost reduction considering asphalt removal and disposal. The construction method proposed in this study yielded similar performance compared to the traditional installation method and water circulation effect, but was proven to be less complicated and economical.
This paper proposes algorithm to reduce the computing time in a neural network that reduces transmission of data for tracking mobile objects in surveillance networks in terms of detection and communication load. Object Detection can be defined as follows : Given image sequence, which can forom a digitalized image, the goal of object detection is to determine whether or not there is any object in the image, and if present, returns its location, direction, size, and so on. But object in an given image is considerably difficult because location, size, light conditions, obstacle and so on change the overall appearance of objects, thereby making it difficult to detect them rapidly and exactly. Therefore, this paper proposes fast and exact object detection which overcomes some restrictions by using neural network. Proposed system can be object detection irrelevant to obstacle, background and pose rapidly. And neural network calculation time is decreased by reducing input vector size of neural network. Principle Component Analysis can reduce the dimension of data. In the video input in real time from a CCTV was experimented and in case of color segment, the result shows different success rate depending on camera settings. Experimental results show proposed method attains 30% higher recognition performance than the conventional method.
In response to climate change, Korea is attempting to shift the paradigm of energy and climate change policies by introducing carbon pricing based on market mechanisms. While policy adoption is proceeding at a rapid pace, the introduction of carbon pricing has been faced with great opposition from industry. This study measures to what extent Korean companies understand and accept carbon pricing, using data from a questionnaire survey covering energy consuming companies in 2012, when discussions between the government and such companies about the introduction of a domestic emission trading system were active. It further identifies how preparations and practices for carbon and energy management of companies correlate with their policy understanding and acceptance. The analysis results show that the surveyed companies indicate moderate understanding of, as well as resistance to carbon pricing policies, while appreciating the economic incentives and accepting the mandatory regulations in this phase. Companies' understanding is more related to characteristics, i.e., sector, size, etc. than external pressures. This study found that the extent to which companies understand policy is the essential factor in their policy acceptance and related practices. In particular, understanding of carbon policy significantly influences their managerial practices and voluntary activities for carbon and energy practices. This study substantiates the correlation between the level of policy understanding of a company and its carbon and energy practices - something that all countries seeking to introduce carbon pricing in response to climate change should consider prior to policy actually being implemented; in other words, enhancing the understanding of major policy subjects of the new instrument is a key policy strategy that should be elaborated as it will lead to better performance of companies and smoother policy implementation.
This study was performed to examine effects of PNF combined pattern training on balance ability and functional ability of hockey players. In order to achieve this purpose, total 28 participants were separated into two group: 14 comparison group and 14 experiment group, and the experiment group performed PNF combined pattern training for 12 week, 3 times a week, 60 minutes a day. Each group was measured beforehand, after 6 week and 12 week. balance ability was measured using GOOD BALANCE system and functional ability was measured using carioca and shuttle-run test. For statistically verifying above measured values, repeated measure analysis of variance was analyzed and have following results. As the comparing results of balance ability, normal standing eye close(NSEC) was ant-post and velocity moment of experiment group showed significant differences(p<.05). And one leg right eye close(OLREC) was ant-post, med-lat and velocity moment of experiment group showed significant differences (p<.05). Also, dynamic balance ability was ant-post and velocity moment of experiment groups showed significant differences(p<.05). As the comparing results of functional ability, shuttle-run of experiment group sowed significant differences(p<.05). From above results, balance ability of hockey players was shown to be improved through symmetric training of PNF combined pattern applied to hockey players, and it can be considered that this is actively recommended for training method to improve athletic performance of hockey players.
In parallel with evolving information communication technology, M2M(Machine-to-Machine) industry has implemented multi-functional and high-performance systems, and made great strides with IoT(Internet of Things) and IoE(Internet of Everything). Authentication, confidentiality, anonymity, non-repudiation, data reliability, connectionless and traceability are prerequisites for communication security. Yet, the wireless transmission section in M2M communication is exposed to intruders' attacks. Any security issues attributable to M2M wireless communication protocols may lead to serious concerns including system faults, information leakage and privacy challenges. Therefore, mutual authentication and security are key components of protocol design. Recently, secure communication protocols have been regarded as highly important and explored as such. The present paper draws on hash function, random numbers, secret keys and session keys to design a secure communication protocol. Also, this paper tests the proposed protocol with a formal verification tool, Casper/FDR, to demonstrate its security against a range of intruders' attacks. In brief, the proposed protocol meets the security requirements, addressing the challenges without any problems.
This work uses data associated with business activity and outcome on the five main SOGO-SHOSYA and considers meaning of its outcome and logistics function in energy business field in recent 10 years. The contents of this work embody three chapters, which are an investigation on advanced research, an analysis of SOGO-SHOSYA business outcome, logistics function in its energy business field, Research method are used by statistical analysis and organizational structure analysis as well as case study. We will search for the reason that the energy business has worked well lately. There are actively securing interests of energy exploitation and longer-term investment to affiliated companies, building supply chain system with internal and external businesses. Especially, we will account for the logistics role of SOGO-SHOSYA that has newly understood the international logistics function in energy business field. SOGO-SHOSYA has coordinated organizationally from upstream to downstream in energy business, is showing its abilities in midstream related features that involve investor, organizer and analyst. SOGO-SHOSYA's building up logistics function will help supply chain in energy business for rising the competitiveness of price and quality, and support cost-reducing in activities of supply chain.

The construction of new roads and the consistent extension of already-existing roads or the line-shape revision of those roads are increased with the governmental investment to SOC facilities currently. Accordingly, the road cut slopes are in the trend of rapidly increasing. As the road slope has increased, a lot of human and property damages has entailed consequently and in the local case, numerous studies have carried out aiming at minimizing this damages caused by the rockfall and landslide. In general, standard falling rock prevention facility has employed for most of the local road slope based on "Guide for Installation and Management of Road Safety Facilities" published by MLTM(the Ministry of Land, Transport, and Maritime Affairs) but profound doubt has raised as to whether this rockfall prevention facility would function properly enough to prevent rockfall efficiently without any damages in case of actual occurrence of rockfall. In addition, it is a reality that in most cases, such work is relied on overseas technology as a whole as the local technical level is low and in case of rockfall prevention net, it is judged that a study on rockfall prevention net that is able to endure more powerful rockfall energy is required as the problem including net bursting is taken place as a result of enough bearing force being failed to be demonstrated due to its partial weak point(not uniformly made). Under this background, in this study, three kinds of model depending on mesh size of expanded metal that is considered to have an adoptability as rockfall prevention net, as target are selected and characteristics depending on mesh size of expanded metal is intended to be researched through a pull-out test performance by using pull-out test equipment rockfall prevention net.
