Hyundai 8608 Robot 제어기 파라미터 튜닝 방안 연구 (A Study on the Control Parameter Tuning Method of the Hyundai 8608 Robot)

  • This work proposes a controller tuning method of a Hyundai 8608 robot in order to improve its performance. For this, we analyzed the control structure of the robot, and the functions of all the adjustable parameters in the robot controller with a reference 'NACHI Technical Report'. Through the analysis, we found out that 3 important parameters(VRRL, VRF, VRGIN) act like a conventional PID gains and other parameters are closely related to these 3 parameters. Conclusively, parameter tuning of these 3 parameters is enough in most cases of applications with other parameters fixed. The conventional PID tuning is performed to each joint of the test robot with Robot Performance Evaluation System(shown in our companion paper) so that the acceptable gain ranges for each joint are determined and then the robot performance tests are repeatedly done with the combination of the acceptable gains. Finally, the best combination is selected for its best performance. For the effectiveness of the proposed method, it was implemented on a Hyundai 8608 robot and its results are compared with the results of NACHI's Semi-Auto Tuning Method and the results which are done by a tuning expert with his eyes.

Navigator Lookout Activity Classification Using Wearable Accelerometers

  • Maintaining a proper lookout activity routine is integral to preventing ship collision accidents caused by human errors. Various subjective measures such as interviewing, self-report diaries, and questionnaires have been widely used to monitor the lookout activity patterns of navigators. An objective measurement of a lookout activity pattern classification system is required to improve lookout performance evaluation in a real navigation setting. The purpose of this study was to develop an objective navigator lookout activity classification system using wearable accelerometers. In the training session, 90.4% accuracy was achieved in classifying five fundamental lookout activities. The developed model was then applied to predict real-lookout activity in the second session during an actual ship voyage. 86.9% agreement was attained between the directly observed activity and predicted activity. Based on these promising results, the proposed unobstructed wearable system is expected to objectively evaluate navigator lookout patterns to provide a better understanding of lookout performance.

  • This paper presents the evaluation of PID and fuzzy control logic for the lateral position control of a moving web in roll-to-roll (R2R) printed electronics. In addition, we report the implementation of computer simulation software that enables us to develop the control logic in a graphic user interface and to test the controller performance in 3D dynamic environment. A mathematical model of the web dynamics is described first to explain the lateral motion of a moving web. Based on the model, PID and fuzzy controllers are designed, and embedded in the simulation software. Under the simulation conditions for fabricating RFID antenna by R2R printing, the results indicate that the fuzzy controller shows a better performance and can be more suitable for R2R multi-layer printed electronics.

  • There are various national standards designed to test the physical properties of waterproofing materials for the respective countries based on each of their environmental parameters, variables and requirements. The problems of these standard systems can be outlined in the following: (1) there are too many test methods and criteria to satisfy in order assess one waterproofing membrane system, and (2) there is currently no known method to compile the separate testing results to provide a comprehensive report on waterproofing system durability. This paper outlines and compares the performance testing results of various types of asphalt waterproofing membrane systems and discusses the potentials of a complex environmental deterioration analysis method.

  • Test Results and Status of development of the urban transit maglev system (UTM-0l) are reported. Maglev Project Team in KIMM, in cooperation with Hyundai Precision Company and the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI). has successfully finished the second stage development project (1995.5-1998.8) and demonstrated a prototype two vehicle consisted urban maglev train operating in the speed range of 50 km/h. In this paper, we report various test results of the UTM-01 system. present status of quo and future prospect, and what have been done so far to improve the performance of the maglev system overall.

정상 노년층의 인지-언어 능력에 대한 주-객관적 평가 간 상관성 (Correlation between Subjective and Objective Cognitive-Linguistic Tests in Older Adults)

  • 노년기의 인지-언어적 변화는 일상생활의 불편함을 초래할 뿐 아니라 신경학적 질환의 주요 지표가 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 정상 노년층의 인지-언어 능력에 대한 주관적 및 객관적 평가 간의 상관성을 분석하고 인지-언어 능력의 예측 변인을 알아보았다. 이를 위해 2015년 7월부터 2016년 2월까지 만 65세 이상 정상 노인 63명과 이들의 정보제공자 63명을 대상으로 인지-언어 능력에 대한 자기 보고형 및 정보제공자 보고형 주관적 평가(ISCOLE)와 객관적 평가(CAPTBI)를 시행하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 노인 및 정보제공자 집단 간에 주관적 평가의 차이는 유의하지 않았다. 둘째, 노인 집단은 8개, 정보제공자 집단은 15개 영역에서 주-객관적 평가 간에 유의한 상관성을 보였다. 셋째, 문제해결력 등은 정보제공자 보고형의 언어능력이, 그리고 집행기능과 언어능력은 정보제공자 보고형의 기억력이 주요 예측 변인이었다. 본 연구를 통해 인지-언어 능력에 대한 주-객관적 평가 간 상관성에 있어 노인 및 정보제공자 집단이 하위 영역별로 차이를 보이며, 정보제공자 집단의 주관적 평가가 더 많은 영역에서 객관적 평가와 상관성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이는 정상 노년층을 대상으로 한 인지-언어 능력의 평가 및 예방적 중재 시 적극 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • Recent year, mean energy consumptions of a people are higher than other country. And international oil price became over 120 dollar. This energy environment as well as energy war. Maybe, the Meteorological Administration is going to enforce scorching heatwave special report system from that come summer. Besides, 2008 summer, maximum demand power is expected by 64,240,000kW. The electric power equipment reserve rate appeared in to keep 12.5% level. Chilled water storage system witch is one of electric load administration system. Heat pump system used cooling tower heat recovery is advantage that use is possible to summer in small a public bath building. In this paper, we suggest that heat pump system by heat recovery using cooling tower when it is heating operation of ambient air temperature. To apply cooling tower heat recovery heat pump to chilled water heat storage type and achieved performance evaluation about operation. As a result, performance of heat pump system that about 121% in cooling mode, 138% in heating mode higher than KEPCO standard. And heating operation possible to ambient air temperature about $23^{\circ}C$, which of appear cooling tower outlet temperature about $13^{\circ}C$.

  • 멀티미디어 통신에서 통신 성능에 관련된 요구 사항들은 QoS 매개 변수들로서 서술된다. QoS매개 변수들에서 중요한 매개 변수 중의 하나가 전송 신뢰성이다. QoS 매개 변수로서의 신뢰성은 오류 감지, 보고 그리고 정정 기법으로 정의된다. 하지만 기존의 오류 제어 기법들은 멀티미디어 데이타의 통합된 관점을 고려하지 않았다. 그래서 우리는 MEC(multimedia-oriented error control)라고 명명된 오류 제어 기법을 제안하였다. 1 본 논문에서는 MEC기법의 성능을 조사 하였다. 성능평가 결과는 MEC기법이 기존의 오류 제어 기법보다도 낮은 전송지연(lower delay)과 호손율(blocking probability) 을 갖는다는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 결국 제안된 MEC기법은 수송 프로토콜에게 유연성과 높은 성능을 갖도록 해준다.Abstract Communication performance requirements are described as QoS parameters in multimedia communication. One of the important QoS parameters is the reliability of the transfer. As a QoS parameter, the reliability defines error detection, report and correction mechanisms. Conventional error control mechanisms, however, do not consider the integrated viewpoint of multimedia data. So we have proposed the MEC(multimedia-oriented error control). 1 In this paper, we have investigated the performance evaluation of the MEC. The results show that the MEC mechanism provides lower transfer delay and blocking probability than those of the conventional error recovery mechanism. Therefore, the proposed MEC mechanism makes the transport protocol have the flexibility and high performance.

Development and performance evaluation of large-area hybrid gamma imager (LAHGI)

  • We report the development of a gamma-ray imaging device, named Large-Area Hybrid Gamma Imager (LAHGI), featuring high imaging sensitivity and good imaging resolution over a broad energy range. A hybrid collimation method, which combines mechanical and electronic collimation, is employed for a stable imaging performance based on large-area scintillation detectors for high imaging sensitivity. The system comprises two monolithic position-sensitive NaI(Tl) scintillation detectors with a crystal area of 27 × 27 cm2 and a tungsten coded aperture mask with a modified uniformly redundant array (MURA) pattern. The performance of the system was evaluated under several source conditions. The system showed good imaging resolution (i.e., 6.0-8.9° FWHM) for the entire energy range of 59.5-1330 keV considered in the present study. It also showed very high imaging sensitivity, successfully imaging a 253 µCi 137Cs source located 15 m away in 1 min; this performance is notable considering that the dose rate at the front surface of the system, due to the existence of the 137Cs source, was only 0.003 µSv/h, which corresponds to ~3% of the background level.

저비용 RFID 시스템에서의 충돌방지 알고리즘에 대한 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation of Anti-collision Algorithms in the Low-cost RFID System)

  • RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) 기술은 RF 신호를 사용하여 물품에 부착된 전자태그를 비접촉식으로 식별하는 자동인식기술이다. RFID 시스템 구축에 있어 식별영역 내에 다수의 태그가 존재할 경우, 다중태그 식별(multi-tag identification)을 위한 충돌방지(anti-collision) 알고리즘이 필수적으로 요구된다. 태그 충돌방지와 관련된 기존 연구들은 각각 고유한 형태의 코드체계를 기반으로 하고 있으며 태그 식별성능에 대한 비교연구도 부족한 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 저비용(low-cost) RFID 시스템 구축을 목표로 표준화가 진행되고 있는 96-비트 EPC(Electronic Product Code) 코드를 기반으로 기존 대표적인 충돌방지 알고리즘인 트리 기반 메모리래스(tree based memoryless) 충돌방지 알고리즘들과 슬롯 알로하 기반으로 (slot aloha based) 충돌방지 알고리즘들의 성능평가를 수행한다. 성능평가 결과 초당 평균 태그 식별개수에서 충돌 추적 트리(collision tracking tree) 알고리즘이 다른 알고리즘들보다 최소 2배에서 최대 50배 이상의 우수한 성능을 보여준다.
