Design and implementation methodologies on the performance evaluation system of two-channel ring-core Flux-Gate Compass (FG-Compass) are described, with evaluation procedures and methods based on the polynomial regression models. Performance evaluation system is consists of a step motor driving unit, a bearing transmitting unit and, evaluation programs using polynomial regression formulae. Through performance evaluation tests, total residual deviation tests, total residual deviation of $\pm$4$^{\circ}$ and eigen residual deviation of $\pm$2$^{\circ}$ are obtained from the FG-Compass. The result is more accurate values than the typical FG-Compass with eigen residual deviation of $\pm$4$^{\circ}$ and is provide a possibility to develop a high performance FG-Compass. In addition, the design methodology of a smart FG-Compass with the self estimation and correction of residual deviations is also discussed.

WTO/TBT requires that, for technical regulations affecting trade, technical regulatory requirements must be specified where possible in terms of performance rather than design or descriptive characteristics. The movement which made "performance" a keyword in landscape architecture was activated in Japan, one of the leading counties in performance-based regulatory system(PBRS). The Japanese recent movement of systematization activity on performance-based standards and specifications was reviewed and operational applications for performance-based regulatory system in South Korea are summarized as follows: 1. The establishment of performance standards that can be properly evaluated by assessment indicators is necessary in cases when quantitative evaluation is difficult. 2. As a preparation for PBRS, a brief procurement system by technical proposal for the landscape design and construction is necessary. 3. As a preparation for PBRS, activation of an environmental performance evaluation on experimental construction is necessary. 4. As a preparation for PBRS, a certification system of environmental performance on various landscape construction methods is necessary. 5. The Private Finance Initiative Project is the most similar to PBRS therefore, activation of the Private Finance Initiative Project is necessary in landscape architecture projects for park rehabilitation.
Purpose - The purpose of this study was to examine the internal relevance between digital transformation, manipulation of asset evaluation and corporate M&A performance and further explores the impact path of manipulation of asset valuation on corporate M&A performance. Design/methodology/approach - This study based on the financial data of A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges from 2013 to 2021. Findings - First, manipulation of asset evaluation is negatively correlated with M&A performance. Second, Digital transformation significantly weakens the negative correlation between manipulation of asset evaluation and corporate M&A performance. Third, The effectiveness of internal control plays a partially intermediary role in the process of manipulation of asset evaluation affecting M&A performance. Research implications or Originality - Enriching the existing literature on the subject, the study can also provide useful reference for improving the performance of corporate mergers and acquisitions, regulating asset valuation, promoting the digital transformation of enterprises and improving internal control mechanisms, with both theoretical and practical implications.
Nonlinear static analysis as an essential part of performance based design is now widely used especially at design offices because of its simplicity and ability to predict seismic demands on inelastic response of buildings. Since the accuracy of nonlinear static procedures (NSP) to predict seismic demands of buildings affects directly on the entire performance based design procedure, therefore lots of research has been performed on the area of evaluation of these procedures. In this paper, one of the popular NSP, FEMA356, is evaluated and compared with modal pushover analysis. The ability of these procedures to simulate seismic demands in a set of reinforced concrete (RC) buildings is explored with two level of base acceleration through a comparison with benchmark results determined from a set of nonlinear time history analyses. According to the results of this study, the modal pushover analysis procedure estimates seismic demands of buildings like inter story drifts and hinges plastic rotations more accurate than FEMA356 procedure.
There are various ICT technologies continuously being developed to reduce damage by industrial accidents. And research is being conducted to minimize damage in case of industrial accidents by utilizing sensors, IoT, big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence. In this paper, we propose a design method for a smart device capable of multilateral communication between devices and smart repeater in the communication shaded Areas such as closed areas of industrial sites, mountains, oceans, and coal mines. The proposed device collects worker's information such as worker location and movement speed, and environmental information such as terrain, wind direction, temperature, and humidity, and secures a safe distance between workers to warn in case of a dangerous situation and is designed to be attached to a helmet. For this, we proposed functional requirements for smart devices and design methods for implementing each requirement using sensors and modules in smart device. And we derived evaluation items for performance evaluation of the smart device and proposed an evaluation environment for performance evaluation in mountainous area.

The valve performance has been evaluated from the theoretical equation based on design information such as packing thrust, spring preload and friction coefficient(${\mu}$). The accuracy of those data can be lower than that of vendor's initial design data. Especially, the friction coefficient can be degraded with time than the original condition and the valve performance calculated using the previous friction coefficient can not be available. Accordingly, this paper is describing a new performance evaluation method of valve based on diagnostic test data which are acquired from a site valve tested in static and dynamic conditions. Especially, this paper provides a new method using friction coefficient(${\mu}$) which is derived from the diagnostic test data acquired in the valve's design basis condition.
As real-time processing of data with large storage space is required in the era of multimedia, disk arrays are generally used as storage subsystems which be able to provide improved I/O performance. To design the cost-effective disk array, it is important to develop performance models which evaluate the disk array performance. Both queueing theory and simulation are applicable as the method of performance evaluation through queueing modeling. But there is a limit to the analytical method using queueing theory due to the characteristics of disk array requests being serviced in the parallel and concurrent manner. So in this paper we evaluate the disk array performance using simulation method which abstract disk array systems in the low level. Performance results were evaluated through simulation, so that mean response time, mean queueing delay, mean service time, mean queue length for disk array requests and utilization, throughput for disk array systems, can be utilized for capacity planning in the phase of disk array design.

The performance variation of a multibody system is affected by a variation of various design variables of the system. And the effects of design variable variations on the performance variation must be considered in design of a multibody system. Accordingly, a variation analysis of a multibody system needs to be conducted in design of a multibody system. For a variation analysis of a performance, population mean and variance which are called statistical parameters of design variables are needed. However, an evaluation of statistical parameters of design variables is impossible in many practical cases. Therefore, an estimation of statistical parameters of the performance based on sample mean and variance which are called statistic of design variables is needed. In this paper, the variation analysis method for a multibody system based on design variable samples was proposed. And, using the proposed method, a variation analysis of the vehicle ride comfort based on sample statistic of design variables was conducted.

In January 2018, the Ministry of Education published "Seismic design criteria for school buildings" and "Manual for seismic performance evaluation and retrofit of school buildings" to evaluate seismic performances through linear analysis. This paper evaluates the seismic performance of an old school building through the linear analysis. The target building was constructed in the late 1970s, and the seismic-force-resisting system was assumed to be a reinforced concrete moment frame with an un-reinforced masonry wall. As a result of the evaluation, the target building does not satisfy the 'life safety' level of 1.2 times the design spectrum. The average strength ratio of moment frames, an indicator of the level of seismic performance tends to be controlled by beams. However, through the Pohang earthquake, it was known that the short column effect caused by the partially infilled masonry wall caused shear failure of the columns in school buildings. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the linear analysis so that the column controls the average strength ratio of moment frames.

Purpose: Various studies to solve the problem of increased energy consumption in the buildings are being carried out recently. Especially, the economic feasibility and insulation performance of the air-cap have been verified so that various studies regarding the reduction of building energy consumption have been carried out. However, previous studies regarding the air-cap were only carried out based on the verification of its insulation performance according to the size and attachment position of the air-cap. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to suggest a detachable air-cap module for improving the performance of the windows, evaluate the performance based on cooling, heating and light environments and verify its effectiveness through a real-scale testbed. Method: In this study, the energy saving performance in the circumstance where there is no attachment of an air-cap (Case 1), the circumstance where there is the attachment of air-cap on the glass surface of window (Case 2) and the circumstance where there is the attachment of an air-cap on the window frame (Case 3) were compared in order to verify the performance of the detachable air-cap module (Case 4), and the electricity consumption of cooling, heating and lighting equipment to maintain the appropriate indoor temperature and Illuminance for each case was calculated and utilized as indicators for the performance evaluation. Result: The result of this study is as follows. 1) In this study, the detachable air-cap module which was easily detachable through the principle of the magnet was suggested. 2) When Case 4 is applied, the electricity consumption of cooling and heating equipment can be reduced by 27.5%, 13.2% and 3.4% in comparison with Case 1, Case 2 and Case 3 respectively. 3) When the air-cap is applied to the window, the lighting energy consumption increases by 4 % in comparison to the non application of the air-cap, and this factor or aspect should be considered when applying the air-cap. 4) According to the performance evaluation result in consideration of cooling, heating and light environments, Case 4 demonstrates an energy saving ratio of 22.6%, 10.6% and 2.7% in comparison to Case 1, Case 2 and Case 3 respectively, indicating that it is effective for improving the performance of windows.
