Anthropogenic increases in greenhouse gas concentrations, primarily through radiative forcing from carbon dioxide, continue to challenge earth's climate. This study quantified $CO_2$ storage and uptake by dominant forest types and age classes in the middle region of Korea. In addition, the role of forest landscapes in reducing atmospheric $CO_2$ against $CO_2$ emissions based on energy consumption was evaluated. Mean $CO_2$ storage and uptake per unit area by woody plants for three forest types and four age classes were estimated applying regression equations derived to quantify $CO_2$ storage and uptake per tree; and computations per soil unit area were also performed. Total $CO_2$ storage and uptake by forest landscapes were estimated by extrapolating $CO_2$ storage and uptake per unit area. Results indicated mean $CO_2$ storage per unit area by woody plants and soils was higher in older age classes for the same forest types, and higher in broadleaved than coniferous forests for the same age classes, with the exception of age class II (11-20 years). $CO_2$ storage by broadleaved forests of age class V (41-50 years) averaged 662.0 t/ha (US$331.0 hundred/ha), highest for all forest types and age classes evaluated. Overall, an increased mean $CO_2$ uptake per unit area by woody plants was evident for older age classes for the same forest types. However, decreased $CO_2$ uptake by broadleaved forests at age class V was observed, compared to classes III and IV with an average of 27.9 t/ha/yr (US$14.0 hundred/ha/yr). Total $CO_2$ storage by woody plants and soils in the study area was equivalent to 3.4 times the annual $CO_2$ emissions, and woody plants annually offset the $CO_2$ emissions by 17.7%. The important roles of plants and soils were associated with 39.1% of total forest area in South Korea, and $CO_2$ emissions comprised 62.2% of the total population. Therefore, development of forest lands may change $CO_2$ sinks into sources. Forest landscape management strategies were explored to maintain or improve forest roles in reducing atmospheric $CO_2$ levels.
The background of this study is to examine the structure of housing price of which characteristics are not equal but hierarchical in the apartment complexes. So, the purpose of this study is to analyze the influences of apartment complex characteristics on the housing price within the same regional boundary by HLM. The data used as dependent variables were the market prices of 938 units from 29 apartment complexes by stratified sampling. The 2nd level independent variables is the Housing complex characteristics which are composed of the housing complex & locational variables and the 1st level independent variables are the unit characteristics. The results are as follows. First, the first model shows that the 2nd level variables explains 68% of the housing prices. Second, the influential variables of the 1st level unit variable are 'dwelling exclusive area', 'floor of dwelling' and 'direction of dwelling'. Third, the influential variables of the housing complex variables in the 2nd level are 'lot area', 'the building-to-land ratio', 'the number of unit', 'the number of parking lots per unit', 'Green space area' and 'open space area per unit'. The last, the influential variables of the housing locational variables in the 2nd level are 'distance to subway and park' and the number of school and park within a radius of 1km.

According to statistical data the past ten years, cultivation area and yield of radish are steadily decreasing. This phenomenon cause instability of radish's supply due to meteorological chage, even if radish's yield per unit area is increasing by cultivation technological development. These problems raise radish's price. So, we conducted study on meteorological factors for accuracy improvement of radish yield estimation. Panel analysis was used with two-way effect model considering group effect and time effect. As the result, we show that mixed effects model (fixed effect: group, random effects: time) was statistical significance. According to the model, a rise of one degree in the average air temperature on August will decrease radish's yield per unit area by $428kg{\cdot}10a^{-1}$ and that in the average air temperature on October will increase radish's yield per unit area by $438kg{\cdot}10a^{-1}$. The reason is that radish's growth will be easily influenced by meteorological condition of a high temperature on August and by meteorological condition of a low temperature on Octoboer.

Fish resource surveys were conducted near Jeju Island in June, August and October 2021 using an underwater camera monitoring system, fish pots, and SCUBA diving methods. The efficiency of the methods used to survey fish resources was compared using the number of individuals compared to area per unit time (inds/m3/h) and the number of species compared to area per unit time (spp./m3/h). As a result of comparing the number of individuals compared to the area per unit time (inds/m3/h), the order was underwater camera 214.69, SCUBA diving 124.62, and fish pots 0.57 inds/m3/h. The number of species compared to area per unit time (spp./m3/h) is in the following order: SCUBA diving 0.85, underwater camera 0.38, and fish pots 0.01 spp./m3/h. The fish resource monitoring method using underwater cameras was found to be more efficient in individual counts, and the SCUBA diving method was found to be more efficient in species counts. When considering cost and survey efficiency, the fish resource survey method using underwater cameras was judged to be more effective. The results of this study are expected to be widely used in estimating the population density of fish, which is the core of future fisheries resource surveys.

In order to understand interaction between building users' occupant performance and building maintenance performance of maintenance management personnel, actual data from maintenance activities of buildings were analyzed. Also, using building defect customer complaint data reported by building user, satisfaction data on building maintenance services of building users and service response time of maintenance management personnel, a method for evaluating interaction of buildings with the same purpose and same size was proposed. Throughout analysis, average number of occurrences per unit area per year for the mechanical complaints in complex building were presented. In addition, using building users' satisfaction with facility management services, attitude of responding to business obstacles, number of occurrences per unit area per year of mechanical complaints and complaint processing speed, interaction was comprehensively identified and compared.

In this study, the dynamic properties of a floor impact sound isolation pad expressed in terms of the natural frequency, the dynamic stiffness per unit area and the loss factor are measured by the resonant method. By using the measured dynamic properties, the vibration transmissibility diagram is obtained for each isolation pad, which is compared with the values tested by the impact sound sources at the room in an apartment. From the comparative results, it is found that the noise reduction Performances. of isolation pads are closely connected with the natural frequency and the dynamic stiffness per unit area.
Theoretical expressions were dcrived for the numher of fibers per unit cross-sectional area in fiber reinforced concrete, with due consideration given to the effects of the surrounding boundaries. The number of fibers per unit cross-sectional area in steel fiber reinforced concrete was also measured experimentally for the specimens incorporating various volume fractions of fibers of different types. Statistical evaluation of the measured value was then performed in order to assess the differences in fiber concentration at different location on tbe cross section. Degree of reorientation of steel fibers in concrete occuring during vibration was examined by com¬paring the differences in the computed and measur'ed values of the number of fibers per unit cross-sectional area.

This paper predicts the onion's cultivation areas, yields per unit area, and wholesale prices during ship dates by using wholesale price data from the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, the production data from the Statistics Korea, and the weather data from the Korea Meteorological Administration with an ARDL model. By analyzing the data of wholesale price, rural household income and rural total earnings, onion cultivation areas in 2015 are estimated to be 21,035, 17,774 and 20,557(ha). In addition, onion yields per unit area of South Jeolla Province, North Gyeongsang Province, South Gyeongsang Province, Jeju Island, and the whole country in 2015 are estimated to be 5,980, 6,493, 6,543, 6,614, 6,139 (kg/10a) respectively. By using onion production's predictive value found from onion's cultivation areas and yields per unit area in 2015, the onion's wholesale prices in June are estimated to be 780 won, 1,100 won, and 820 won for each model. Predicted monthly price after the onion's ship dates is analyzed to exceed 1,000 won after August.

The temperature of root zone was known as an important factor for the growth of crops and reduction of energy in greenhouse. The purpose of this study was to design the apposite inflow of calories per the unit area by comparison of temperature in the warmed and non-warmed soil. The energy needed for soil warming about pipe length showed the change of temperature on inflow and outflow as $2^{\circ}C{\sim}3^{\circ}C$(average $2.5^{\circ}C$). Therefore, the inflow per the unit hour was 3,450, 57,5 kcal/$h{\cdot}m^2$ on soil heating respectively. The non-warmed soil temperature in greenhouse made a difference by depth and it was partially affected inner temperature under 15 cm, but it was not above 15 cm. The soil temperature would be raised over $5^{\circ}C$ than non-warmed soil to increase effect of soil warming. Therefore, the inflow per the unit area that should be provided was about 100 kcal/$h{\cdot}m^2$.
Our country set the mid-term reduction goal of greenhouse gases up to 2020 in accordance with Bali roadmap agreed in 2007 through the negotiation with UNFCCC in 2009 and specified the proper goal as by the Basic Act on Green Growth that went into effect at April, 2010. First of all the enlargement of green building construction has been suggested as a worldwide strategy to achieve the green house gas reduction. Building area is one of most important sectors for the countermeasure of climate change agreement and the achievement of national green house gas reduction goal and the need to reduce its green house gases has been increased accordingly. The objective of the study is to examine the status and characterization of mass energy consumption local governmental buildings' green house gas emissions depending on usage (hotel, school, apartment, hospital) through the green house gas emission source unit analysis. The result indicated that the energy source unit was proportional to green house gas source unit and hotel showed the highest green house gas emission source unit per open area of construction unit, followed by hospital, apartment, and then school. In case of apartment, green house gas emission source unit per open area of construction unit decreased as year went on. Meanwhile school building showed a striking increase in the annual energy source unit.
