Reconstruction of High Resolution Images by ARPS Motion Estimation and POCS Restoration (ARPS 움직임 추정과 POCS 복원을 동시에 이용하는 HR 영상 재구성)

  • In POCS (projection onto convex sets)-based reconstruction of HR (high resolution) image, the quality of reconstructed image is gradually improved through iterative motion estimation and image restoration. The amount of computation, however, increases because of the repeated inter-frame motion estimation. In this paper, an HR reconstruction algorithm is proposed where modified ARPS (adaptive rood pattern search) and POCS are simultaneously performed. In the modified ARPS, the motion estimates obtained from phase correlation or from the previous steps in POCS restoration are utilized as the initial reference in the motion estimation. Moreover, estimated motion is regularized with reference to the neighboring blocks' motion to enhance the reliability. Computer simulation results show that, when compared to conventional methods which are composed of full search block matching and POCS restoration, the proposed method is about 30 times faster and yet produces HR images of almost equal or better quality.

  • In Block Matching Algorithm (BMA), a search pattern has a very important affect on the search time and the output quality. In this paper, we propose the HDS( Half Diamond Search) pattern based on the cross center-biased distribution property of a motion vector. At lust, the 4 points in the above, below, left, and right around the search center is calculated to decide the point of the MBD (Minimum Block Distortion). And an above point of the MBD is checked to calculate the SAD. If the SAD is less than the previous MBD, this process is repeated. Otherwise, the left and right points of MBD are calculated to decide the points that have the MBD between two points. These processes are repeated to the predicted direction for motion estimation. Experiments show that the speedup improvement of the proposed algorithm can be up to 23% while maintaining similar image quality.

  • 충주댐 및 소양강댐 유역에 대해 현재 한국수자원공사에서 개발 사용되고 있는 저류함수 유출모형에 최적화 기법을 적용하여 모형을 효율적으로 자동보정 하기위함이 본 연구의 목적이다. 최적화 기법으로는 다양한 조건하에서도 해의 안정성이 Gradient-Based 방법보다 우수한 직접 탐색법(Direct Search Method)의 하나인 Pattern-Search법으로 선정하였으며 목적함수로는 산정된 유출과 관측치의 편차의 제곱에 대한 누계치로 정의하였다. 합성유입량(Synthetic Inflow)을 이용한 민감도 분석에 의해 매개변수 5개(유역 저류상수 및 지체시간, 포화우량, 하도의 지체시간)를 결정변수로 선정하였다. 또한 실시간 모형의 보정을 위하여 최적화 모형의 수렴조건을 분석한 결과 P-S 법의 증분 감소횟수 2회가 합리적으로 나타났다. 본 모형을 충주댐 및 소양강댐의 과거 홍수사상에 대해 적용하였으며 댐지점에서 전체유역을 일괄 보정하는 방법과 댐 상류 수위국을 기준으로 나눈 중유역별로 일괄 보정하는 방법을 채택하여 분석하였다. 실시간 보정된 모형의 예측기능을 시험한 결과 상당한 오차발생의 여지가 충분하며 중유역별 매개변수의 보정은 대유역 일괄보정에 비해 예측에 따른 오차를 줄일 수 있는 방법의 하나이다. 또한 최적화 기법에 의한 매개변수의 자동 보정은 시행착오에 의한 수동보정의 경우보다 시간 및 노력면에서 효율적이며 보다 신뢰성 있는 보정을 실시 할 수 있다.

  • Lecture room, space for student to study, need to get exactly information and show up what students are required So, problems for illuminated environments are low effect of studying, and that students may get weak-sighted. Research is required to get enough lighting for lecture room which students spend most their time. If we compare lighting system for recent college lecture room with computer simulation, lighting system at the lecture room with down light will be improve intensity of illumination. Therefore we can get economical benefit and save energy.

  • 최근 몇 년간 시계열 데이터의 저장 및 분석에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으며, 시계열 데이터베이스에서 유사패턴(similarity pattern)을 탐색하는 기법이 광범위한 응용분야에서 중요한 연구주제로 자리잡고 있다. 본 논문에서는 회귀분석방법을 바탕으로 한 분해 시계열 방법을 이용함으로써 기존의 유사성의 개념을 확장시켰다. 즉, 시계열 데이터가 가지고 있는 패턴을 여러 성분으로 분해하여 각기 다른 저장 공간에 저장하고, 이를 이용하여 유사성을 탐색할 때에도 분리된 각 성분 중 특정 변동특성이 유사한 데이터를 추가적으로 요구되는 시간없이 검색할 수 있다. 이는 전체 시계열 데이터를 이해하는데 뿐만 아니라 데이터를 예측하는 방법에도 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

  • 공장 현장에서 적용할 수 있는 산업용 비전 검사시스템의 개발을 위해서는 안정적이면서도 고속 패턴 정합이 가능한 알고리즘의 개발이 요구된다. 기존의 농담정규화상관(NGC)법을 사용하는 알고리즘은 과도한 계산량과 조명의 불안정에 영향을 많이 받는 문제점이 있다 본 논문에서는 영상 피라미드와 물체경계의 에지점들을 이용하여 기존 NGC 알고리즘의 단점을 보완하고 고속 패턴정합을 수행하는 에지기반 점상관 알고리즘을 제안하고 이를 실제 영상에 적용하여 그 신뢰성을 검증한다.

  • Niching method enables the genetic algorithm(GA) to be applied to the problems that require the location of multiple solutions in the search space, but these methods have fatal disadvantages. The main disadvantage is that the method requires too much calculation of object function. In this paper, a niching method using restricted competition selection(RCS) combined with a pattern search method(PSM) is proposed to identify multiple niches more efficiently and fast in a multimodal domain. The validity of the proposed method is verified by the simulation of test functions and the optimal design of an torque motor.

  • This study improves the feature tracking method (FTM) in estimating the ocean current vectors from the sequential AVHRR satellite imageries by adding the objective algorithm in defining the edges and boundaries of the oceanic eddies and fronts. It was implemented by using the Sobel operator. The Sobel operator has been proved to be in effective filter in detecting the edges of any object on the image. In estimating the current vectors on the edges defined by the Sobel operator, center coordinates of the Pattern and Search tiles need to be determined by the investigator. The objective feature tracking method combined with maximum cross correlation method (MCC) is turned out to be very efficient and fast, since it uses only parts of the image containing the objects instead of searching the entire image. In the validation with the in situ ADCP measurements of currents in the East Sea, the estimated current speed values are around 35% lower than and current directions are deviated by $34^{\circ}$ from ADCP current vectors. The results are regarded as improved ones compared to the previous investigators'.

  • Many developers utilize specific APIs to develop software, and to identify the use of a particular API, a developer can refer to a website that provides the API or can retrieve the API from the web. However, the site that provides the API does not necessarily provide guidance on how to use it while it can be partially provided in many other cases. In this paper, we propose a novel system JACE (Java AST collocation-pattern extractor) as a method to reuse commonly-used code as a supplement. The JACE extracts the API call nodes, collocation patterns and analyzes the relations between the collocations to extract significant API patterns from the source code. The following experiment was performed to verify the accuracy of a defined pattern: 794 open source projects were analyzed to extract about 15M API call nodes. Then, the Eclipse plug-in test program was utilized to retrieve the pattern using the top 10 classes of API call nodes. Finally, the code search results from reference pages of the API classes and the Searchcode [1] were compared with the test program results.
