Environment Dependent Coherence of a Short DNA Charge Transfer System

  • Relationship between charge transfer mechanism and quantum coherence has been investigated using a realtime quantum dynamics approach. In the on-the-fly filtered propagator functional path integral simulation, by separating paths that belong to different mechanisms and by integrating contributions of correspondingly sorted paths, it was possible to accurately obtain quantitative contribution of different transport mechanisms. For a 5'-GAGGG-3' DNA sequence, we analyze charge transfer processes quantitatively such that the governing mechanism alters from coherent to incoherent charge transfer with respect to the friction strength arising from dissipative environments. Although the short DNA sequence requires substantially strong dissipation for completely incoherent hopping transfer mechanism, even a weak system-environment interaction markedly destroys the coherence within the quantum mechanical system and the charge transfer dynamics becomes incoherent to some degree. Based on the forward-backward path deviation analysis, the coherence variation depending on the environment is investigated numerically.

  • The Mission environment of UGV(Unmanned Ground Vehicle) has a complexity and variety, and the status of system and sensor is dependent on the environment factors such as operation time, the weather and road type. It is necessary for UGV to cope adaptively with the various mission types, operation modes and operation environment as human operators do. To satisfy this necessity, we present an autonomy manager based on the autonomous architecture. In this paper, we design a path planning software architecture and LPP manager by using open autonomous architecture which is previously designed by ADD. Field test is conducted with UGV in order to verify the performance of LPP Manager based on the Autonomous Architecture with scenarios.

오프 라인 티칭에 의한 디버링 NC 프로그램 생성 및 가공 (NC Program Generation Using Off-line Teaching of Deburring Path)

  • Die-casting burr due to casting process is removed by post-process for assembly and quality control of product. Though robot has been widely used for deburring job before, CNC exclusive machine is currently developed f3r high power, high speed machining and quick tool change. Deburring tool path with complex 3D curve type is defined to make out deburring NC program. But there is no efficient method to define it currently used methods with teaching probe on machine. In this study the efficient method to make out deburring NC program is developed. 5-axis digitizing machine is used to receive data of deburring path. And the post processor for NC program generation is developed in consideration of the machining conditions. The developed system is not dependent on the skill of operator and has the advantage to maintain the flexibility of job to modify NC program due to the wear of tool and aging of the die casting.

터널해석에 있어 지하수 거동의 중요성 (Significance of Ground Water Movements in the Numerical Modelling of Tunnelling)

  • Tunnelling in water bearing soils influences the ground water regime. It has been indicated in the literature that the existence of ground water above a tunnel influences tunnel stability and the settlement profile. Only limited research, however, has been done on ground water movements around tunnels and their influence on tunnel performance. Time dependent soil behaviour can be caused by the changes of pore water pressure and/or the viscous properties of soil(creep) under the stress change resulting from the advance of the tunnel face. De Moor(1989) demonstrated that the time dependent deformations due to tunnelling are mainly the results of pore pressure dissipation and should be interpreted in terms of effective stress changes. Drainage into tunnels is governed by the permeability of the soil, the length of the drainage path and the hydraulic boundary conditions. The potential effect of lime dependent settlement in a shallow tunnel is likely to occur rapidly due to the short drainage path and possibly high coefficient of consolidation. Existing 2D modelling methods are not applicable to these tunnelling problems, as it is difficult to define empirical parameters. In this paper the time-based 2D modelling method is adopted to account for the three dimensional effect and time dependent behaviour during tunnel construction. The effect of coupling between the unloading procedure and consolidation during excavation is profoundly investigated with the method. It is pointed out that realistic modelling can be achieved by defining a proper permeability at the excavation boundary and prescribing appropriate time for excavation Some guidelines for the numerical modelling of drained and undrained excavation has been suggested using characteristic time factor. It is highlighted that certain range of the factor shows combined effect between the unloading procedure due to excavation and consolidation during construction.

Time-dependent compressibility characteristics of Montmorillonite Clay using EVPS Model

  • Time-dependent stress-strain behaviour significantly influences the compressibility characteristics of the clayey soil. In this paper, a series of oedometer tests were conducted in two loading patterns and investigated the time-dependent compressibility characteristics of Indian Montmorillonite Clay, also known as black cotton soil (BC) soil, during loading-unloading stages. The experimental data are analyzed using a new non-linear function of the Elasto-Visco-Plastic Model considering Swelling behaviour (EVPS model). From the experimental result, it is found that BC soil exhibits significant time-dependent behaviour during creep compared to the swelling stage. Pore water entrance restriction due to consolidated overburden pressure and decrease in cation hydrations are responsible factors. Apart from it, particle sliding is also evident during creep. The time-dependent parameters like strain limit, creep coefficient and Cαe/Cc are observed to be significant during the loading stage than the swelling stage. The relationship between creep coefficients and applied stresses is found to be nonlinear. The creep coefficient increases significantly up to 630 kPa-760 kPa (during reloading), and beyond it, the creep coefficient decreases continuously. Several parameters like loading duration, the magnitude of applied stress, loading history, and loading path have also influenced secondary compressibility characteristics. The time-dependent compressibility characteristics of BC soil are presented and discussed in detail.

비대칭 이중게이트 MOSFET의 차단전류에 대한 전도중심 의존성 분석 (Analysis of Conduction-Path Dependent Off-Current for Asymmetric Double Gate MOSFET)

  • 비대칭 이중게이트(double gate; DG) MOSFET는 단채널 효과를 감소시킬 수 있는 새로운 구조의 트랜지스터이다. 본 연구에서는 비대칭 DGMOSFET의 전도중심에 따른 차단전류를 분석하고자 한다. 전도중심은 채널 내 캐리어의 이동이 발생하는 상단게이트에서의 평균거리로써 상하단 게이트 산화막 두께를 달리 제작할 수 있는 비대칭 DGMOSFET에서 산화막 두께에 따라 변화하는 요소이며 상단 게이트 전압에 따른 차단전류에 영향을 미치고 있다. 전도중심을 구하고 이를 이용하여 상단 게이트 전압에 따른 차단전류를 계산함으로써 전도중심이 차단전류에 미치는 영향을 산화막 두께 및 채널길이 등을 파라미터로 분석할 것이다. 차단전류를 구하기 위하여 포아송방정식으로부터 급수 형태의 해석학적 전위분포를 유도하였다. 결과적으로 전도중심의 위치에 따라 차단전류는 크게 변화하였으며 이에 따라 문턱전압 및 문턱전압이하 스윙이 변화하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

정규압밀 포화점성토의 응력경로에 따른 변형특성 (Stress Path Dependent Deformation Characteristics of A Normally Consolidated Saturated Cohesive Soil)

  • 정규압밀 점성토의 응력-변형 거동은 응력경로에 의하여 어떠한 영향을 받게 되는가를 규명하기 위하여, 실험실에서 인위적으로 압밀한 Kaolin정성토 공시체를 사용하여 현위치 응력상태인 연. 응 역상태로 압밀하고, 여러가지 서로 다른 응력경로를 따라 삼축추축 배수시험을 행하였다. 그 결과, 응력증가비가 특정한 값, 곧 임계응력증가비를 가질 때 응력-변형 거동은 거의 녹형의 형태로 나타나고, 그 이상이 되면 응력의 증가와 더불어 재료의 성질이 강화되는 변형경화 현상을 나타내고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는, 이러한 변Wi초화 현상을 보이는 응력-변형 거동을 Drnevich의 쌍유선 함수의 개념을 적용하여 모델화 하였으며, 이를 축대칭 하중을 받고있는지반의 응력경로를 고려한 여밀침하 계산에 적용하는 방법을 제시하였다.

서울 및 대전지역에서의 전계강도와 경로손실 분석 (Analysis of Field Strength and Path Loss in Seoul and Daejeon Area)

  • 이동통신에서, 전파경로는 이동국의 위치변동때문에 시간 및 공간에 따라 변한다. 전파경로 손실은 주 파수와 거리뿐만 아니라 안테나 높이, 지형구조와 인위적 환경에 따라 탄라지브로 이동 전파신호의 전파 경로손실을 예측하기는 매우 어렵다. 본 고에서는 대전 및 서울 지역에서 전계강도를 측정하여 단구간 중앙치,500m 거리별 평균치 및 표준 편차를 산출하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 경로손실 특성이 예측모텔과 유사하였으며, 특히 단구간 중앙치 는 기지국 안테나 높이, 지형구조와 인위적 환경에 의존하며, 표준편차는 2-1OdBuV사이에 있음을 알 수 있다.

Complete moment-curvature relationship of reinforced normal- and high-strength concrete beams experiencing complex load history

  • The moment-curvature relationship of reinforced concrete beams made of normal- and high-strength concrete experiencing complex load history is studied using a numerical method that employs the actual stress-strain curves of the constitutive materials and takes into account the stress-path dependence of the concrete and steel reinforcement. The load history considered includes loading, unloading and reloading. From the results obtained, it is found that the complete moment-curvature relationship, which is also path-dependent, is similar to the material stress-strain relationship with stress-path dependence. However, the unloading part of the moment-curvature relationship of the beam section is elastic but not perfectly linear, although the unloading of both concrete and steel is assumed to be linearly elastic. It is also observed that when unloading happens, the variation of neutral axis depth has different trends for under- and over-reinforced sections. Moreover, even when the section is fully unloaded, there are still residual curvature and stress in the section in some circumstances. Various issues related to the post-peak behavior of reinforced concrete beams are also discussed.

  • 본 연구에서는 분석학적 모델을 이용하여 나노구조 이중게이트 MOSFET의 전도현상을 고찰하고자 한다. 분석학적모델을 유도하기 위하여 포아슨방정식을 이용하였다. 전류전도에 영향을 미치는 전도메카니즘은 열방사전류와 터널링전류를 사용하였으며 본 연구의 모델이 타당하다는 것을 입증하기 위하여 서브문턱스윙값에 대하여 이차원 시뮬레이션값과 비교하였다. 이중게이트 MOSFET의 구조적 파라미터인 게이트길이, 게이트 산화막 두께, 채널두께에 따라 전도중심의 변화와 전도중심이 서브문턱 스윙에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 또한 채널도핑농도에 따른 전도중심의 변화를 고찰함으로써 이중 게이트 MOSFET의 타당한 채널도핑농도를 결정하였다.
