  • Phishing website has become a crucial concern in cyber security applications. It is performed by fraudulently deceiving users with the aim of obtaining their sensitive information such as bank account information, credit card, username, and password. The threat has led to huge losses to online retailers, e-business platform, financial institutions, and to name but a few. One way to build anti-phishing detection mechanism is to construct classification algorithm based on machine learning techniques. The objective of this paper is to compare different classifier ensemble approaches, i.e. random forest, rotation forest, gradient boosted machine, and extreme gradient boosting against single classifiers, i.e. decision tree, classification and regression tree, and credal decision tree in the case of website phishing. Area under ROC curve (AUC) is employed as a performance metric, whilst statistical tests are used as baseline indicator of significance evaluation among classifiers. The paper contributes the existing literature on making a benchmark of classifier ensembles for web phishing detection.

  • Recently, personal information issue has been increased. When personal information is taken, it is very important to prevent secondary damage. In this paper, I suggest new logging system using typing pattern that each user has different. So even if someone knows my password and tries to log in to my account, this system rejects it because the intruder has different typing pattern from mine. To justify my research, I develop algorithm extracting personal typing pattern and finding pattern to synchronize with the original user's pattern.

  • The importance of this emerging information security and u-Korea or ubiquitous IT era, and the information security is more important. Especially, the small core device password encryption algorithm is an important part of the secure side channel attack cryptographic algorithms. However, it can provide high level of security, an adversary can attack small core device through implementation of cryptographic algorithms. In this paper describes for the Power Analysis attack and analyze the experimental environment.

  • In todays security industry, personal identification is also based on biometric. Biometric identification is performed basing on the measurement and comparison of physiological and behavioral characteristics, Biometric for recognition includes voice dynamics, signature dynamics, hand geometry, fingerprint, iris, etc. Iris can serve as a kind of living passport or living password. Iris recognition system is the one of the most reliable biometrics recognition system. This is applied to client/server system such as the electronic commerce and electronic banking from stand-alone system or networks, ATMs, etc. A new algorithm using nonlinear function in recognition process is proposed in this paper. An algorithm is proposed to determine the localized iris from the iris image received from iris input camera in client. For the first step, the algorithm determines the center of pupil. For the second step, the algorithm determines the outer boundary of the iris and the pupillary boundary. The localized iris area is transform into polar coordinates. After performing three times Wavelet transformation, normalization was done using sigmoid function. The converting binary process performs normalized value of pixel from 0 to 255 to be binary value, and then the converting binary process is compare pairs of two adjacent pixels. The binary code of the iris is transmitted to the by server. the network. In the server, the comparing process compares the binary value of presented iris to the reference value in the University database. Process of recognition or rejection is dependent on the value of Hamming Distance. After matching the binary value of presented iris with the database stored in the server, the result is transmitted to the client.

  • This research develops an algorithm using image synthesis for a server to authenticate users and implements it. The server creates cards with random dots for users and distribute them to users. The server also manages information of the cards distributed to users. When there is an authentication request from a user, the server creates a server card based on information of the user' s card in real time and send it to the user. Different server card is generated for each authentication. Thus, the server card plays a role of one-time password challenge. The user overlaps his/her card with the server card and read an image(eg. a number with four digits) made up from them and inputs the image to the system. This is the authentication process. Keeping security level high, this paper proposes a technique to generate the image clearly and implements it.

  • In this paper, we proposed scheme that we use a difference of timestamp in time in Ubiquitous environments as we use the Diffie-Hellman method that OTP was applied to when it deliver a key between nodes, and can detect a malicious node at these papers. Existing methods attempted the malicious node detection in the ways that used correct synchronization or directed antenna in time. We propose an intermediate malicious node detection way at these papers without an directed antenna addition or the Trusted Third Party (TTP) as we apply the OTP which used timestamp to a Diffie-Hellman method, and we verify safety regarding this. A way to propose at these papers is easily the way how application is possible in Ubiquitous environment.

  • This paper shows the users' birthplace information can be inferred with only the public information in FaceBook SNS. Through experiments with various machine learning algorithms and various parameters, we have found that SVM algorithm with the location of the highschool, the current address, and the graduate year of highschool performs best for the inference, as this can infer 78% of users' birthplaces correctly. Since the birthplace information is used for various security purpose such as questions for getting the forgotten password and a part of korean residence registration number, this is a non-trival security breach and users need be cautious about it.

  • The concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) enables physical objects or things to be virtually accessible for both consuming and providing services. Undue access from irresponsible activities becomes an interesting issue to address. Maintenance of data integrity and privacy of objects is important from the perspective of security. Privacy can be achieved through various techniques: password authentication, cryptography, and the use of mathematical models to assess the level of security of other objects. Individual methods like these are less effective in increasing the security aspect. Comprehensive security schemes such as the use of frameworks are considered better, regardless of the framework model used, whether centralized, semi-centralized, or distributed ones. In this paper, we propose a new semi-centralized security framework that aims to improve privacy in IoT using the parameters of trust and reputation. A new algorithm to elect a reputation coordinator, i.e., ConTrust Manager is proposed in this framework. This framework allows each object to determine other objects that are considered trusted before the communication process is implemented. Evaluation of the proposed framework was done through simulation, which shows that the framework can be used as an alternative solution for improving security in the IoT.
