단품(축/OUTPUT 기어)조립을 위한 온간압입공정 해석 (Analysis of the Warm Shrink Fitting Process for Assembling the Part(Shaft and Output Gear))

  • Fitting process carried out in the automobile transmission assembly line is classified into three classes; heat fitting, press fitting, and their combined fitting. Heat fitting is a method that heats gear to a suitable range under the tempering temperature and squeezes it toward the outer diameter of shaft. Its stress depends on the yield strength of gear. Press fitting is a method that generally squeezes gear toward that of shaft at room temperature by a press. Another method heats warmly gear and safely squeezes it toward that of shaft. Warm shrink fitting process for the automobile transmission part is now gradually increased, but the parts (shaft/gear) assembled by this process produced dimensional changes in both the outer diameter and profile of the gear. So that it may cause noise and vibration between gears. In order to solve these problems, we need an analysis of warm shrink fitting process, in which design parameters are involved; contact pressure according to fitting interference between outer diameter of shaft and inner diameter of gear, fitting temperature, and profile tolerance of gear. In this study, an closed form equation to predict contact pressure and fitting load was proposed in order to develop an optimization technique of the warm shrink fitting process and verified its reliability through the experimental results measured in the field and FEM, that is, thermal-structural coupled field analysis. Actual loads measured in the field was in good agreements with the results obtained by the theoretical and finite element analysis.

  • Recently, the importance of CAE research is growing with the advances of the automotive and computer industry. In addition, multi-body dynamics and powertrain analysis are the most important factors in improving the vehicle design. Since engine torque with curve-data was used for analyzing full car simulation in the multi-body dynamics system for many years, it is impossible to assess the concurrent analysis of the engine and powertrain element included in a real full car system. In powertrain, since vehicle are usually modeled as a simple mass and a inertia, they can not be seen as real cars. Moreover, it is hard to obtain additional dynamics data other than the longitudinal velocity value in movement. Because of the reason that was previously discussed, it is necessary to consolidate the two parts as one routine program for design and development through the coordinate system connectivity, and presented here is a program named O-DYN. Using an object-oriented language C++, this program has a good structure with the valuable characteristics of objectivity, inheritance, and reusability. The reliability of this multi-body dynamics program is examined by DADS, which is the general dynamics program, using DAE solver and PECE integral function with the common coordinator separation method. As a result, we can obtain a better solution and total dynamics data in either area through this process. This program will be useful for analyzing full car simulation with powertrain.

  • 시스템 수준의 프로토콜 명세를 위한 정형 기법들은 S/W 구현에 중심을 둔 반면, 성능의 향상을 위해서 프로토콜의 설계를 H/W로 구현하는 것에 대한 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 따라서, 특정한 프로토콜을 이용한 시스템의 S/W적 구현에서 H/W적 구현으로 기반 환경이 변화함에 따라 IP(Integrated Processing)기술의 도입이 필요하게 되었다. 또한, 정형 명세로부터 시작하는 H/W의 구현 방법은 정형 명세의 특성에 의해, 구현된 H/W의 정확성, 신뢰성을 보장할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 형식기술기법중의 하나인 ESTELLE로 정형화된 프로토콜을 H/W언어인 VHDL로 변환하는 방법을 제시한다. 우선 ESTELLE 명세를 VHDL 명세로 변환하는 변환방법을 기술한다. 이는 개념적인 변환방법으로 프로토콜 명세화의 기본 단위인 computation unit과 communication unit의 동작과 H/W에서의 프로세스간 동작의 유사성 등을 비교 분석하였다. 그 후 변환 모델을 기술하고, Inres 프로토콜을 통하여 실제로 ESTELLE을 VHDL로 변환하는 예를 제시한다.

병원 급식.영양 서비스 향상을 위한 질 관리 기준 및 질 평가 도구의 개발 (Development of Quality Management Standards and Evaluation Tool for the Quality Improvement of Hospital Food and Nutrition Services)

  • The purpose of this study were to : a) establish quality managements standards and performance indicators in order to define the concept of the hospital food and nutrition services, b) develop a self evaluation tool for quality management applicable to dietetic department's CQI program on the basis of the estabilished quality management standers, c) investigate the factual quality of hospital food and nutrition services throught the result of the application study of the quality management tool and the perceived quality by the patients servery, and d) verify the validity of the quality management tool through analysing the correlation between the factual quality and the preceived quality. The quality management standards were classifie dinto 3 parts, 'Nutrition Care', 'Foodservice Operation', and 'Management Function'. There consisted of 72 quality management standards and 293 performance indicators. The developed quality evaluation tool using 5-Likert scale was performance at 45 general hospitals over 400 beds in Seoul and Kyungki-do. Also, 1,573 patients in 42 hospitals were participated in the patient survey. The result of quality evaluation tool application study showed that 17 standards were relatively high(more than 4.5) and 22 relatively low(less than 4.0) in score. The categorical mean scores of $\ulcorner$Nutrition Care$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$Foodservice Operation$\lrcorner$and $\ulcorner$Management Function$\lrcorner$ were respectively 60.7, 162.8, and 73.5 Each mean score was conversed to 81.0, 83.5, and 81.7 on the basis of 100 point scale, but the range of score was very wide between hospitals. The Cronbach's $\alpha$ was more than 0.6 in 59 quality management standards, this result verified reliability of the quality management tool was proved. The factual quality showed positive correlation with the perceived quality. Therefore, this result verified the criterion validity of the quality management tool.

Psychometric Evaluation of Uterine Cervical Cancer Screening Embarrassment Questionnaire among Korean Women: Complementary Use of Rasch Model

  • Purpose: Cervical cancer can be prevented by regular cervical screening. Embarrassment has been reported as one important barrier to cervical screening uptake. The absence of appropriate instrumentation, however, has limited our understanding of the links between embarrassment and health care outcomes. The purpose of this study was to evaluate psychometric attributes of the uterine cervical cancer screening embarrassment questionnaire. Methods: A convenience sample for field study was recruited from four gynecological clinics in Gyeongju, Korea. Within a cross-sectional descriptive design, 339 women who had cervical screening completed self-administered measures of embarrassment including a visual analogue, general medical embarrassment, dispositional embarrassment, and Pap smear related negative emotion. Results: Rasch analysis of items demonstrated the evidence of one-dimensional construct and good 7-point rating scales functioning. Factor analysis revealed that uterine cervical cancer screening embarrassment was comprised of two domains-bodily manifestations and perceiving an undesirable social face. Construct validity was demonstrated by a high subscale-to-subscale correlation. Convergent and discriminant validity was evidenced by significant correlations with a 100 mm VAS scale, general medical embarrassment, and Pap smear related negative emotion. Known-group validity was established by comparing women with high versus low trait embarrassment. Both two sub-scales and overall scale demonstrated good internal reliability. Conclusion: The Uterine uterine cervical cancer screening questionnaire is a reliable and valid instrument suited to assessing the manifestations of embarrassment during screening. The use of instrument can be extended to understand the client's embarrassment undergoing health examinations which require the exposure of their private parts.

Earthquake risk assessment of concrete gravity dam by cumulative absolute velocity and response surface methodology

  • The concrete gravity dam is one of the most important parts of the nation's infrastructure. Besides the benefits, the dam also has some potentially catastrophic disasters related to the life of citizens directly. During the lifetime of service, some degradations in a dam may occur as consequences of operating conditions, environmental aspects and deterioration in materials from natural causes, especially from dynamic loads. Cumulative Absolute Velocity (CAV) plays a key role to assess the operational condition of a structure under seismic hazard. In previous researches, CAV is normally used in Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) fields, but there are no particular criteria or studies that have been made on dam structure. This paper presents a method to calculate the limitation of CAV for the Bohyeonsan Dam in Korea, where the critical Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) is estimated from twelve sets of selected earthquakes based on High Confidence of Low Probability of Failure (HCLPF). HCLPF point denotes 5% damage probability with 95% confidence level in the fragility curve, and the corresponding PGA expresses the crucial acceleration of this dam. For determining the status of the dam, a 2D finite element model is simulated by ABAQUS. At first, the dam's parameters are optimized by the Minitab tool using the method of Central Composite Design (CCD) for increasing model reliability. Then the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) is used for updating the model and the optimization is implemented from the selected model parameters. Finally, the recorded response of the concrete gravity dam is compared against the results obtained from solving the numerical model for identifying the physical condition of the structure.

고압 수소설비용 비금속부품 소재의 FMEA 평가를 통한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the FMEA Evaluation of Non-metallic Materials in High-Pressure Hydrogen Facility)

  • 국내 친환경 수소차 보급 정책에 따라 수소차와 수소충전소 인프라 개발에 대한 관련 업계의 연구는 활발하게 진행 중이다. 반면에 수소차와 수소충전소의 내구성 및 신뢰성에 직접적인 영향을 주는 기밀용 비금속 소재(라이너, 씰, 개스킷 등)의 위험성 평가 및 재료에 관한 실증 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 FMEA를 활용하여 고압 수소 설비에 사용되는 비금속 부품의 라이너와 씰에 대한 위험요소를 도출한 후 심각도, 발생빈도, 검출도 등급을 점수로 환산하여 RPN값을 산정하였다. RPN의 최대값 600, 최소값 63, 평균값이 278.5로 산출되었으며, 라이너와 씰에 대한 주기적인 관리가 중요함을 확인하였다. 더불어 비금속 고무제품에 대한 수소침지와 산소노화시험을 통해 기초 자료로 활용 가능한 물리적 실험값을 제시하고자 하였다.

PAUT-based defect detection method for submarine pressure hulls

  • A submarine has a pressure hull that can withstand high hydraulic pressure and therefore, requires the use of highly advanced shipbuilding technology. When producing a pressure hull, periodic inspection, repair, and maintenance are conducted to maintain its soundness. Of the maintenance methods, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is the most effective, because it does not damage the target but sustains its original form and function while inspecting internal and external defects. The NDT process to detect defects in the welded parts of the submarine is applied through Magnetic particle Testing (MT) to detect surface defects and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Radiography Testing (RT) to detect internal defects. In comparison with RT, UT encounters difficulties in distinguishing the types of defects, can yield different results depending on the skills of the inspector, and stores no inspection record. At the same time, the use of RT gives rise to issues related to worker safety due to radiation exposure. RT is also difficult to apply from the perspectives of the manufacturing of the submarine and economic feasibility. Therefore, in this study, the Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) method was applied to propose an inspection method that can address the above disadvantages by designing a probe to enhance the precision of detection of hull defects and the reliability of calculations of defect size.

  • 철도차량 수송 수단은 차량이다. 특히 운행 간격이 짧은 지하철의 경우는 출퇴근 혼잡 시간대에 차량 1개 편성의 장애라도 전체 노선으로 영향을 주게 된다. 따라서 운행 중 고장 예방 을 위해 예방 정비 체계에 따라 정비용 부품, 인력과 시설 등의 많은 비용을 투입 하고 있다. 그러므로, 차량 설계시 안전성과 신뢰성을 우선으로 장애 발생의 최소화와 장애 발생시 파급 영향 최소화에 설계의 중점을 두어야 한다. 5호선은 1기 지하철 노선을 보완 하는 노선으로 심도가 깊고 곡선구간이 매우 많으며 분진 발생도 많은 노선이다. 5호선 전동차 인버터 장치 장애 원인을 분석하고 대책을 통하여 차량 설계 및 사양 선정의 중요성을 고찰 해 보았으며, 지속적인 유지관리의 중요성에 대하여 연구 하였다.

  • 전자부품 조립사업은 제품불량이 발생했을 때, 입고된 원자재불량 또는 작업불량을 추적하는 것이 중요하며, 결과에 따라 납품업체 또는 작업현장 개선이 중요하다. 스마트팩토리의 핵심 과제는 데이터 통합허브를 구축하여 저장·관리·분석을 실시간으로 처리하고 클러스터공정, 에너지, 환경, 안전을 통합관리 하는 것이다. 전자부품 관련 중소기업에 생산현장관리를 실시간 모니터링하여 생산데이터의 정확한 분석과 수집으로 신뢰도를 향상시키기 위해서는 스마트팩토리 구축이 필수적이다. 본 논문은 스마트팩토리를 도입하고자 하는 전자 부품관련 중소기업의 특성을 고려해 시스템 구성방법, 스마트팩토리 관련기술 과 적용사례 등을 정의하여 구축에 활용토록 개발되었다.
