Librarians, who work for University libraries in Korea experience a lot of confusion and difficulties because of rapidly-changing technological conditions and under-developed understanding of the University Libraries' full potential on the part of the users. I present the concept of 'Subject Services' as an approach which librarians could use to overcome these difficulties in their own way. The 'Subject Services' refers to the 'subjectized' collection development and reference services, which can more specifically address the users' needs. To make this idea more concrete, I selected Pusan National University Library as the case of my qualitative research. And I made use of various research techniques such as 'participant observation' and 'ethnographic interview'. After looking into the case library in depth, I found that the concept of 'Subject Specialist'. a person who has double master's degrees including that of library and information science, is more suitable to the University Libraries in Korea at the present developmental stage. At the end of this article, propose that the development of Core Collections, the improvement of subject-oriented reference services and the continuing education of librarians should be emphasized.

The most important part of RIMS(Rolling Stock Information Maintenance System) project is to construct BOM(Bill of Material). BOM is a listing or description of raw materials, parts, and assemblies that define a product. To construct BOM for RIMS is not a easy task due to several reasons such as data base scale and flexibility, proper integration between physical BOM and functional BOM, interoperability with other systems, etc. In this study we show several principles that Seoul Metro takes to get over the difficulties mentioned above. Based on these principles we propose the methodology Seoul Metro employs to construct BOM efficiently. We also discuss the applicability of BOM in several fields.

The occlusive coronary artery disease presents a potential threat to a significant population in the United State. According to many case reports, the increasing incidence of coronary artery disease due to atherosclerosis is noted in Korean, recently. We experienced one case of coronary artery disease. He was a 68 year old male who had been suffered from hypertension since 1 5 years ago, and had intermittent conservative treatment at local clinic. He had been afflicted with severe chest pain on exertion, but this symptom was relieved on rest. Pre-operative EKG finding revealed no any other ischemic sign. Significant S-T segment depression was noted at lead II, aVF, V3, V4, and V5, and inverted T wave in V5 and V6 after Master`s test. Simple chest X-ray finding showed emphysematous field, bilaterally. Final pre-operative diagnosis was made by coronary angiogram, which showed almost 90% degree of occlusive lesion in the proximal part of left main coronary artery above the origin LAD artery. He was treated successfully by aorta-coronary saphenous vein graft under extra-corporeal circulation in May, 1987. He has been followed up with uneventful course.

Rapid Prototyping(RP) techniques have revolutionized traditional manufacturing methods. These techniques allow the user to fabricate a part directly from a conceptual model before investing in production tooling and help develop new models with significant short time. This paper suggests to new process to manufacture large size hollow shape parts for prototype-car using Rapid Prototyping technology and Vacuum Molding with the reduction of delivery time. In addition, This paper introduces the dividing and combining method to make large size RP master model in spite of the limit of the build chamber dimensions of commercialized RP system and post-processing method to achieve sufficient surface quality.

The purpose of this study is to grasp the application tendency of interior accessories in Korean residential spaces. The main resources were selected documents and articles with pictures published 27 years, from 1976 to 2002, in Modern House, which is the first magazine for the residential space in Korea. The major findings are summarized as follows: 1) Interior accessories were investigated more for functional reasons than decorative reasons. Despite the belief that interior accessories are Primarily for decoration purposes, this study proves that the functional elements are more important as part of the Korean interior. 2) The kind and the amount of interior accessories applied in residential space were decreasing in most accessories as well as in master bedroom, and living rooms from 1994 to 2002. 3) The number of application to Korean traditional accessories in residential space decreases as time goes by. Although they were used as functional accessories as the role of antiques in present.

Recently natural characteristics and esthetics have been interested increasing in clinical dentistry. Thus the evaluation of the shade of dental porcelain has become an important part in dental research. Noritake Super Porcelain EX-3 Vita shade A2 (Noritake, Japan) Vintage HaLo Vita shade A2 (Shofu, Japan), Vita omega 900 Vitapan 3D-master shade 2M2 (Vita, Germany) were conducted for six times for repeated firing in a way to observe the change of color with respect to the number of firing. The repeated firing was implemented with the vacuum firing and air firing, and by using Shade Eye-EX Chroma meter (Shofu, U.S.A.), the changes in values of shade, value and chroma were compared. With the above results, the change of color was not noticed only in Vita when repeated firing was applied.

In the secret sharing scheme, the reconstruction secret must to exposed to participants. In order to enforce the same secret sharing schemes, a new secret have to regenerate and redistribute for participants. Such a regeneration process is inefficient because of the overhead in the regeneration. In this paper, we proposed efficient secret regeneration scheme by eigenvalue. it can be also redistribution without revealing with other participants.

The electricity demand has been in the trend of increase for the past 30 years except last year due to economic crisis. The central electrical power dispatch center anticipates each and every hour's electricity demand and dispatch every power plant's output(MW) taking into account of the costs, frequency regulation abilities, locations, reliabilities and so on. to meet the demand as quickly as possible. The large portion of the power plants' output is contolled automatically by the AGC(Automatic Generation Control) function which is a part of the EMS(Energy Manage System) computer in the dispatch center. To receive the electrical power dispatch signal from the EMS, a power plant should have a remote MW control feature in the turbine control system or unit master control system. We investigated the AGC function and a power plant's remote MW control configuration.

In teleoperation robotic system such as hydraulically actuated robotic excavator for dangerous area, the maneuverability and convenience is the most important part. Particularly the force information is important in dealing with digging and leveling operation in the tole-operated excavator. We have developed Logic Design Training Kit for studying, actual training, designing of FPGA(Xillinx) or CPLD(ALTERA CPLD), the Digital Logic Device. This training kit has 12 matrix keys, RS232 port for serial communication and uses LED array. six FND(Dynamic), LCD as display part. That is standard specification for digital logic training kit. Special point of this kit is that we make two logic device trainig kit. This two logic device kit have more smaller and simple architecture because only uses one chip. That chip already includes a lot of functions that need for training kit, such as : complex logic circuit needed the two kind of logic devices, 16 way of system clock deviding function, serial communication interrupt....etc. We called that one chip is Center Bridge Chipset ; Xillinx FPGA Spartan2. User can select between using one device of FPGA or CPLD, or uses both them. Because of, Center Bridge Chipset has profitable architecture. it can work as Logic Device's networking with Master-Slave connection When using both logic devices.
