  • The purpose of the experiment was to clarify morphologically normal growth pattern of the ductus deference in accordance with the sex maturity of meat-type cockerels. 1. Diameter of lumens in u, pp.r, mid and lower parts of ductus deferens, the most conspicuous enlargement of lumen was observed in the lower part. Heights of epithelial layers of ductus deferens showed abrupt growth at 12 weeks of age with subsequent gradual growth in all the part of u, pp.r, mid and lower, and heights of those at 30 weeks were a, pp.oximately 4 times as large in the u, pp.r and mid parts and 5 times as large in the lower part in contrast to those at 4 weeks of age. Thickness of muscular layer of ductus showed gradual growth in contrast with the diameter of lumen and height of epithelial layer, showing 1.3 times as large in the u, pp.r part, 1.6 times in the mid part and 1.9 times in the lower part at 30 weeks of age in contrast to the thickness at 4 weeks of age. 2. Within 10 weeks after hatching, lining cells of ductus deferens were mainly composed of round cells and columnar cells in simple columnar epithelium. During 10th to 20th week, the lining cells were mainly composed of high columnar cells and round cells in pseudostratified epithelium. From 22nd week, the lining cells were composed of pseudostratified columnar cells. Whereas round cells disa, pp.ared gradually. Enlargement of lumen and pooling of sperms in ductus deferens coincided with the maturation of seminiferous tubules. 3. In simple correlation between the values of testis weight and the values from various measurements in the ductus deferens, there was significant correlation coefficient with each other. 4. In the India ink absorption test, India ink granules were not absorbed on the epithelium of the ductus deferens, but the granules reactive to acid phosphatase a, pp.ared in a line on the free border of each parts of the ductus deferens. The granules reactive to alkaline phosphatase were noted on the luminal border of ductus deferens mainly, but weak reaction showed than acid phophatase were a, pp.ared. The granules reactive to PAS were a, pp.ared mostly near on the free border of hte epithelial cells of ductus deferens. 5. Number of sperm, Indes of sperm vitality and MRT in the different parts of ductus deferens were tended to be somewhat dominant in the mid and lower parts than in u, pp.r part, even though not significant in the statistical analysis. Ratio of sperm abnormality was tended to be relatively high in the u, pp.r part too, and in the sperm of abnormality blunted head was less in number significantly in the mid and lower part than in the u, pp.r part.

  • Reverse engineering is defined as the process where the internal structures and dynamics of a given system are inferred and analyzed from external observations and relevant knowledge. The first part of this paper surveys existing techniques for biosystem reverse engineering. Network structure inference techniques such as Correlation Matrix Construction (CMC), Boolean network and Bayesian network-based methods are explained. After the numeric and logical simulation techniques are briefly described, several representative working software tools were introduced. The second part presents our component-based software architecture for biosystem reverse engineering. After three design principles are established, a loosely coupled federation architecture consisting of 11 autonomous components is proposed along with their respective functions.

  • In this paper, we propose the modified VQ, applied correlation between codewords in order to reduce the error rate due to personal and speakers' temporal variation. Such a modified VQ is used in the stage of preprocessing of HMM and the temporal variation is absorbed by nonlinear Decimation and Interpolation of vowel part that we obtain higher recognition rate than not so case. The objects of experiment are Korea 142 DDD regional names and we show that the proposed method increase the recognition rate.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate personality adaptation factors related to life satisfaction of the aged. Personality adaptation factors were classified into four factors(The active-intergration, The dependent-passivity, The failing-overaboundance, The self-negativity). The hypothesises of this study are as follow : (1) Personality adaptation factors can be predited by demographic variables and family environmental variables. (2) Life Satisfaction can be predited by demogaphic variables and family environmental variables. (3) Each personality adaptation factors will be correlated with life satisfaction. For the test of hypothesises, Questionnaries were given to the randomly selected 332 persons over age 60 in Pusan. Questionnaries consist of 4 parts. These are demographic part, family environment part, personality adaptation factor part, and life satisfaction part. The data collected were analyzed by satistical methods such as Case, Percentage Factor Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis, and Pearson's Correlation. According to the results of the analysis of this study, primary, personality adaptation factor is decided by personal problem. But, this personality adaptation factor of the aged is affected by family environment. Particulary, in the results of the study, frequent communication with their family is more important than physical solidary.

  • This study are conducted to observe the correlation which are concerned with tile internode length to the leaf area and leaf weight. Where as, small leaf variety Gae Ryang Su Ban, and large leaf variety Ro Sang are adopted to observe their correlations in a group consisting of 30 varieties and in identifiable varieties. The results are as follows: A. Such positive correlations are observed between each characteristics and leaf area with leaf weight. (1) There are highly positive correlation between internode length and leaf area with leaf weight together within varieties group. (2) No correlation with stem length is observed, but high correlation is acknowledged in identifiable varieties although positive correlations are recognized. (3) Correlations are showed between stem volume and leaf area with leaf weight in identifiable varieties, especially Gae Ryang Su Ban higher than any other varieties. (4) Petiole length is not correlated to leaf area and leaf weight in varieties group, but petiole weight is highly correlated to leaf area and leaf weight in varieties group, Gae Ryang Su Ban and Ro Sang variety. B. Internode length along with the stem parts shows the same tendency of variance as most varieties do; internode length of I part at the base is the longest one, gradually shrunk to that of III part and gloved longer, and again internode length becomes shorter to the top. C. Variance of leaf area and leaf weight along with the parts are the lowest ones at the I part, gradually increased to the maximum at IV part, and here after it comes to shrink.

  • It is a long known fact that there exists a tight correlation between far-infrared and radio emission both for galaxies hosting active galactic nuclei and for star forming galaxies. We probe the radio - infrared correlation for a sample of extragalactic sources constructed by the cross-correlation of the AKARI/IRC All-Sky Survey Point Source Catalogue, the AKARI/FIS All-Sky Survey Bright Source Catalogue, and the NRAO VLA Sky Survey. Additionally, all objects of our sample were identified as galaxies in NED and SIMBAD databases, and a part of them is known to host active galactic nuclei (AGNs). After remeasuring all the fluxes, in order to avoid small aperture effects, we compare the ratio of radio to infrared emission from different types of extragalactic sources, and discuss the FIR/radio correlation as seen by AKARI and make a comparison to the previous results obtained thanks to IRAS.

  • This paper proposes an algorithm to improve the correlation between giga-hertz transverse electromagnetic (GTEM) cell and open area test site (OATS). It is based on the dipole modeling process of an unknown source object in a GTEM cell and on the evaluation of the approximate far field equations correlated with measured GTEM powers at output port of the GTEM cell. In this algorithm, the relative phase differences between dipole moments play an important part in modeling the test object as a set of dipoles and offer stable calculation of emission values. The radiated emission test using this algorithm requires fifteen orientations of equipment under test, but the increased orientations as compared with the previous method have little effect on the time needed for testing. Radiation from a notebook computer has been tested for statistical analysis of the correlation between GTEM data and OATS data. The emission test results of the notebook computer show that the mean, the standard deviation, and the correlation coefficient are -0.62, 1.99, and +0.85, respectively. These figures indicate that this algorithm provides improved accuracy in the measurement of electromagnetic emissions over the previous method.
