Methods: The data were collected from 207 students in grades 5 or 6, and descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficients and Stepwise multiple regression were used with the SPSS/PC 12.0 program to analyze the data. Results: There was a significant difference in loneliness between the upper 25% and lower 25% groups of peer relationships, perceived parental rearing attitudes, and self-reported attachment security. Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed affection-hostility in parental rearing attitudes, validation and conflict in peer relationships, and attachment security explained 39.6% of the total variance in loneliness. Conclusion: These results may contribute to a better understanding of loneliness in upper elementary school-age children. The results of the present study indicate a need to develop nursing interventions to prevent and manage children‘s loneliness.

  • The present study examined how the psychological well-being of young adults was affected by the perceived parental rearing attitudes and how self-concept clarity and the perceptions of emerging adulthood mediated this causal relationship based on Arnett's the theory of emerging adulthood. We specially focused on affectionate or rejective types of perceived parental rearing attitudes and possibility or instability perceptions of emerging adulthood. We performed survey research with 358 university students from six universities located in Seoul, and other cities in South Korea and analyzed collected data using SPSS 25.0 and SPSS Macro. As a result, we found correlational relationships between psychological well-being of emerging adulthood and other variables. Also, we found the mediating effect of the self-concept clarity in the relationship between the psychological well-being and the perceived parental attitudes: affectionate, rejective. However, we only found the mediating effect of the perceived possibility perception of emerging adulthood was significant in the relationship between the psychological well-being and affectionate parental rearing attitudes. Finally, we found a sequential mediation effect that the self-concept clarity and then perceived instability perception of emerging adulthood affected in the relationship between psychological well-being and rejective parental rearing attitudes of emerging adulthood. Based on results, implications and suggestions for counseling service and psychological education for university students faced emerging adulthood were discussed.

Employed mothers had significantly higher score on love acceptance attitude than unemployed mothers did. Female children had more conservative attitude on clothing sex-role than male children did There were no significant gender differences in parental child-rearing attitudes. There were significant relationships between gender and preferred clothing colors. Male children were more likely to prefer blue red, green, and prussian blue for the colors of clothing than were female children while female children liked pink yellow and orange more than male children. Boys selected blue and girls selected pink as the most preferred clothing color. Overall preschool children chose red as the most preferred color black as the most disliked color. The children's sex identification by clothing color was highly consistent with the conservative attitude of adults for all colors. That is preschool children identified pink red and yellow with female color while prussian blue blue and green with male color. Clothing interest of boys was influenced by the mother's state of employment and academic trait. The boys high in academic trait and whose mothers did not have job were high in clothing interest. Clothing management of boys was influenced by emotionality and love acceptance rearing Ttitude. Clothing independednce of boys was influenced by authority control rearing attitude Clothing sex-role of boys was influenced by familism trait. The boys high in familism trait had open-hearted attitude in clothing sex-role. Clothing interest of girls was influenced by academic trait clothing management by sociality clothing independence by emotionality and clothing satisfaction by familism trait. • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between children's self-efficacy, parental child-rearing attitude perceived by the child, and creativity. The study subjects were 120 5th and 6th graders at elementary school in Gyeongbuk. The instruments of measurement were question sheets, Self-Efficacy Scale, and Parental child-rearing attitude Scale. For creative thinking tests, the Kim Yong-Chae version of TTCT (Torrance Test of Creative Thinking) was used. The data were analysed through mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentile, Cronbach's $\alpha$, and Pearson's Correlation Coefficient. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, the results from the correlational analysis didn't yield significant and meaningful correlations between children's self-efficacy and thinking creatively with words. Nevertheless, children's self-efficacy was partly related to thinking creatively with pictures. Second, the results from the correlational analysis didn't yield significant and meaningful correlations between warmth vs. rejection altitude of father and thinking creatively with words. Warmth vs. rejection attitudes of father was not related to thinking creatively with pictures. However, the results from the correlational analysis yielded a number of significant and meaningful correlations between self-control vs. regulation attitudes of father and the thinking creatively with words. The self-control vs. regulation attitudes of father was significantly positively related to the thinking creatively with pictures. Third, the warmth vs. rejection attitudes of mother was significantly positively related to the thinking creatively with words. However the warmth vs. rejection attitudes of mother was not related significantly to the thinking creatively with pictures. The self-control vs. regulation attitudes of mother was not related to the thinking creatively with words. Moreover, self-control vs. regulation attitudes of mother was not related to the thinking creatively with pictures.

  • The present investigation of the relations among economic hardship, parental child-rearing attitudes and adjustment in adolescence was carried out with 528 middle school children and their mothers in Kyung-gi province. Questionnaires for mothers were on economic stress, and children's questionnaires were on perceived parental attitudes as well as their own adjustment behaviors, such as aggression, depression, and negative self-concept. Adolescent boys perceived paternal child-rearing attitudes more rejecting and inconsistent when the family experienced income loss. Paternal nurturing behaviors perceived by children were also reduced under poor paternal working conditions. Change in family life style due to economic hardship resulted in higher adolescent depression.

The randomly chosen 390 subjects of the 4th and 5th elementary school students (boy: 199, girl: 191) of J City participated in this research. The main scales were EMBU-Shot, Smartphone Addiction Scale and NEO-PAS. Spss 22.0 was used for its statistical analysis, that is correlation analysis and regression analysis. The main results are as follows. First, parental rearing attitude, smartphone addiction, and aggression and impulse were statistically significantly correlated. Second, it is testified that rejective parental rearing attitudes statistically significantly increasingly influenced smartphone addiction with partial mediation of aggression and impulse. Also overprotective parental rearing attitudes statistically significantly increasingly influenced smartphone addiction with full mediation of them. It suggested the importance of intervention for aggression and impulse of the children with smartphone addiction as well as parental rearing attitude changes in intervening and counseling them. This study tried to supply evidence-based and basic data for the developing preventive education and counseling programs for them. The limit and future tasks were discussed.
