Fuzzy Control Through Singularity (특이성에 대한 퍼지 제어)

  • For irregular nonlinear systems, switching controlk form is proposed recently. This control law is designed to overcome the singularities through the scheme that switches between an approximate tracking law close to the singularities, and an exact tracking law away from the singularities. But, that form has problems which may break the system's stability through unstable control input value at switching procedure. In this paper, We propose new switching control law which supervises approximate tracking control law and exact tracking control law by fuzzy rules to overcome unstability problem in switching procedure.

  • The determination of appropriate buffer capacity is an important issue in the design of the advanced manufacturing systems and closely related to the system efficiency and flexibility. Work-in-process is usually not desirable. However, in reality, maintaining some capacity of buffer storage is inevitable in compensation for the machine blocking and break down. The objective of this paper is to present analytical methods and tools for the buffer capacity planning in the Flexible Manufacturing System Environments. The effects when machine blocking is critical factor are also discussed.

  • This paper describes a versatile finite element technique which has been used to investigate wide range of structural defects of practical importance. The procedure automatically remeshes the three-dimensional finite element model during the stages of crack growth. Problems include the surface cracks in leak-before-break situations, the shape development of multiple surface defects.

  • An expert system DESPRESS is developed to diagnose the fault of press by using CBR technique. In this paper, we describes the subjects for development of the system. DESPRESS deals compositly with perceptive symptoms, functional abnormalities, lamp signals and gage values, and then outputs fault parts and fault status for the press. The expert system can be used to prevent occurance of unexpected fault and minimize break times for failures.

  • In this paper, the crack properties of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFHC) beams by experimental method are discussed. The major role played by the steel fiber occurs in the post-cracking zone, in which the fibers bridge across the cracked matrix. Because of its improved ability to break crack, SFRC has better crack properties than that of reinforced concrete (RC). Crack properties are influenced by longitudinal reinforcement ratio, volume and type of steel fiber, strength of concrete and the stress level. Crack width and crack number in the SFRC beams havebeen evaluated from experimental test data at various levels in the beams.

  • Various linear cost models have been proposed that can be used to determine a sampling plan by attributes. This paper is concerned with this sampling cost model when the probability that the number of nonconforming item is smaller than the break-even quality level is known. In addition to this situation, a constraint by AOQL is considered. Under these conditions, optimal sampling plan which minimize the average cost per lot is suggested.

  • In this paper, we proposed new maximum electric power tracking algorithm by composing Buck-boost chopper circuit to charge electric power from wind energy generator which is under low and high wind velocity. The break function is also proposed with the existed buck-boost chopper switch. We made a proto-type as a lab level to verify appropriateness of using proposed circuit.

  • The inspection policy and inspection error are very critical factors which influence the outgoing quality. In other words, such factors influence the acceptance rate of the incoming matarials. Hence, the outgoing lot size is varied. This paper presents a method to compute the break-even point(pb1, pb2) under these two factors, which canbe used to determine the economic acceptance inspection type.
