For a good design, it is important to understand consumers and trend of textile and fashion design. Previous researches on textile pattern design with CAD have been done. They have studied on Korean traditional floral motives/hand painting or some geometric patterns. Few studies have been done on conversational design. Therefore the purpose of study was to observe types of textile pattern design for the recent fiver years and determine fabric pattern trends, especially on the conversational motifs. The types of patterns were analysed with professional panels from the 2005～2009 collection sources, using SPSS program. This study was also develop textile patterns creating using CAD. We conducted design process on motif creating, repeat, and mapping jobs, using textile special design program Prima vision and Photoshop CS3.

At the early design stage, a designer would develop a design through reviewing various alternatives. However, the limitation of human information handling capacity restricts what makes various alternatives. A way to overcome the limitation is to create the alternatives with computer power and the generative design concept with computer has been used. For the generative design, even if a great deal of methodologies has been presented, the core of methodologies would be the process of shapes which examine interrelationship among shapes and how shape can be changed with the interrelationship. The interrelationship can be represented as rules. To represent the rule, the shape grammar is suggested by Stiny in 1972 with the article of "Shape Grammars and the Generative Specification of Painting and Sculpture". The aim of this paper is to present a way of using generative design based on shape grammar for generating alternatives in 3D manner.

During the seventeenth century, Amsterdam experienced unprecedented growth and affluence, and the city developed into the world's staple market playing an indispensable role in Silk Road trade. This era, which coincides with post-reformation Dutch society, also allowed artists to produce art works depicting objects from everyday life, moving away from the earlier religious subject matter. This paper intends to look into seventeenth century Dutch paintings from their social setting, especially focusing on the influence of the Silk Road in the art making process. The paper also looks into the Chinese side of Silk Road interaction and discusses how Chinese porcelain reflects cultural influence from the Dutch. The paper incorporates Silk Road as a methodology to discuss art works departing from earlier practices in art history. This approach allows us to understand art as a product of multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural experience. The methodology invites more discussion on numerous art forms which emerged along the Silk Road trading route to expand and explore the history of East-West cultural exchange.

Stainless rolling stocks are usually fabricated by spot welding process without painting. Indentation on the surface of the car body after spot welding injures the beauty of the stainless rolling stocks. In this study, electrode tips to reduce the indentation are developed and applied to the actual spot welding works. The developed tips are composed of head, nut hole far cooling water, body and resistance material. They provide large surface contact area with the base materials during spot welding and enhance the current density by necking. Experimental results using the developed tips show that small indentation and sufficient tensile shear strength is produced due to large contact area and enhanced current density.

In this study, I have researched into the causes of defects in apartment house, The results of this study are listed below. (1) Water leakages which result from land sinking and cracks, results of misuse of back filling method, are the main reason of defects in civil engineering work and architectural work. (2) Inexperience and unwillingness are the main reason of defects in plaster work. (3) In windows work and painting work, the main reasons are lacks of precision construction and efflorescence resulting from outdoor air, respectively. (4) Defects in waterproofing work and electric work result from fault construction by low unit Costs. (5) Equipment work requires uses of standardized construction materials and management, and landscape architecture work requires minimizing human mistakes, for instance, degin carelessness. For the reasons stated above, the causes of defects in apartment house are insufficient construction labors, inferior construction materials, urgent construction process time, and conscientiousless industrialists who only seek after a profit margin.

In this study, electrophoretic paint (E-paint) was deposited on the knife-abraded surface of AZ31 magnesium alloy (AZ31), and its adhesion and corrosion resistance were examined by tape peel-test and salt spray test, respectively. E-paint started to deposit on AZ31 Mg alloy after an inductance time and pores were found in the E-paint layer which is ascribed to hydrogen bubbles generated on the surface during the painting process. The pores disappeared after curing for 15 min at $160^{\circ}C$. The E-paint on AZ31 exhibited good adhesion after immersion in deionized water for 500 h at $40^{\circ}C$. The E-paint sample without scratch showed no corrosion after 1500 h of salt spray test. However, on the scratched sample, blisters were visible adjacent to the scratched sites after 500 h of salt spray test.

In this study, in attempt to develop a new application technique of discharge plasma, we employed a kind of discharging method called SPCP ( short for Surface discharge induced Plasma Chemical Process). Applications of SPCP have been widely used for years. Compact ozonizers to deodorize household equipments like refrigerators we a part of such applications. We took advantages of the compactness and durability of the SPCP electrode to set up an experimental apparatus for decompositing vapor of aromatic hydrocarbons such as toluene, benzene and xylenes, which are major substances given off In painting or washing processes and aggravate working conditions. Results obtained from this study are summarized as follows. 1) Aromatic hydrocarbon vapors of up to 2,000ppm were almost thoroughly decomposed at the flow rate of 4ℓ/min or lower under the discharge with electric power of 400 Watts. 2) In dry air, as the decomposition progresses, tar-like substance deposits on the discharging areas, which deteriorated the decomposition rate in the end. This substance, however, was almost thoroughly removed by keeping discharge in dry air containing no solvent vapor.

The skinpassing conditions such as roll type, roll force and roll roughness of the work roll were evaluated to give the surface properties of the galvanized steel sheets that were required for automotive and to get rid of the surface defects that caused with the bad control of galvanized coating process parameters. The surface defects of the galvanized steel sheets such as the ripple mark and the scratch were completely removed as the roll force of SPM work roll was increased and the amount of the transfer of roll surface texture to the strip was also gained a lot. The image clarity of electro discharge textured (EDT) coated steel sheets before and after painting was higher than that of the bright (BRT) and shot blasted (SBT) coated steel sheets because of higher PPI value, lower waviness and uniform surface pattern. Since micro-craters transferred on the surface of the galvanized steel sheets played a role of nucleation sites of chromate reaction, Increase of micro-craters was bring to better corrosion resistance with the increase of the roll force and the use of EDT roll at the skin pass mill.

In this paper, we explains the process to illustrate the color harmony of the painting by kindergarten students. First pictures of each of the colors to be converted to a vector image is placed. Next, the color balance based on the re-paint colors, each color harmony and disharmony is known. This paper proposed an art education students how to place colors, whether to provide a general education.
