Due to the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) modernization, recently launched GNSS satellites transmit signals at various frequency bands such as L1, L2 and L5. Considering the Korean Positioning System (KPS) signal and other GNSS augmentation signals in the future, there is a high probability of applying more complex communication techniques to the new GNSS signals. For the reason, GNSS receivers based on flexible Software Defined Radio (SDR) concept needs to be developed to evaluate various experimental communication techniques by accessing each signal processing module in detail. This paper proposes a novel SDR-based A-GNSS receiver capable of processing multi-GNSS/RNSS signals at multi-frequency bands. Due to the modular structure, the proposed receiver has high flexibility and expandability. For real-time implementation, A-GNSS server software is designed to provide immediate delivery of satellite ephemeris data on demand. Due to the sampling bandwidth limitation of RF front-ends, multiple SDRs are considered to process the multi-GNSS/RNSS multi-frequency signals simultaneously. To avoid the overflow problem of sampled RF data, an efficient memory buffer management strategy was considered. To collect and process the multi-GNSS/RNSS multi-frequency signals in real-time, the proposed SDR A-GNSS receiver utilizes multiple threads implemented on a CPU and multiple NVIDIA CUDA GPGPUs for parallel processing. To evaluate the performance of the proposed SDR A-GNSS receiver, several experiments were performed with field collected data. By the experiments, it was shown that A-GNSS requirements can be satisfied sufficiently utilizing only milliseconds samples. The continuous signal tracking performance was also confirmed with the hundreds of milliseconds data for multi-GNSS/RNSS multi-frequency signals and with the ten-seconds data for multi-GNSS/RNSS single-frequency signals.

The 6LoWPAN(IPv6 Low-power Wireless Personal Area Network) performs IPv6 header compression, TCP/UDP/IGMP header compression, packet fragmentation and re-assemble to transmit IPv6 packet over IEEE 802,15.4 MAC/PHY. However, from the point of view of security. It has the existing security threats issued by IP packet fragmenting and reassembling, and new security threats issued by 6LoWPAN packet fragmenting and reassembling would be introduced additionally. If fragmented packets are retransmitted by replay attacks frequently, sensor nodes will be confronted with the communication disruption. This paper analysis security threats introduced by 6LoWPAN fragmenting and reassembling, and proposes a re-transmission mechanism that could minimize re-transmission to be issued by replay attacks. Re-transmission procedure and fragmented packet structure based on the 6LoWPAN standard(RFC4944) are designed. We estimate also re-transmission delay of the proposed mechanism. The mechanism utilizes timestamp, nonce, and checksum to protect replay attacks. It could minimize reassemble buffer overflow, waste of computing resource, node rebooting etc., by removing packet fragmentation and reassemble unnecessary.
Stormwater runoff containing considerable amounts of pollutants such as particulates, organics, nutrients, and heavy metals contaminate natural bodies of water. At present, best management practices (BMP) intended to reduce the volume and treat pollutants from stormwater runoff were devised to serve as cost-effective measures of stormwater management. However, improper design and lack of proper maintenance can lead to degradation of the facility, making it unable to perform its intended function. This study evaluated an infiltration trench (IT) that went through a series of maintenance operations. 41 monitored rainfall events from 2009 to 2016 were used to evaluate the pollutant removal capabilities of the IT. Assessment of the water quality and hydrological data revealed that the inflow volume was the most relative factor affecting the unit pollutant loads (UPL) entering the facility. Seasonal variations also affected the pollutant removal capabilities of the IT. During the summer season, the increased rainfall depths and runoff volumes diminished the pollutant removal efficiency (RE) of the facility due to increased volumes that washed off larger pollutant loads and caused the IT to overflow. Moreover, the system also exhibited reduced pollutant RE for the winter season due to frozen media layers and chemical-related mechanisms impacted by the low winter temperature. Maintenance operations also posed considerable effects of the performance of the IT. During the first two years of operation, the IT exhibited a decrease in pollutant RE due to aging and lack of proper maintenance. However, some events also showed reduced pollutant RE succeeding the maintenance as a result of disturbed sediments that were not removed from the geotextile. Ultimately, the presented effects of maintenance operations in relation to the pollutant RE of the system may lead to the optimization of maintenance schedules and procedures for BMP of same structure.
An underground deep tunnel system is a facility in form of a reverse siphon for an under flood defense structure. In this study, the 'Shinwol rainwater storage and drainage system', which is under construction for the first time in South Korea, in order to confirm the effects of undular bore and pressurized air on the hydraulic stability of the facility in various flood scenarios a hydraulic model experiment was performed. As a result of this study, it was analyzed that the undular bore generated downstream pushed the pressurized air collected in the facility while moving upstream, and the pressure inside the pipe increased at this time. It was analyzed that the pressure during the passage of the undular bore was greater than the sum of the static pressure and dynamic pressure at the time and overflow occurred when the cross-sectional size of the pressurized air was more than 40% of the cross sectional area of the tunnel. It is determined that this is correlated with the volume of pressurized air collected in the facility, and it is determined that it is necessary to study the relationship between velocity of undular bore and the volume of pressurized air in the future.
The levee protect lifes, houses, and properties by blocking overflow of river. The revetment is forced to be covered on the slope of levee in order to prevent erosion. The stability of revetment is very important enough to directly connected to the stability of levee. In this study, the weak points of revetment on meandering channel were found by movable revetment experiment and the velocity and the water surface elevation (WSE) were measured at main points. The 3-D numerical simulations were performed under same conditions with experiment. And unclear flow characteristics by the limit of measuring instruments were analyzed through numerical simulation. Consequently, the section of large wall shear stress and the failure section are almost the same. Despite of small wall shear stress, the revetments located at right bank were carried away because of circulation zone due to secondary flow by meandering. With existing riprap design formula, the sizes of riprap determined using maximum local velocity were 1.5~4.7 times greater than them using mean velocity. As a result of this study, it is necessary to calculate the size of riprap in other ways for meandering and straight channel. At a later study, if the weighted value considered the radius of curvature and shape of hydraulic structure is applied to riprap design formula, it is expected that the size of revetment was evaluated rationally and accurately.

The regional division by the characteristics of the drainage patterns is important to understand its physical environment comprehensively, because the drainage network develops in reflecting characteristics of geological, geographical and climatical features in the drainage basin keenly. This study is the attempt to divide physical region in China whose drainage pattern is diverse. Chinese drainage basin is mainly divided into the interior drainage basin and the peripheral drainage basin. The interior drainage basin is divided into (1)the deranged pattern and (2)the centripetal pattern. The peripheral drainage basin is divided into (1)the dendritic pattern, (2)the parallel pattern, (3)the radial pattern and (4)the anastomatic pattern. Drainage patterns of the interior drainage basin are formed by affecting geographical features and climatic conditions mainly. In the peripheral drainage basin, drainage patterns are formed by other factors: the parallel pattern is connected with geological structure lineament by tectonic movement, the radial pattern with changes of the river channel resulted from the Yellow River's overflow, the anastomotic pattern with human's activities. The distributional features of the physical region in China are as follows: The deranged pattern appears in Zangbai Plateau, the centripetal pattern does in arid basin of the northwest China. the parallel pattern does in Hengduan mountains affected strongly by tectonic movement between Yangtze paraplatform and Indian Plate, does in the upper stream of Yangtze River and Ganges River in the south of Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, the radial pattern in Huaihe Haihe River drainage basin appearing in the alluvial fan region of Yellow River's downstream and the anastomotic pattern does in the delta of Yangtze River, in the northern coastal plain of the Jiangsu-Province and in the delta of Zhujiang River. Except these areas in the peripheral drainage basin, the dendritic pattern is usually found in the other areas.

Electronic industry had required the finer size and the higher performance of the device. Therefore, 3-D die stacking technology such as TSV (through silicon via) and micro-bump had been used. Moreover, by the development of the 3-D die stacking technology, 3-D structure such as chip to chip (c2c) and chip to wafer (c2w) had become practicable. These technologies led to the appearance of HBM (high bandwidth memory). HBM was type of the memory, which is composed of several stacked layers of the memory chips. Each memory chips were connected by TSV and micro-bump. Thus, HBM had lower RC delay and higher performance of data processing than the conventional memory. Moreover, due to the development of the IT industry such as, AI (artificial intelligence), IOT (internet of things), and VR (virtual reality), the lower pitch size and the higher density were required to micro-electronics. Particularly, to obtain the fine pitch, some of the method such as copper pillar, nickel diffusion barrier, and tin-silver or tin-silver-copper based bump had been utillized. TCB (thermal compression bonding) and reflow process (thermal aging) were conventional method to bond between tin-silver or tin-silver-copper caps in the temperature range of 200 to 300 degrees. However, because of tin overflow which caused by higher operating temperature than melting point of Tin ($232^{\circ}C$), there would be the danger of bump bridge failure in fine-pitch bonding. Furthermore, regulating the phase of IMC (intermetallic compound) which was located between nickel diffusion barrier and bump, had a lot of problems. For example, an excess of kirkendall void which provides site of brittle fracture occurs at IMC layer after reflow process. The essential solution to reduce the difficulty of bump bonding process is copper to copper direct bonding below $300^{\circ}C$. In this study, in order to improve the problem of bump bonding process, copper to copper direct bonding was performed below $300^{\circ}C$. The driving force of bonding was the self-annealing properties of electrodeposited Cu with high defect density. The self-annealing property originated in high defect density and non-equilibrium grain boundaries at the triple junction. The electrodeposited Cu at high current density and low bath temperature was fabricated by electroplating on copper deposited silicon wafer. The copper-copper bonding experiments was conducted using thermal pressing machine. The condition of investigation such as thermal parameter and pressure parameter were varied to acquire proper bonded specimens. The bonded interface was characterized by SEM (scanning electron microscope) and OM (optical microscope). The density of grain boundary and defects were examined by TEM (transmission electron microscopy).
The spatial distribution characteristic of fish community were investigated at the 10 habitat types in the Nonsan stream from August, 2008 to June, 2009. The collected species during the surveyed period were 26 species belong to 6 families. Korean endemic species were Sarcocheilichthys nigripinnis morii, Squalidus japonicus coreanus, Hemiculter eigenmanni, Pseudobagrus koreanus, and Odontobutis interrupta which showed 19.2% ratio of total species. Dominant species was Zacco platypus, and subdominant species was Tridentiger brevispinis. Dominant species according to habitat types were Micropterus salmoides(substrate type pool and rock type pool), Lepomis macrochirus(channel connected pool and channel unconnected pool/abandoned type pool), T. brevispinis(channel unconnected pool/overflow type and run) and Z. platypus(riffle, meander type pool, side channel, and dam type pool). As a results of community analysis in side channel, diversity index showed relatively high values, indicating that habitat types in the Nonsan stream have relatively stable community structure. Bray-curtis cluster analysis indicated that the meander type pool and riffle showed the most similar values(80.8%). Moreover, cluster and principal component analysis were classified as 2 groups(lotic and lentic habitats).
The detention reservoir is a hydraulic structure that constructs a levee on the inland of river and sets up side weir in a section of the levee, and this facility stores a part of the flood volume in case of a flood event over a certain scale. In order to optimize the operation of detention reservoir, it is necessary to review the linkage with existing facilities in the river. In this study, the effect of water level reduction and the flow distribution was analyzed according to the location of the side weir in the detention reservoir considering the run-of-the-river gate. Two radial gates were installed in the experimental channel, and the water level in channel and the overflow of weir were measured by moving the location of the side weir upstream from the gate. As a results of experiment, it was confirmed that the water level reduction is more remarkable as the location of the side weir was closer to the gate, and the effect of flow distribution is not greatly changed. When two or more side weirs were operated, it is confirmed that the sufficient storage space was secured and the water level reduction effect with the location of the side weir is not large. In addition, the water level reduction rate according to the location of the side weir was estimated by empirical formula and it is provided as basic data that can be used in the planning of the detention reservoir.
Deep Tunnel system is a large-scale urban flood control facility installed underground in order to reinforce the lack of drainage systems in developed cities. In a structure like a deep tunnel system, the undular bore generated in the downstream causes a problem in the hydraulic stability of the tunnel. In this study, to investigate the influence of the undular bore on the hydraulic stability at the "Shinwol rainwater storage and drainage system", under construction for the first time in the country, a hydraulic model experiment was conducted on various flooding inflow scenarios. As a result of the hydraulic model experiment carried out in this study, the undular bore generated downstream is trapped in the pipe while moving to upstream, pushes the compressed air. It is judged that overflow occurred by choking the vertical drop shaft in the process when this compressed air is being exhaust through the upstream vertical drop shaft and blocking flood inflow. In addition, the analysis of velocity of undular bore shows that the undular bore transfers energy, and at this time, the pressure rose in the pipe and the velocity increment occurred of the undular bore. Further studies are needed to predict the size and velocity of undular bore, which plays an important role in the hydraulic stability of the tunnel in the deep tunnel system.
